What Past Guests Are Saying
A brilliant time at an amazing log cabin
This was our second visit to the cabin and even though we had hyped it up so much in our minds, it more than met our expectations. The welcome pack, the cinema screen, the wondeful bed, the wood burner, the hot tub, all go to make this the most relaxing place we have ever been to. We were genuinely sad to leave, but we will certainly be back.
Absolutely fantastic property, home from home but better!
Firstly I needed to locate a property that had disabled access, then I needed to narrow it down to a property that did not feel like a hospital room. That reduced it quite quickly. Then I wanted something a bit different, a bit of a treat for my husband (and me)! In this property I found all that and more. It was so easy to book, once I had emailed Michelle with my endless questions, she sent me a link to book. Very easy process and secure. I had looked at the pictures quite frequently, checking really that it was all going to be okay for me with getting around but also nice for my husband. I just kept my fingers crossed that the Lodge was going to live up to the pictures. Well, it did and more! Quite outstanding, I don't think I have the words to describe it. Wow, amazing, beautiful! Honey Lodge is by the best property we have ever stayed in, even before my injury. We used the hot tub every evening, remember this is November! The Cinema screen is great, there were dvd's, books, a wii, a playstation, everything you could possibly want. The other properties there are all secluded with their own facilities. I challenge anyone to find a rental property as homely as this!
misbah ( support worker
Well received, Michelle and Chris were quite helpful, the lodge was nice and beautiful, one of the best I have been inn so far,
I will love to come back any time.
Totally amazing...Honey lodge is the perfect place!
I stayed here at Honey Lodge with my boyfriend for 2 nights, only we wish we had longer!
The welcome pack, bottle of bubbly and local little hamper on arrival were great touches and very much appreciated. The lodge is absolutely spotless, it has just about everything any human being could need and more... Pictures just do not do this place justice, it is built, decorated and looked after to perfection!
The view when you wake up is breathtaking! Even though we didn't have the best weather, it didn't affect our stay at all as the location and lodge is beautiful come rain, wind or shine..especially the hot tub!
I had the pleasure of meeting Michelle, the owner upon departure..really friendly and made us feel very welcome.
Would highly recommend Honey Lodge and we will most definitely be returning for another stay...
A relaxing weekend break with all the comforts from home plus mo
The accommodation is well situated with lovely surroundings and the local pub is just a few minutes walk. It is well catered for in terms of amenities and the hot tub is an additional bonus. Well managed as our booking was easy and additional queries were responded to swiftly and positively. Thank you - a very relaxing weekend.
Amazing, luxurious & peaceful!!
Had the most lovely 4 nights away at honey lodge, had everything you could ask for fully equipped kitchen, cinema home screen, cosy log fire & amazing hot tub! Having the welcome basket & bottle of fizz was a lovely touch! Hope to go back next year!! Thank you Michelle & Chris.
Simply outstanding - log cabin chic
We had a brilliant stay at Honey Lodge at the start of Seotember. It's a stunning propert facing out to a beautiful field. The little touches make this a really special place - greeting pack, all mod cons and equipment you could ever need, not forgetting the hot tub and big screen with sky. The beds were really comfy too. And all just over a 10 minute cab ride to Whitsable. Definitely plan to return - worth every penny!
Peaceful stay in immaculate property
This was my first time staying in Honey Lodge and it will not be the last. The lodge was spacious and very well equipped and everything from the "welcome pack" to the large cinema screen and hot tub, ensured a luxury break. I took my 82 year old mother (who is partially disabled) and my two miniature dachshunds, and we all had a fabulous time at Honey Lodge. I can imagine it is beautiful in the winter too with the log fire on, overlooking the fields.
A little taste of heaven
This was our 4th year staying at Honey Lodge. We love it so much, it has become like a second home for us, and for the last 2 years we have been staying there for a fortnight at a time as a week is never long enough in this little spiritual haven! This year we found that 2 weeks wasn't long enough and was gutted to leave. The service as always is excellent. The log cabin is always well equipped with everything you could possibly need. The location is fantastic for those who adore being surrounded by nature and seek peace and tranquility (with a hot tub and 100" cinema screen thrown in for good measure!)Whitstable, Tankerton and Canterbury are only a short drive away. The owners - Chris and Michelle - are lovely and very warm, friendly and welcoming. We love absolutely everything about Honey Lodge... there is nothing not to like. We very much look forward to our stay at Honey Lodge next summer!
Love it love it. going back for a 3rd time at michelle and chris place next year. thank you to both of them heaven
Another amazing stay
This was our second stay with Michelle and chris, and yet again everything was perfect. We have already recommended to friends and family and will soon be planning our next visit
Sue, Louise, Spencer & family
We had the most wonderful stay at Honey Lodge, being our second time at the lodge proved to be even better than the first! Relaxing on the decking, or sitting in the hot tub with absolute privacy really made our holiday. The lodge is very spacious, seeing as there were 8 of us there is plenty of room. Chris & Michelle had kindly left us a lovely chilled bottle of bubbly, plus a luxury hamper, and not forgetting milk in the fridge all of which were greatly appreciated.
Even though we had the amazing cinema screen, Chris & Michelle have had installed Tv's in the bedrooms, which the children loved as they could watch their dvd's or even play on the playstation. Cannot wait to return next
This was our second stay at Honey Lodge, it was like arriving at our own luxury second home. The lodge was clean and welcoming, the lovely welcome hamper and flowers in the room make you feel even more valued. The Lodge works for us as John is in a wheelchair, whilst everything is accessible for him, nothing is obvious in its appearance of being disabled friendly, which is a clever thing to achieve.
The location and setting of the lodge make it fantastically private and the position makes it a sun bathers paradise from sunrise to sunset.
The best thing about its location means you can be at the coast, countryside or city within 5 - 15 minutes.
We will definitely be booking a third visit there and envisage making an annual visit for years to come.
At the end of our stay I had the feeling that I didn't want to leave and if Chris had said they had had a cancellation I would have stayed for the weekend.
Fantastic luxurious lodge!!!
The lodge was the best we have ever stayed in, all the added luxuries were an excellent touch, the cinema screen with sky movies was a huge hit with the kids as well as the games consoles. The outside hot tub was fab although it was so hot outside we didn't really make use of it as much as we normally would have, kids loved the trampoline and zip wire they didn't want to go anywhere.
The kitchen was the best equipped I've ever seen every thing you could possibly need.
Washing machine was a bonus as washed all the dirty clothes before we returned home. Beds were extremely comfortable.
Overall the lodge was faultless and the little extras were a lovely touch.
An overall wow Factor, this place has the X factor!!!
Me and my partner absolutely loved Honey Lodge we came away for a birthday treat for 3 nights and was an amazing experience. I shall defently be taking back the children to enjoy just what they have for the kids, trampoline, zip wire, bean bag swing chair, tree house, some puzzles and games indoors, playstation etc it was beautiful and so peaceful, we even arrived to a bottle of champage and a welcome basket with jam crisps, juice etc which was a very lovely touch. The hot tub was out of this world with the gas bbq also on hand.

