Chattanooga, TNA short family gathering.
Left on 09/13/2012 for a stay in September 2012
We rented Hi View Hideaway for just two nights, as we were meeting our daughter with husband and toddler. They came from Chapel Hill, NC and Black Mountain was halfway between them and Chattanooga. It was easy to find the Greybeard Rental office and then find our house.
We were very pleasantly surprised to see how lovely and cozy the house was.It was clean, had nice decorations, a warm family feeling. It's a real home with all you could need. Plenty of kitchen stuff, toys, books, games.
For our toddler they had high-chair, Pack& Play bed, Stair-gate,toys.Comfortable beds, TV with movies to watch, Great porch with rocking-chairs, tables.
We played cards at night and they even had card-table and chairs.
We had a most lovely time in this home and plan to come back and we will recommend it to others.
We loved Black Mountain town and visited a lake with ducks to feed and play-ground the first morning. Our Father's Pizza-place served served good food.We drove to Montreat, close by and saw their college, hiked up Lookout Mtn to the top and had picknick at Calvin's picknick area there.Lovely places.
Then we drove up the BlueRidge Parkway to Craggy Gardens, with its fantastic views. -

Greybeard Realty always provides a good experience with excellent customer service. Hi View Hideaway has a wonderful view and was comfortable enough. The upstairs is hot, with only one window a/c unit. The downstairs master suite is nice, upstairs rooms more basic. Lots of rooster themed stuff in the house--even silverware!
We enjoyed our stay. I think this cabin would be nicer in the fall and winter.
Steep, gravel drive, but only a few steps for my elderly parents. -

Great rental!! The cabin was very quaint and better looking that the pictures. It was very clean and provided a lot of extras that made our stay very enjoyable. Great views. Close to town, restaurants, and grocery stores, yet still up in the mountain that you have that secluded feel. We stayed very comfortably with four adults and two small children. A great place for families!! Would highly recommend this cabin!!

Hi View Hideaway was everything we had hoped for - it was comfortable, cozy, and convenient. It looked just like the pictures and was very clean and well stocked with linens, pots/pans, dishes etc. We fell in love with Black Mountain and how close Hi View Hideaway was to everything in town - galleries, restaurants, golf, etc.
Thank you for a great get-away! We'll be back. -

MadridGreat location, peaceful setting, lovely views, very well equipp
Left on 01/31/2012 for a stay in December 2011
My wife and I stayed here over Christmas and Hi View provided the perfect break from urban life. Greybeard Realty, especially Renda, really helped in choosing Hi View and their team is both charming and highly professional.
This seems to be one of the few houses combining a peaceful location in the woods, not overlooked, view of mountains, a rustic feel, large deck and garden plus a working log fireplace. Otherwise, why stay in the mountains?
And all within a few minutes of Black Mountain village with a museum, arts center, Saturday market, shops, pharmacy, bank, good eateries and two pubs - one of them, the White Horse, an exceptional music venue.
The house was very well equipped (inc wifi), had excellent heating, was very comfortable, homely and extremely clean. Logs were provided. The owners even sent a friend to deliver new frying pans even though we had not made a single complaint.
Asheville is only 20 mins. down the I-40 and locally there are good walks, especially above Montreat. -

Loved this spacious and well-appointed cottage for our family of five. The view was amazing, the location was super convenient but still "remote", and we were very comfortable. So much to do in the area - we just ran out of time and will be back!

Left on 12/02/2009 for a stay in November 2009
The realtor was very helpful when we chose which house to rent. I thought the cabin was very cozy. The views were beautiful, which is why I picked this cabin. The kitchen was well stocked. We prepared a complete Thanksgiving dinner there. The layout of the cabin worked well for our family. We had plenty of room. I even grew fond of chickens. I liked that we were so close to the town of Black Mountain. The whole experience was great.

Hi View Hideaway is a perfect place if you want to take a break from the day to day city life. Though very close to many shops and restaurants, you don't feel it that way. All the facilities/ amenities provided were great. I had wonderful time spending my weekend at this place.
The service provided by Greybeard Realty was just great. They provided timely assistance, they went out of their way to help me chose the place to stay and never had any problem with them during and after the stay. -

Little River, SCA wonderful "hideaway" in the mountains!
Left on 08/19/2009 for a stay in August 2009
We truly felt at home at "Hi View Hideaway". It
has such a "cozy" feel to the home! It was
tastefully decorated in a warm, friendly decor. We
were comfortably cool in the home with the 3 window
air conditioners, even though the whole week was in
the 90's.... we were comfortable at all times. The
view from the deck was MAGNIFICENT! I hope the
owners will keep the trees trimmed back in front of
the deck so that that amazing view is never lost!
We felt their hospitality in that home with all the
little "extras" in the cupboards, (sugar, spices,
etc.) We will surely be back again! Thank you for
the pumpkin bread, as well! That was a special,
delicious touch!! -

Left on 08/05/2009 for a stay in August 2009
We stayed three nights and loved the place. It is complete - everything you need is there at the house.
Very pleasant side area with a a gazebo, water feature and a hammock.
It's close to the town of Black Mountain, so food, etc. is close by.
The view could be great, but it was hindered by tall trees that are close obscuring the mountainside.
It's a great place to be for peace and solitude.
