This is a home with everything suitable for a large family of five children and their visiting guests to enjoy. It is in the centre of Bled's residential district, located only yards from St Martin's Church at the foot of the spectacular cliff top Bled Castle. There is a shop across the road from the property where a huge variety of fresh food, supplies and toiletries can be purchased. The lake offers a wide variety of entertainment from the leisurely to the active; sunbathing, swimming, diving, rowing, fishing etc. The straza or piste is just across the lake from the accommodation and is open for day and night time skiing in the winter month...Read more

We stayed here for 6 days in October for a family wedding. There were 6 adults in our group and the house was more than sufficient for us all. The house is located a 5-7 minute walk from the lake itself, and from restaurants, activities etc. Just across the road is a grocery store which is very handy.
The house was modern, comfortable, clean and well equipped with all that you could possible need. In fact I think it had one of the best kitchens I have seen in a vacation rental - there was plenty of equipment. The open plan kitchen/dining was ideal for a large group.
There are laundry facilities and access to bikes if wished. There is car parking available for 1-2 cars - it's a little tight but we never had a problem getting a space.
Mirjam at reception was so pleasant and helpful and had lots of suggestions for daytrips. On our arrival we asked her for details of a hairdresser to come to the house on the morning of the wedding - sorted with one phone call!
Slovenia is simply stunning and Bled is just idyllic. There is so much to day and see.
My only gripe was that it was difficult to regulate the heating - as a result the nights were cool.
I would definitely stay in Slovenia and this house again. We really had a wonderful time in Slovenia. -

We stayed here for a week in May for family wedding and holiday. Staying was myself and my husband and our three children between the ages of 7 and 14 and my parents.
The house is situated a five minute walk from the lake itself with great access to a small food shop, bus station and restaurants just a stones throw away.
The house was modern, comfortable, clean and well equipped with all that you could possible need. We had access to laundry facilities and bikes and the girls in reception couldn't have been more helpful.
The terrace and BBQ provided us with the ability to entertain other members of the wedding party easily and peacefully.
All in all we had a great time in Slovenia and the accommodation provided a great base for us to explore and relax in the evening with the children.
Would definately recommend and would definately come again! -

Five of us (including one child) stayed in this house for a week as we explored Bled and surrounding areas. The house is comfortable and has everything one could need, especially in the kitchen. The beds are comfortable and the baths are clean. Parking is a little tight, but even with two cars they made room for us. Bled is a great place in and of itself, but it's also a great location for exploring surrounding areas. Ljubljana and the Worthersee are each only 40 minutes away. Vintgar Gorge and Lake Bohinj, both natural splendors, are within minutes. Good bicycles are available for guests and we used the gas grill liberally. Recommended!

I stayed in Traveller's Haven House in May with my parents, my 2-year old and the baby (my husband was working too hard so couldn't make the trip - he is very sad to have missed out). The house was absolutely perfect for us and made a perfect base for exploring Slovenia. The kitchen / sitting area is large and well equipped and the balcony is lovely. My 2-year old absolutely loved the fact that she had bunk beds in her room (top for playing, bottom for sleeping).
It was also very helpful to have Miriam and Carmen to ask questions. They were always there to greeet us with a smile and have lots of useful information about the area. Surprisingly, Slovenia is amazing for small children - Bled is a perfect sized town for small children to explore. My daughter loved the playgrounds (lots of them), the path around the lake with the little train, walking up to the castle, going for a boat ride on the lake, the absolutely amazing swimming pool at Hotel Golf (€10 for access to a huge pool complex with lots of slides and little pools and incredible views of Lake Bled and the Castle) and she even enjoyed the little adventures that are very accessible from Bled (the Vinkter Gorge, Lake Bohinj and the Savica Waterfall, etc).
Overall, an amazing holiday. I can't wait to go back with my husband next time! -

To sum it up... "Wow". We came across this apartment (although it's more like a house!) on trip advisor and thought it looked great, but it's even better in real life!
Six of us stayed in Travellers Haven House and we were amazed at the cleanliness, comfort and amount of space for such a reasonable price. The underfloor heating was greatly welcomed seeing as we visited when there was heavy snow!
The staff were incredibly friendly and so helpful for the duration of our stay. Nothing was too much trouble for them and they really helped in making our break stress-free.

I needed somewhere for my parents and friends to stay when we got married in Bled and by chance we found Travellers Haven, great location, fab house and the girls on hand for requests were so helpful. The house was so well equipped that we could have left so much at home. It really had everything you could think of. Would absolutely recommend this for large families!

much. The house is fabulous - such luxury in a
holiday home is not expected, the bed linen and
towels were like a 5* hotel.
So close to all and the lake is picturesque.

My husband and I got married in Bled and we needed a place for both our parents and siblings to stay. It was hard to find a house as big as this one in Bled that was so close to everything. Lots of space for everyone and we even hosted a bbq on the large patio the night after the wedding with all 35 of of our guests! The house itself has been totally refurbished and had eveything you needed there. The girls on the desk who run the hostel next door were extremely helpful and friendly and seemed to speak an impressive amount of languages between them(!)
Would recommend to anyone and certainly alot cheaper (and nicer in my opinion) then paying for hotels if you have a large group.Response from Colleen Connolly - 03/25/2010

We have been to Bled on 7 occations and stayed in various types of accomadation from hotels and pensions to guest rooms. for this trip (now with a toddler) the travelers haven gave us the freedom to go on holiday and not worry about other guests being disturbed by the odd toddler moment!
After our initial concerns about how our just 2yr old would cope with the freedom of the open plan living area and stairs (all of which he soon grasped he was not allowed on the stairs byhimself!)We were able to relax on comfortable furniture, had plenty of space for all 7 of us to have some alone time and were able to cook evening meals without the hasel of deciding which of the many resturaunts (even in quiet season) to go to.
The 2 min walk to the ski bus was also a huge bonus! Even on the days we did't take junior to the main skiar eas there was plenty of duck feeding and swimming in the Golf hotel as well as walks around the lake, all of which will put even the liviliest 2yr old down for a fantastic nights sleep! Giving us the opportunity to make use of the local supermarket wine selection!