Wonderful relaxing retreat
We stayed for two days in this beautiful lodge. Spotlessly clean and exactly as described. It does have everything you need for a relaxing break. The hot tub was perfect - completely peaceful surroundings to relax and unwind. The kitchen literally has everything you will need to fully cater for all meals, it is certainly the most well stocked kitchen I have seen in a holiday let. The welcome pack was lovely. Sitting in the hot tub drinking prosecco before venturing inside at night to light the log burner and watch the big screen certainly made for a very memorable first break with my other half. We really didn't want to leave this beautiful place!
We didn't explore the area too much as wanted to spend as much time in the lodge as possible - we did venture into whitstable which is only a very short drive away. Can see the local pub from the back garden - next time we come we will venture over for a drink or two! Can't wait to come back.. Both Chris and Michelle were very helpful when we needed assistance.

Truly amazing place!
Honey lodge was the perfect place to celebrate my 40th, the lodge is perfect in every way- stylish, comfortable, homely exceeded all expectations. Special touches like the welcome pack and birthday card and cake was a very nice surprise. My husband and I look forward to returning. Oh and the hot tub! Special thanks to Michelle & Chris xx
Fantastic relaxing break with superb facilities
We could not fault the lodge itself nor the service provided by the owners!! Real luxury for a very reasonable price. Ideal location for us with coast within easy reach & Canterbury on the doorstep. Loved the hot tub especially!!
Amazing few day away for our honeymoon
Stunning log cabin, a special welcome hamper. We loved the hot tub, such a comfy bed and great sofa and big screen for DVD watching.
We truly had the most special few day away in the piece and quite.
Brilliant Weekend away.
What a brilliant weekend me and my friends had at Honey Lodge, this is the second time we have visited.
Hot tub in the garden is amazing - Projector and sky is brilliant in the living room. The cottage is very cosy,Clean and comfortable.
Any one who decides to stay here will not be disappointed!!!
Would like to Thank Michelle and Chris for the weekend, they are always on the end of the phone and happy to help!!
We will love to visit Honey Lodge again :)

The most beautiful Lodge we have ever experienced.
Honey Lodge is amazing! Clean, comfortable, fully equipped, quiet location, with spacious accommodation , large gardens, with a hot tub to die for! Private and secure. We stayed mid week Monday to Friday and was excellent value. Michelle and Chris are very helpful. Any one who decides to stay here will not be disappointed in any way. We can't wait to return soon . The added bonus we had was fantastic weather 22* all week. Perfect. Also close to good roads for sight seeing, we visited Herne Bay, Margate,Whitstable,Coventry and Maidstone all within easy reach . Most recommended .

