Country House 053 is in a great location, especially if you have young children. Every morning, our daughter woke to the joy of looking out her 2nd story bedroom window at the meadow and seeing the horses running back to the stable. The condominium is just a hop and a skip from the recreation center as well as the Lodge Pool. We could also walk to the playfields where there was a complete set of playground equipment and lots of room to run. The condo itself was nicely decorated, had a well-equipped kitchen and a nice deck for enjoying happy hour every afternoon!

We had 2 children and it was nice to be near the play area and the lodge pool. The grass area in front was also nice for them. The view was great. The house itself was very comfortable - compact but very useable. The kitchen was a little crowded. But we didn't use it much, so no real loss.

We have stayed once a year at Black Butte Ranch for many years. We usually go off-season and love the quiet, the view, and all-around comfort. However, we have found that we do not participate in enough of the activities offered to justify the cost. On our most recent trip to Central Oregon, we stayed at a hotel on the Metolius. At $150 for a room with a view of the lake or grounds at Black Bute, it is not economical for us. We will reconsider in the future if the prices are more within our budget.
