A great cabin. Very quiet and peaceful. It was was a wonderful time for our family to reconnect and relax. I would definitely recommend this cabin to anyone who wants to pull aside from the busy life and rejuvenate. The pumpkin bread as a welcome gift was great!

      Perfect Retreat

Left on 07/18/2012 for a stay in July 2012

House spotlessly cleaned, directions precise, keys easily accessed.

Photos and 360 video great but actual house is even more spacious and beautiful than shown.

I loved the remoteness of our mountain, others in my group, though loving the house, wish they could have gotten to local attractions quicker.

I'd be a happy visitor there all summer...screened porch my favorite spot.

A great getaway for a relaxing time.

Left on 01/04/2012 for a stay in December 2011

The home is a little bit of a drive up the mountain but feels very safe and has everything you need for cooking and relaxing. Be sure to stop at the Straightaway cafe which is the closest place to grab a bite or beer. The directions I got from the rental agency were not so good, so make sure you take a GPS or investigate the most direct route which is the westernmost exit to Highway 9 from Interstate 40. Probably going to try and visit this place again.

A cozy and beautiful place to spend Thanksgiving.

Left on 12/08/2011 for a stay in November 2011

We had a lovely visit to Three Winds this Thanksgiving holiday. It is in the beautiful neighborhood of Creston, just a few minutes from Cheshire Village, Black Mountain, downtown Black Mountain and a few more minutes to asheville. Everything in the house worked well and it was well-equipped with anything you could possible need. The beds were really comfy and the wireless worked great, too. We would definitely stay here again. Oh, and thanks for the delicious pumpkin bread, Greybeard!
      Thanks!

The cabin was beautiful and very comfortable. The photos don't do it justice. The cabin was nicer than I imagined and very roomy. Greybeard Realty was quick to respond and very helpful. I will difinately be back.

      Simple and Quaint

Left on 11/10/2011 for a stay in November 2011

Three friends and I stayed in Three Winds this past weekend. We were able to access the cabin with ease. The furnishings were wonderful. We were all very impressed at how clean the cabin was. Towels and linens were provided. The outside fire place was very nice(firewood included with stay)! The cabin came with many board games that we took advantage of. Most of our time was spent at the huge dining room table playing cards, board games or just talking. The kitchen was perfect if you have one or two people cooking, any more it gets cramped, but very very nice kitchen utilities! We had plenty of pots, pans and etc. that we needed. Location is perfect; it takes exactly 14 minutes to get to the center of Black mountain, and exactly 19 minutes to get to downtown asheville. As close as this might seem, you feel somewhat secluded (i will discuss this in detail further). It is three stories total, with a day bed, a couch, library, a washer and dryer and bathroom with and shower with the pool table downstairs. On the middle and main story, the cabin has a screened in porch outside as well as access to huge porch! ...inside: love seat and a couch, a very nice remote controlled fire place, Entertainment center with flat screen TV, dining room table, the master bedroom, bathroom and kitchen. Loft had two twin beds. Minor complaints: Both shower heads hardly had pressure, making it difficult to shower under dripping water. The pool table was fun but is very uneven on edges of the table. (Impossible to play a serious game) What the description does not say is that directly in front (about 50 yards) is another cabin facing three winds. Still with these small dislikes, we all thoroughly enjoyed staying at three winds! Everything in and around the cabin was so so nice. If they were to fix a couple problems like the showerheads and pool table it would be close to perfect. We highly recommended booking with grey beard reality. Beautiful Location

Left on 06/10/2011 for a stay in April 2011

We enjoyed the extra space and kitchen over staying in a hotel. Everything was clean and new. If you are planning to visit asheville from the cabin, the drive is about 45 minutes. The closest grocery stores and restaurants are about a 15 minute drive. There are several trails to hike on by the cabin. We enjoyed our stay.

      Good experience

Left on 06/08/2011 for a stay in June 2011

Stayed at the cabin with my wife and friends. Very nice, clean, newly constructed cabin. Nice screened in porch and wrap around deck. Very large basement with pool table. Loft can be a little warm in the summer, but we turned up the aC which helped. Cabin is about a 15 minute drive from Black Mountain - a very nice little town. Only slight negative is view is not spectacular as it is about half way up the mountain. All being said I would recommend and stay there again.

      Awesome!!!

Left on 05/18/2011 for a stay in May 2011

We had a wonderful time and the cabin was more than we could have imagined, even better than the pictures we saw online! You could not want for anything, had all the comforts of home and more. It definitely is a great place to have fun and to relax. I think the absolute only thing that was missing that we would have really liked was a hot tub on the outside deck. If it would have had that, it would have been complete perfection. Other than that though, it was as close to perfect as you could get, would definitely like to come back some time! Great for families and friends to get together for fun times, relaxing, and enjoying the lovely Blue Ridge Mountains! The staff at Greybeard Realty was extremely nice to work with also, very helpful and pleasant.

Very nice new home with a lot of room. The kids loved the pool table. The only negative was that the beds downstairs were not clean (trundle mattress pads).

      Beautiful cabin in peaceful setting.

Left on 07/29/2009 for a stay in July 2009

We found everything about this rental wonderful. The booking process went really smoothly and the staff in Black Mountain were really nice and helpful. It was a 15/20 minute drive from Black Mountain but well worth it. The cabin had everything you would need for a holiday. It was in a very quiet location with gorgeous views of the mountains. Our favourite thing was sitting on the balcony either early morning or evening and getting visited by hummingbirds and woodpeckers! We even seen a black bear on our way home one night! Would defibately recommend this property to friends and family and would go back in an instant.