Relaxing and Fun Easter Break
We had a wonderful stay at Honey Lodge. The weather was bleak but the lodge was warm and cosy. The lodge is extremely well equipped and is very luxurious from the range style cooker to the bubbling hot tub. The welcome pack was an added treat and it's little touches like this that made our stay extra special. Our children especially enjoyed playing in the treehouse and zooming down the zip wire and the dog enjoyed his walks in the nearby Blean Woods.
The lodge is in a fantastic location and there is plenty to do. We enjoyed a visit to Whitstable and a ride on the Romney, Hythe and Dymchurch railway. There was so much to entertain us in the lodge too.
We will definitely recommend this holiday home to our friends.
We cannot fault this lodge at all. A luxurious and relaxing place to stay.
Excellent lodge, fab Location, beautiful surroundings
This place did not disappoint. A lovely hamper of local delights, a birthday card and cake, banners and balloons and a bottle of fizz in the fridge and we had only been there 5minutes.
A little of bit heaven. You feel like you are miles from anywhere with the secluded garden and hot tub.. Totally peaceful and beautiful. Yet you are minutes from the lovelyBlean woodlands (where there is a man with a coffee machine car for you to get a hot chocolate or latte from). Short 10 min drive to Canterbury for a lovely stroll around the town and cathedral, even nearer is Whitstable for another meander or even nearer Herne Bay which we noticed you can cycle from there to Reculver towers.. Then a 20 minute drive and we were in Dover at the castle..
Perfect location for a lovely break and then you come back to a log cabin with a hot tub and glass of fizz (every night). Tub warms you to the bone and you sleep like a baby..
There was so much to do and see in Kent but atthe same time we wanted to spend lots of time in the lodge as it was so relaxing.. Definitely need to return...
If you are looking to get completely away from it all this is the place for you. I took my sister as a surprise 40th birthday present along with my Mum & Dad, both over 70 & 4 kids - there is something for everyone...
I usually dislike the beds whenever I go on holiday but these beds were clean and fresh and sooo snugly you just wanted to stay in them...
We were welcomed with flowers and a complementary box of goodies from local suppliers, some milk and other goodies and Chris popped in to see that we settled in OK.
There is everything you need - there were even a few groceries left for convenience - oil, salt & pepper, all the little bits that you may have forgotten to pack.
The lodge itself is so enchanting with tactile beams and a beautifully made bespoke kitchen, everything just fits.
With a play station and Wii + plenty of Dvd's and games to play, not to mention the hot tub which even in the rain was great (two large umbrella's are available to put up over the tub). You will wish you had longer to enjoy the lodge.
We had a fantastic time and I am a travel snob - if a lodge can be luxury this one is...
A wonderfully relaxing break with excellent facilities. It has been designed to fantastically well. Cannot fault anything about the place (except the turning into the entrance which is tight). It really is a fabulous romantic hideaway, and we look forward very much to returning!
Amazing there are no other words to describe the lodge !!!
We arrived to the lodge and it was rainning and cold ! We open the door to the lodge it was warm. There was the most amazing welcome pack which was all locally produced. Perfect touch. The log fire was perfect . The hot tub just topped it off and bed was so comfy . Thanks to Michelle and Chris for the great stay .
Ed n Jayne
A fantastic break
We've just returned from a 7 day break at Honey Lodge, it's a lovely very quiet and secluded lodge. Close enough to a pub and a little local shop but with the feeling of being totally on your own! The lodge is beautifully built to a very high standard with everything you could possibly want and need in such a place including a log burner and a large hot tub right outside on the decking. We will definitely go back, next time with the kids.
Response from Michelle Whalley - 02/04/2013

Glad you enjoyed your break with us. Look forward to meeting the children

We very much enjoyed our stay. The lodge was exceptionally clean and tidy with a very cosy homely feel. Very warm inside, particularly under foot in the bathroom where the heated under flooring is at its best. The little touches make a real difference and have left us looking forward to booking our next stay. Hot tub was lovely and on the one occasion we needed support, we were help extremely quickly and professionally. A wonderful retreat.

A lovey homely getaway!
Our stay at honey lodge was very relaxing,The minuet you walk in it has the wow factor very well built.
The champagne Flowers and welcome pack was a lovey touch,we really enjoyed the hot tub and kids enjoyed the tree house although a bit disappointed the zip wire wasn't working!,
We spent new year hear and it was Definatly one to remember,We will Definatly be returning and recommending to all our friends a top place to stay.
Incredible - even in the depths of winter!
As soon as you walk into Honey Lodge it just blows you away. We stayed a couple of weeks before Christmas to explore Whitstable and Canterbury but found it quite hard to leave the lodge at all!
It's immaculately clean, beautifully decorated and utterly relaxing.
Highlights from the lodge and our holiday include:
- The welcome basket (especially the tiger bread and prosecco)
- The huge Christmas tree and family of Christmas reindeer :)
- The heated bathroom floor
- The hot tub (especially nice on cold nights)
- The food at the Royal Oak pub (absolutely amazing)
- The kitchen - wonderfully quirky
- The wood burner
It's also worth mentioning that we don't drive but found it very easy to get to both Whitstable and Canterbury on the regular buses from right next to the lodge.
The only negative was having to leave at 10am - a bit later would've been nicer!
Close to perfect in so many ways - thank you
From the initial planning to this review Chris and Michelle deserve the highest praise for efficiency and customer service. This is a team of 2 halves each with their own areas of expertise who together make their guests feel very special . While we stayed in the lodge we did get. Peek in the newly finished treehouse , maybe next time guys.
The lodge was large and spacious and even though it sleeps 8 and we had it all to ourselves it and the landscaped gardens would easily have coped with a big family . We loved the quirky use of wood extras Chris had lovingly added to the lodge while even the drapes and bedding were such high quality that we thought it was still night the following morning at 9 am. The tech was brill the broadband a treat and we didn't realise till day 3 that the sky had movies and sports Chanels also .
The jaccuzi was clean simple to operate and very hot although we did get buzzed at 10:15 on 2 nights by chinook helicopters that were less than 200 feet up ,so much so that the whole cabin vibrated violently .
I wouldn't class that as a negative it was a bit of a buzz really .
Anyway the food pack provided to get us started was a nice touch and the kitchen had everything you needed and I mean everything .
I loved the log splitter contraption , we will return here with the kids prob next year and can't wait for Chris' s next project as we are sure it will be as unique as the current properties. This is an ideal retreat for course or families in luxury
and we wish Chris and Michelle every success for the future . I'm of to do my lottery and if I win I know who will be building our house for us.
Thanks Liese and Paul
Ps loved the beetle in the stone worktop very quirky maybe in keeping. Honey bees in resin around the lodge or garden might be great for the kids to find
We had a very pleasant stay in Honey Lodge. Everything was great. I would recommend it to everyone.
Richard & Sue
Well worth a visit
This cabin is excellent. On arrival there was a small selection of essentials to get us started as well as a bottle of bubbly waiting in the fridge. The cabin reflects the hard work and detail put in during the build. The fixtures, fittings and furniture are all fitting for this high quality accomodation. The hot tub and wet room shower add to the experience. Booking was straight forward and communication from the owners was good. The only drawback is that the parking area exits onto a reasonably busy road with restricted visibility.
We had the chance to look around the tree house and this seems to be to the same high standard as Honey Lodge, offering a truly unique hideaway for a few days r&r;.
Char and Chris
Our second stay and def not our last!!!
Yet again, Honey Lodge was amazing!!! We took my parents along this time! I just want to show this place off!
We love everything about this holiday! and always feel totally relaxed!!
The area is perfect, easy to get into Canterbury Town Centern for fab shopping, lots of great places to walk the Dog,and sight see! and even in the bad weather Honey Lodge is the perfect place for a duvet day!!! esp with the projector!!
Honey Lodge is spotlessly clean. The Hot tub is amazing!!Many nights out there star gazing!!!
The Garden is well kept, And Michelle and Chris are wonderful! We will be coming every year!! I always hate leaving!
I have nothing bad to say about Honey Lodge!!
Fantastic Holiday in an Ideal Location
We were immediately impressed with holiday let, when we first walked in and there waiting for us was a care package containing milk, tea, coffee and biscuits (The champagne was a nice touch). After we unpacked we read the really useful book they had produced explaining what is available to do in the local area. The accommodation was very clean and well maintained. We had a fantastic time and are now considering going back next year for another peaceful week. I would give this holiday full marks and I am recommending to friends and family.
A fantastic weekend !!!
Great location, excellent lodge.
Would recommend whole-heartedly to anyone.
Honey Lodge Blean
The lodge was immaculate and very well catered for. The setting was pretty and the owners couldn't have been more helpful. Left feeling totally relaxed and chilled out. Will definitely recommend to friends and return for another break.

