Cottages On Serenity Lake

Our cottages can sleep 2 persons up to 70 persons and we have a total of 13 bedrooms and 7 bathrooms. We have custom rock, wood-burning fireplaces and a small gas fireplace, full of custom wood and enough windows to make you feel like you are in the woods even while inside! There is an outdoor hot tub in front of each porch facing Serenity Lake, your own fire pit and your own beach.

You are right on your very own private 7-acre, spring-fed lake which is called Serenity Lake surrounded by over 500 acres of Mother Nature full of trails to enjoy! There are only 4 homes and they are 125 yards from each other so you have a lot of privacy and the feeling you are the only one on the property! We only allow our clients on our property so you are not sharing the property (and Serenity Lake) with the public as there is no public access! Fishing at Serenity Lake is usually outstanding with our priorities being 1- There are always big fish; 2- There are always plenty of fish; 3- You can keep enough to make a nice fish dinner! We limit the numbers & sizes so Serenity Lake never gets fished out! (And there is no fishing license required!)
We have a volleyball court, 2 horse-shoe pits and 2 small swingsets available as well. We also offer canoe, kayak and rowboat rentals or you are welcome to bring your own (though we do not recommend boats over 16-18 feet). Gas motors are not allowed, though electric trolling motors are fine. We are also 2 minutes from Hatfield which has 900-acre Lake Arbutus and many of our clients will take their motorized boats there for the day and return to Serenity Lake for the privacy & tranquility.
We are 2 minutes from Hatfield (a big ATV hub and where Clark & Jackson Counties meet), 5 minutes from Lake Arbutus, Black River , State & County land, a county bike trail and even a horse trail. We are 8 miles from Black River Falls which includes Interstate 94, a Super-Walmart, a movie theatre, a small outdoor waterpark, an excellent golf course, gift & antique shops, many restaurants & bars, 3 miles from Lake Wazee (the deepest & clearest lake in the State of Wisconsin) and 4 miles from Majestic Pines Casino.

  We are very busy people and really were looking for a getaway with nature. Well we found it staying at the Bear's Den Cottage! This cabin is in the middle of the woods, surrounded by nature and peacefulness. We enjoyed morning hikes each day and saw many deer, deer tracks and enjoyed the nature at its best. We discussed while hiking where do the deer bed down? Well on the first morning we found out. Right across the lake outside our cottage windows. We awoke to four deer bedded down right across from our cottage. We enjoyed seeing many deer through out the day and late evening. Enjoy the pics I will attach to prove it! We enjoyed the real wood burning fireplace. We enjoyed gathering twigs, bringing in logs and most of all the crackle and warmth of the fire. We made fires morning, afternoon and night! The cabin was of great quality and was very comfortable and clean. Brian was an easy person to deal with. He was friendly, knowledgable and pleasant on every question we had. We truely enjoyed this hidden getway from it all! The woods will be calling us back and when they do we are coming back to this great place! Thank brian!
