This Central Oregon vacation rental reverse living home has a carport and ample parking. Guests will enjoy the short walk or bike ride with the kids to the Glaze Meadow Recreation Center & Spa. The living room, kitchen, dining area and master bedroom suite are on the upper level, and two guest bedrooms, bathroom and laundry room are on the lower ground level. This is a pleasant home and we had a lot of fun. It was very clean and well outfitted with kitchen necessities and linens. Beds were comfortable. No bath for kids, you have to use the massive jetted tub in the master. The living area is on the top floor, which provides great light and nice views of the woods, but necessitates lugging everything up and down a couple of flights of stairs.
Our main issue was the sole reliance of Cadet in-wall space heaters to heat the home. They are located near the floor, are loud, and become dangerously hot in use. We have two small children, and on our last day, our 3-year old daughter badly scorched and blistered her hand in multiple places when she touched one. I am surprised that these heaters even pass building codes with how much of a fire and child hazard they are.
The house is being updated but overall it still feels a little dated.
All this said, the location is terrific and we enjoyed our stay. -

This is a good location and a nice set up for a family with a few kids. It is lacking in the television department a bit, but that only matters in the rain.

The location is great for families, but cooks should avoid this rental as the stove is in bad shape. We had several hassles during check-in, and when I mentioned the problems with the unit upon check-out the clerk didn't seem to care.

Nice place to stay, close to the Glaze Meadow pool, tennis courts, bike rental, and playground. Nice decor inside, two bedrooms downstairs and a master bedroom upstairs. Had a jetted tub, but renters are not allowed to use it - too bad, but that's the perks of ownership, I guess. Black Butte Ranch is our favorite place to stay in Oregon.