A bit of heaven
We had high hopes for the lodge and we were not disappointed!! It was
Just as lovely as I imagined. The hot tub and huge tv screen were brill. All the mod cons you could want.
We were hoping for and very lucky to have lovely weather. But we soon realized this would be the perfect place in both cold and hot weather. We will definitely be going back but in winter so we get the chance to use the log burner.
Really lovely place and would definitely recommend to anyone.
luxurious, relaxing holiday...
We have just returned from a 4 night stay at Honey Lodge. We really loved it.It is well located for Canterbury and Whitstable...also broadstairs is close which is a lovely seaside town...Lots of lovely clean beaches. Canterbury is great for shopping and Whitstable had independent shops which were a bit quirky. A very enchanting place.
The lodge itself is big and luxurious...the pictures on the website really don't do it justice. It is a lovely big open plan kitchen, dining room and lounge with a big, cinema type screen for watching Dvds...and playing the Wii which my husband loved!A lovely big sofa which is very comfortable. Big glass doors looking out onto decking with a sensational hot tub...( Very relaxing ). The garden and lodge is not overlooked and is very private.
The bathroom is big and has a lovely shower...The double bedroom is a good size and the bed is large and comfortable.
The large sloping ceilings in the lodge also make it feel very spacious.
We had a lovely break here. Michelle and Chris were very obliging, friendly people.
A great location for a family holiday
Excellent facilities for families, great location. We had a relaxing few days in peaceful, homely surroundings.
Unique, a lovely lodge to stay in, relaxing
We have had the most wonderful holiday staying in Honey Lodge. Chris & Michelle certainly make sure your stay will be a memorable one, leaving us a huge basket full of goodies certainly started us of feeling welcome.
We did manage to visit some of the coast whilst in Kent, including Canterbury, but we were more than happy just to relax in the garden or in the hot tub, whilst the children played in the treehouse! The lodge was so spacious, huge rooms as well as high ceilings and absolutely lovely. Did not want to leave!
What a fabulous place to stay! Will tell all my friends about this lovely lodge. Perfect place for a holiday!
honey lodge is just heavenly !!!,it is difficult to pick out its best parts of the stay, the hot tub is just fab !, special touches such as, fresh flowers, welcome pack, robes and slippers, wet room, the huge screen !, garden, location !! its just great, we only wish we had a longer stay, we will return, and tell all our family and friend that if they dont stay at honey lodge they will miss out on a very special home from home !!! thank you michelle and chris Xxxx the dogs loved it too, blean woods and monkey common are lovely walks !! than you again, see you soon. Lovely Cosy Log Cabin
We stayed here for a two night break with our 2 boys (2 years and 6 years). The lodge was very clean and well presented and felt like a home from home with everything we needed. The welcome basket was very nice especially the bottle of sparkling wine in the fridge! We made use of the projector, wii and we all loved the hot tub especially the boys. The garden was lovely for the boys to run around in, my eldest son loved the tree house but was a bit disappointed that the zip wire was not working (hopefully this will be fixed soon). Overall we had a very enjoyable break.
Rebecca and Toby
We had a fantastic stay at the lodge! It was very romantic and set in the most ideal location, close to both whitstable and 5 minutes from Canterbury. The jacuzzi was amazing and very relaxing, and the 100 inch screen was the best to watch the England game on! We enjoyed a much needed and relaxing break and will most certainly be back!
Doreen and Dave
Amazing retreat to relax and soak up the surroundings and log ca
We were so impressed with the lodge. The welcome of milk, bread and more goodies was exceptional. Te cleanliness and the feel of natural wood made it cosy and warm. The log burner was not needed as te weather was good, but we are sure in the winter its a boon. The bedrooms were comfortable with enough drawers and hanging space for all our clothes and shoes, The decor bedclothes and curtains were very tastefully done. The Dressing gowns + slippers made it feel very luxurious. The Hot Tub was a wonderful way to relax, especially when a bottle of champagne had also been supplied, another experience. The surrounding area had a pub with garden, where they did lovely meals. The Hut in the pub carpark sold lots of fresh fruit and vegtables. They were in walking distance 5mins away, other shops for newspapers and groceries about 15mins away, so you didn't have to go far for anything. Whitstable and Canterbury not far by car. The views from the log cabin across the fields and the Druidstone Park nearby with the call of the peacocks and occasional braying or mooing, looking out to the tree house made it feel like somewhere in africa. Everyhing was so lovely you built a dream home and let us share it with you, we will certainly come again.
Hambleton, Selby, North yorkshire
Honey Lodge was a very welcome retreat from the everyday stresses of a busy life. A real oasis, so pleased to find a wheelchair accessible rental property that is packed full of luxury extras, i.e hot tub, wet room, huge screen tv. The welcome pack and little things like hankies, hand cream and body creams are what you usually find in hotels, a real thoughtful touch. Flowers in the living area, then the basics are also available, kitchen roll, loo roll, dishwasher tabs, condiments in the kitchen, a real home from home.
So well positioned to be really private, if lucky enough to have the weather we did, it's as good if not better than being abroad.
Lots of places to visit in Canterbury or at the coast. Wonderful places to eat everywhere.
Chris & Michelle are offering a fabulous service to the tourist industry, can't wait to return and will definitely be recommending this to friends and family.
The most relaxing experience we've had in a long while!
We had a lovely romantic weekend at Honey Lodge. It was just what we needed to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life. We will definitely be returning and telling our friends about this wonderful place!
Vicky & Nick
Fabulous, everything we were hoping for and more!
Honey Lodge is a perfect home away from home. It has everything you might need with the additional luxury of a hot tub, cinema screen and wet room. It is situated between Canterbury and Whitstable literally a few miles from each and it has a lovely pub very nearby which has a nice garden, pool table, dart board and juke box.
We have already recommended Honey Lodge to our friends and family!
Very relaxed with everything you could need an great food in the
A great place to stay. The local pub is very close by, serving excellent food. The lodge has everything you could need an the hot tub an cinema screen an added luxury, both of which were brilliant. It looked great an had everything you could possibly need. Even a welcome basket, which was very much appreciated. We would definitely stay again and highly recommend.
A luxury lodge, everything we was looking for and more, relaxing
Honey lodge is a truly lovely place to stay, The lodge is beautiful inside and out. An ideal place to stay all year round. A great place to stay with family, friends, the kids and I personally would love to have a romantice weekend there too!
My 6 and 8 year old sons loved the tree house, zip wire and trampoline and spent most of time outside having fun. The tree house and trampoline positioned well in the garden where I could keep a careful eye on them.
Relaxing in the hot tub with a few glasses of champagne made a lovely end to the evening. While still being able too keep an eye on kids watching big screen tv munching on popcorn which was in our welcome pack. Michelle thought of everything to make our stay the best at honey lodge. We will defently go back.
A little gem!
The lodge is absolutely beautiful in a stunning setting looking out onto farmland! It has everything you need and more. The interior is spaciously designed and has high quality comfy furniture. The hot tub is loads of fun, big and sparkly! The lodge is located in between Canterbury and Whitstable if you wanted to go into town about 5 mins drive either way. A fantastic place to relax and recharge!
Amazing peacefull location .
Wonderful lodge with excellent facilities . Everything has been thought of a perfect relaxing break.
Holdoways and Pays
We filled the lodge with 4 adults & 4 teenagers and still had room to move. Its just like being in a hotel, the attention for detail is superb, Its a real home from home type lodge with every thing you could need, from the welcome basket upon arrival to the little extras in the tioletries that are ther for us all to use, we even had towels left for us!! It was amazing and we cant wait to go back, The kids used the hot tub in the day and it was adults in the eveing regardless to the weather we was in it!! Fantastic loved it please try it for yourselves. Well done and a huge thanks to chris and michelle xx

