This home was packed with everything you would ever need. Games, tons of books, personal touches everywhere. Kitchen is extremely well equipped with very premium cookware and utensils. Perfect views from the porch and waterfalls close by. This is a definite place to return to.

My friends and I had a wonderul experience at Grace house during my birthday weekend in October 2012. The house was incredibly clean and accommodating. There were seven of us and we had more than enough space. The driveway was steep but totally manageable--don't let it be a deal breaker. My biggest regret is that I didn't plan for more down time in house. Everyone wanted to stay an extra day to just hang out. I totally recommend this place for family and friend get aways.

Used the house as home base for a recent mountain bike race/ride weekend with a large group of friends. From the views, to the quaint town of Black Mountain, and the proximity to Pisgah National Forest, this is the best place to
call home when visiting the area. We have tried many options before and there is no doubt this will be a permanent fixture on future trips. -

I was very pleased overall with this house. It is very secluded, which I loved, but if you like to walk down the road to a shop or to the grocery, this is not the house for you. It would be a wonderful honeymoon getaway or a house for a retreat. The house comes with a very serious driveway - not good for the less-adventurous.

Grace House is a roomy, well appointed home in one of our favorite areas- the secluded hills of Laurel Ridge,a 10 minute or so drive from downtown Black Moutain through the country into the mountains yet only a few miles in distance. Well written directions from Grey Beard lead you to the house even though you wonder if you are going the right way.
The kitchen is very nicely equipped, the beds very comfortable, and living areas and decks nicely decorated and had ample space to spread out.
We had to establish dominance over the satellite TV channel selection as both the upstairs and basement TV were controlled by the same receiver and had to be on the same channel. That did not make those that wanted to watch baseball happy while we watched Dancing with the Stars! Perhaps that situation could be remedied?
The drive is quite steep and backing down may be intimidating, but is not a problem- go slowly and use your side view mirrors.
Very clean and comfortable with a casual classiness, Grace House beckons you to pause, put up your feet, and soak in the mountain calm.Response from Greybeard Rentals - 07/05/2012

Thank you so much for your review. Just an update on the TVs - The upstairs and downstairs TV's can be on different channels...there is a button to switch on the satellite DISH receiver that allows for separate controls for the two TV's. Somehow that must have gotten switched. Sorry about that. Next time you are here and something like that happens, feel free to call us and often we can walk you through it over the phone. We will be sure to include direction at the house as well now.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at the Grace House. It was inviting, well decorated, comfortable, clean and well apportioned. We enjoyed the games, the view and the beautiful kitchen. The view from the porch was wonderful. You could see several different mountains. Can't wait to come back here in the Fall. I loved that there were rocking chairs throughout the house, but would have loved one on the porch.