Honey Lodge - ticks all boxes
We chose Honey Lodge for a romantic weekend away on the strength of other reviews, having decided on the Whitstable area because of it's reputation for fantastic restaurants. Honey Lodge was perfect in every way. Location wise it is secluded and quiet but with a good pub about 100 metres away, was easy to find and only a £7 taxi ride into Whitstable. The facilities provided are first class, we loved the hot tub, cinema screen tv, log fire and rainforest shower as well as being impressed with the fully equipped kitchen. The overall service from Michelle and Chris was excellent and we really appreciated the welcome pack which contained essential sundries like milk and bread as well as a lovely bottle of bubbly. We had a fabulous time and left feeling totally relaxed and planning our next visit.
recommend to everyone!
The Lodge was decorated to a very high standard, much to our liking! Directions given by Michelle prior to our trip made the lodge super easy to find, the location of the lodge was spot on, and we loved been so close to the wildlife park, the woods and the towns!
The lodge has everything you could possibly want/need with added extra special touches from Michelle and Chris, The superb garden with amazing views had an brilliant and very large hot tub, and was the perfect setting for our English holiday! we will definitely be returning!
We appreciated greatly that our dog was welcome, as we only like to holiday in uk if he can accompany us! places like this are very hard to find!
I have nothing negative to say about our fantastic holiday at the Honey Lodge!
Perfect! Couldn't fault it!
Honey Lodge is beautifully appointed and well equipped. Before taking time out of my career to become a Mum I worked for the biggest tour operator for over 10 years selecting accommodation for holidays. Therefore I have seen thousands of hotels, villas and holiday homes and I cannot fault this one. Michelle and Chris clearly understand their target market and cater expertly for families and couples looking for a relaxing break with luxury touches.
Our two and a half year old was over the moon with the treehouse and it was very difficult to extract him from it. There is also a trampoline and a lovely hot tub.
Chris was very welcoming and helpful when we needed assistance. Michelle responded to queries during the booking process very efficiently and helped with restaurant suggestions etc...
In a nutshell we simply loved it and can't wait to return. It will be a perfect holiday for us next year when our next child arrives.
There is so much to see and do in the surrounding area and we look forward to discoverng this corner of Kent further in the future.
Thanks you very much for a wonderful stay. Your personal touches such as flowers, toiletries and the welcome basket make it even more secial. We hope you continue to build upon your successful business and charity work and that the planning permission for the fantastic looking tree house is approved very very soon.
Fantastic anniversary away
The Lodge was fantastic. It was in a good location with plenty to around, or nothing if you prefer like we did. We really enjoyed spending our days relaxing in the hot tub, having a BBQ and then watching the TV in front of the log burning fire. We would definitely go back. Everything was perfect and could not find fault with the accommodation.
Amazing stay at Honey Lodge
A group of us stayed at Honey Lodge in September, we had an amazing weekend and will definitely be returning again.
The lodge was spacious, great location (10mins from Canterbury and 10mins from Whistable) and had all the right facilities to make a relaxing weekend.
The hot tub was the highlight for our group and we spent most of our evenings listening to music and chilling.
Beds where very comfortable and the sofa a great extra for more people to sleep on.
We will be highly recommending Honey Lodge
Fantastic, pure luxury, perfect for children.
What a wonderful relaxing way to spend my 40th birthday with my family. The lodge was just perfect, immaculately clean and spacious. Our 3 boys aged 11,9 and 6 had a fantastic time on the zip-wire, trampoline, treehouse and in the hot tub. They also loved the hammock and cinema screen. The personal touches by the owners make all the difference. As our youngest son said "it was wicked".
Honey Lodge has everything you need to feel on vacation
Honey Lodge has everything you need to feel on vacation
As a nature girl, Honey Lodge is the perfect place for getting away from it all. It also caters perfectly for 3 my disabled sons needs. They loved the hot tub, the new tree house and huge cinema screen. I loved everything there is to love about it... the lay-out, the cleaniness, the location and much more. It was our 2nd time at Honey Lodge, and the experience just gets better, so much so that I have booked a further 3 weeks at the log cabin next year! I would definitely recommend anyone interested to book early to avoid missing out!
Wonderful place to stay with plenty to do
Honey lodge exceeded our expectations. We had a fantastic 3 day stay with our 9 month old daughter. The hot tub and cinema screen kept us busy after she had gone to bed and the complimentary welcome pack was a great touch. We would definitely come again and have already recommended it to friends and family.
Birthday weekend away
I booked the Honey Lodge for my 25th birthday with 6 of my friends and we all loved it! The pictures online do not prepare you for how beautiful and spaceous the Lodge is. With 7 people, I was worried we would get in each others way but we had plenty of space.
We all fell in love with the hot and hammock!
Our plans to go shopping and for long walks went out of the window, this is the perfect place to sit back and relax.

Magical stay in Dream Lodge
Not enough words to describe what a fantastic place this is.Idyllic lodge set in beautiful and peaceful location, everything you could possibly need is catered for to make your stay perfect.Champagne(in the fridge when you arrive) in the hot tub at sunset is a must. One of our best holidays ever, will definately be returning. Thanks to michelle and Chris.
We have just stayed in Honey Lodge for the weekend, it was amazing! The hot tub is brilliant, we sat in it during a downpour drinking champagne... who said the british summer is terrible!!
Chris and Michelle were amazing and thanks Chris for lighting the fire and sorting the hot tub!
It really was a great time, the shower is big enough for all 8 people and the rooms are big and comfortable.
Definitely want to come again soon! Amazing!
Fabulous Lodge, Chris and michelle as always made it wonderful with finishing touches such as the welcome basket. The lodge is absolutely gorgeous and could recommend it highly enough to people to stay there, so relaxing

Luxury, too good to miss.
Honey Lodge easily accomodated two families of four with plenty of space for everybody. Once you arrive you don't want to leave. Well located for walks and beach. Th kids loved the hot tub and the tree house, a real treat. In the five nights we stayed we only went out twice we were so comfortable and relaxed. Once you get settled in, which takes all of about five minutes, Honey Lodge is a lovely place to unwide and relax.
We had a great break at the Honey Lodge. Everything was excellent! The house has all the comfort that you need and the area is lovely to explore!
Our girls also loved the tree house and ziprope (?)
We used the Hot Tub multiple times a day and although the weather was great we also used the log burner...because it is cosy...The purple couch (is that the right word?) and the big screen were wonderfull
We had a lovely time and the place were we stayed really made it special... and the welcome package is such a nice touch!
Thank you very much!
There is nothing to dislike about this break. its so lovely and tranquil, the lodge is lovely with so many added extras to suit all ages. the hot tub was lovely and a great area to explore lots of different things. I would definatley reccomend this accomodation to everyone!
The wow factor!
A fabulous lodge with great facilities and attention to detail. A lovely peaceful break and relax in the hot tub and our daughter loved the tree house, zip wire and trampoline. Good dog friendly pub just down the road and a only a quick drive to Whitstable. Hope to go back.

Absolutely great. Perfect to pamper yourself for a week.
Beware bed is so cosy might not want to get out, ok except to soak in the hotub, have a bbq, stick a film on the cinema screen (with great sounds system) light a fire in a good quality burner. Breakfast in the tree house is a must. Also the gardern and decked area is very spacious but also really private which is lovely. Also lots of little touches make it a great stay, good selection of board games, we had a lovely welcome hamper, great after a long drive, scented wax on the burner and few treats to pamper ourselves with.
Hot tub heaven
We went to Honey Lodge for our wedding anniversary at the recommendation of our daughter. It far surpassed our expectations. It was warm, welcoming and comfortable. I cooked a lovely meal on the Saturday night and there was everything I needed in the fully equipped kitchen. Chris and Michelle's attention to detail was amazing, from the bathrobes and slippers to the fresh flowers on the table. The welcome pack was a lovely touch. Both evenings were finished off drinking champagne in the hot tub under the stars. What more can I say?
The only thing missing was Sky Sports to watch the England game on the huge TV screen, which seems a shame when Sky Movies is part of the package, especially with the Olympic Games ahead.
I would recommend this place to anyone.
We booked this lodge for a surprise 30th weekend for our best friend. She didnt know anything about it, we blind folded her to the lodge. Well it was amazing. We all had a brilliant time, it was like being in another world.
We definately recommend to anyone and we would love to come back.
We said about a reunion for our 40th!!!
We had a lovely relaxing time in the lodge, the hottub, view and location were perfect. We will definately be visiting again.

Totally relaxing time away!
Honey Lodge is a beautiful place to stay, inside and outside. All the extras are provided that you would expect to find in your own home and it really feels as if you are in your own little haven away from the outside world! My husband and I picked this lodge because he has limited mobility and it worked very well from that perspective. The hot tub was a fantastic way to unwind and we enjoyed watching movies on the big screen. The only problem for us was that we were cold on the first night as we didn't know how to adjust the heating, but that was easily sorted out and the rest of the week was just perfect. Will be recommending it to all my friends!!
Honey lodge was a fantastic accomodation. We loved the hot tub, log fire, cinema screen and the whole feel of the accomodation. We went there to celebrate our anniversary and whilst we were there my partner proposed so that made the stay even more magical. Honey Lodge is a credit to Michelle & Chris.
Wow what a fantastic lodge in so many ways. Fantastic hot tub, log fire, cinema screen and overall feel. To top off my stay my partner proposed which has made the weekend magical. Would highly recommend. A credit to Michelle & Chris :-)
P & S
A superb and individual log cabin ideally situated for exploring both Whitstable and Canterbury. The large screen is great for watching films and the hot tub great for winding down after a hard days sightseing. Will definately be back.
Fabulous relaxing week in a great lodge
Booked late because needed a little time to ourselves and had done the lodge with a hot tub bit previously so knew what to expect. However, this lodge exceeded our expectations from the privacy of the tub to the brilliant cinema screen and sound system and topped off by being able to get the internet.

Magical - The perfect get away
We stayed in Honey Lodge at the end of November 2010, and absolutely fell in love with the place. Its in the perfect location, you arent too far from anything yet you get the feeling that you in the middle of nowhere. Sitting in the hot tub in the middle of night looking at the stars was amazing, and despite the weather you dont get cold! We had fresh flowers, champage, malteasers and much more when we arrived. The Log burner was great, as was the cinema screen, and the open plan lounge/kitchen dinig area gave it a very relaxing homely yet romantic feel. The bedrooms were beautifully decorated, and very comfortable, and we did not want to leave. We will most definitly be returning at our earliest avaliable opertunity. I would reccoment this to anybody!

Omg amazing !!!
This is one of the best places that i have stayed at. The lodge was amazing. Very clean and tidy. We wanted for nothing. The welcme pack was very nice in deed. The hot tub was perfect for seeing the new year 2011 in. I would recommend this to all and would definately stay there again.
O'Shea's family holiday
The only disappointment is that you have to go home again!!!
What a lovely time,
Log fire and a glass of wine,
Children's laughter, squeals of delight,
Eyes tight shut tired at night.
Lying back in the hot tub,
Snow falling from the sky above,
Forty degrees, bubbling lights,
Gazing in wonderment at starry nights,
We've cooked and eaten everything,
Didn't have to unpack the things we bring,
It's all here utensils galore,
Not like the places we stayed at before.
It's inspiring, enlightened us to see,
It feels so natural to live in a tree,
We have travelled far and wide,
Honey lodge is the place to stay inside.
A brilliant time we have had a ball,
But don't want to spoil it and tell you all,
So a toast to Honey Lodge, Chris and Michelle,
We hope you have a sublime stay as well.
Absolutely amazing !!!
My stay at the Honey lodge was awesome. But first, I want to thank you Michelle and Chris for your tremendous help and support. (Thanks Chris for the light fire tricks lol).
The accommodation is so comfortable and makes you feel home as soon as you step in.
Everything was ready for us to have a good time from the big screen to that beautiful full equipped kitchen.
We really enjoyed the Hot tub, especially at this period of the year, it was just great.
The location is perfect cause it places you far from everything and is only 5 minutes away from the supermarket.
The Honey Lodge is definitely the right place to rest and we promised my friend and I to come back as soon is possible.
Well done guys...
Thanks for everything
Stayed with freinds for a girly weekend away from the boys, kids etc. Once we got settled in and got the amazing projector screen to work, we had a very relaxing weekend. Everything was clean and tidy. The kitchen very well equipped!! Beds comfy as is the sofa. Hot tub great. recommed to everyone!!
Perfect for Relaxation
The Lodge is absolutely lovely, we wanted to move in. The cinema screen is brilliant, the hot tub is brilliant, the peace and quiet is brilliant. The added touches of rolls, cereal, popcorn etc added to the stay.
Would stay again and recommend to anyone.
Amazing value service comfort, everything, you will love it!
Honey \Lodge is a credit to the owners Chris &Michelle; , and in my opinion, although the photos are good, they still dont do it justice, because the reality of seeing Honey Lodge on arrival, just brings a great big smile to your face, and as you turn the key in the lock, open the big wooden door and see the interior, the vaulted cielings, the beautifull kitchen, the widescreen cinema, the smile widens and you cant wait to take a look through the beamed entrance to the luxurious wet room(complete with towling monogramed bathrobes). The two fabulous bedrooms set on each side.
Outside everything for relaxing, a sunk in Hot Tub, Barbecue etc, Everything you need and more at such amazing value. Pub restaurant 1 minute away!!
What more can i say. Go on book it now.

A Perfect Break - Relaxed and Refreshed
We stayed at Honey Lodge with our 10 month old daughter and had a thoroughly enjoyable and relaxing stay. We were looking for a quiet place where we could relax but also a location with easy access to local tourist attractions. Honey Lodge exceeded our expectations on both counts. I cannot stress how happy we were when we opened the stable door to see the lodge. Finished to such a high standard and exceptionally clean (important when you have a little munchkin who likes to crawl around on the floor). The kitchen is very well equipped and we wanted for nothing throughout our stay. The extra touches such as toiletries, robes, welcome pack and bubbly in the fridge only added to our enjoyment. That's not to mention the huge cinema screen and wonderful hot tub. Perfect when your little angel has to be in bed by seven and you are limited to staying in! Chris popped in to see us on the first night and we found him to be very personable and only too keen to offer help and ensure we had everything we needed. I should also add that on booking Michelle contacted us to say not to worry about packing a travel cot and highchair as both were provided, giving us much needed space in the car. As for places to see, we found Whitstable, Broadstairs, Sandwich and Ramsgate all enjoyable, particularly Whitstable (I've never seen so many designer Charity shops!) and also went to Wildwood which is a lovely woodland trail home to some of Britains endangered species. We were fortunate with the weather so in between dips in the hot tub had a lovely BBQ in our private garden with views across the fields and also had a great Indian take away another night. They know the lodge well so I'm sure we're not the first! We also popped to the Royal Oak pub which is a few hundred yards down the road, very friendly staff and pool table and darts board. All in all I cannot commend Michelle and Chris enough on Honey Lodge and we will most definately be returning for another relaxing and fun-filled holiday.
We arrived late to find the thoughtfully stocked welcome basket, a bunch of flowers and a congrats card, all lovely touches and very much appreciated. Chris came and saw us at our convenience the next day and we saw him a few times throughout the week and found him extremely friendly and very helpful, quickly resolving any issues, tho these were just minor things like how to turn the heating on. We also couldn't find the plates as they were in the oven, in the plate holder, but maybe things like this could be in the guest info pack?!? Just to save guests having to call you guys!?! We found the information provided there about the local area very useful tho didn't go out a great deal as reluctant to leave the luxurious and relaxing environment of the lodge!!! The surroundings were perfect as was the lodge itself and we found you provided everything we needed for our stay, like a home from home,,, just wish it was home!! The hot tub was amazing and it was fantastic to relax in our own cinema on the most comfy sofa I've fallen asleep on!!! We will definately return, sharing our haven with family and friends in future tho as there is plenty of space for up to 8!!! Honey lodge gave us the perfect honeymoon location and such wonderful memories we will treasure always.
Thank you so much!!!
Stayed Monday to Friday with a few friends and 2 little dogs. We all felt at home straight away. Our stay was relaxing and comfortable and are already planning our next stay.

The Honey Lodge is a beautiful, luxurious holiday home, which we have enjoyed for 2 wonderful weeks. It is spacious and has the comfort of a hotel because of the linnen and towels which are provided. On top of that, it has a well equipped, modern kitchen and a great hot tub on the veranda for relaxation after a day of tourist outings.
We also appreciated the garden with a large trampoline for the children, as well as the view of the field behind the Lodge. A visit from a peacock, a squirl and a rabbit proved the blending into nature of this holiday destination :-)
For many, the huge tv/dvd cinema screen will probably be an asset, although we hardly used it as we don't watch alot of tv or films. However, the Hot Tub was used daily, often even twice a day or more!!
So thank you very much, Michelle and Chris, you are wonderful people.
excellent Midweek Break
We had a very relaxing four days in the Cabin, excellent touches like individual toiletries for us both plus the welcome pack was amazing. It was brilliant being able to order both Indian and chinese takeaways and have them delivered (both were delicious) the local shop is just a 10 minute walk up the road where you can buy fresh bread etc. the cabin has everything you can think of to make a perfect holiday,
we will definately be going again
excellent weekend break
Had excellent time at the Lodge and Cottage. Children and adults loved the hot tubs. Managed to keep numerous children occupied all weekend with the hot tub allowing parents to relax. Tree house good fun but steps quite steep for small children under 4 and need to keep an eye on them.
Suggestions for children's activity to be constructed in the cottage garden maybe a big slide, padded plastic, will keep them occupied for ages (Had to rescue cover to the hot tub in Lodge garden from being used like this...
Lodge is beautiful inside and much more spacious than looks in photos. Good space to socialise in. Would definitely recommeend it for family occasion.
Could not ask for more, peace and tranquility, luxury at its best ,you certainly have to experience this one to believe it ,can,t wait to go again .
