We enjoyed our 50th Wedding anniversary at your cabin.
We stayed at your cabin for our 50th Wedding anniversary. We wanted to do something special and we love the mountains. We also wanted to have our 2 dogs - Niki and Zoe (who are our family) - with us! It worked out great at your cabin. The porch was a great plus. We and the dogs loved it. The only negative was the sound of the traffic.
Overall it was a great experience and we thank you very much for making out anniversary a happy one!
We enjoyed this cozy cabin, which is just right for a group of 6. Here are a couple of suggestions for improvement: add another dining chair (there were only 5 chairs for the 7 of us); post directions for getting on to wifi on the fridge; and advise renters in advance about limited parking. (2 of us had to park by the dumpster down the hill - this is important if you have elderly family members staying there, as we did) All in all, the cabin was in excellent condition, and there were many thoughtful touches of comfort in the home. We would love to visit again!

Thank you very much for your comments. We are glad you enjoyed the cabin, and we love to hear that you’d love to visit again!
Regarding the request for additional seating, we are actually hoping to replace that entire dining table very soon and we will add more chairs to go with it. Our Wi-Fi instructions must have fallen of the fridge. Thanks for letting us know – we’ll get those back up there!

A Bears Den was perfect for our family vacation.
A Bears Den was perfect for our family vacation. We had 4 generations with us and had plenty of room. Really appreciated the childs booster seat and toys. The cabin and the view were wonderful. There was plenty to do for everyone and everthing was only a short drive away. If we were to vacation in this area again, we would want to stay here. Thank you for a wonderful vacation!
The views from the cabin are breathtaking!
Our stay at a Bear's Den was magnificent. The cabin was clean, comfortable and well stocked. The views from every window and balcony are breathtaking. Our girls had a great time exploring in the woods behind the cabin. It is very centrally located and we were able to travel to several tourist sites all within an hours drive. I highly recommend staying in this beautiful log cabin.
Relaxing stay with extended family in the mountains.
My husband and I recently traveled to
Blowing Rock to spend a few days with our children and grandchildren. We chose a Bear's Den primarily because of the location. We were conveniently located near the Blue Ridge Parkway and the town of Blowing Rock. The cabin is located at the top of a mountain so it is very private. The views off the deck are beautiful. The cabin is very comfortable and easily accomodated six adults and two children. Overall we had a wonderful experience there. The only negatives were that there is no a/C, which is possibly not a problem except in august, and there is only room to park two cars, although we did manage to find a spot for the third one. The owners and the rental agency were both wonderful to deal with and very helpful.
The birthday weekend
Our family stayed at the cabin the first weekend of October. We go to the area for Lees-mcrae homecoming and to celebrate my wife and Daughters' birthdays in October. We enjoyed our stay and the location was perfect to access the places we visit when we are in the area. The cabin was very nice and very comfortable for the six of us. Thank you.
wonderful cabin, but a lot of road noise
We found the cabin to be very nice - lots of kitchen tools, everything worked perfectly, the bed was very comfortable. Although it is in a small cabin community, you could hardly tell because the position of the cabins and trees hide that. The view of nearby mountains was lovely. The road noise from us 321, unfortunately, funnels up the hillside so there is a lot of it when you are sitting on the porch. If you don't mind that background noise, this is a great place to stay in. The location in Blowing Rock is excellent.

Thank you for your comments. We are glad you enjoyed your stay. We want to be sure other renters know that we have not experienced road noise in the cabin. You can expect a great time and a peaceful night's sleep! You will hear the cars on 321 which connects Blowing Rock and Boone only when you are out on the rocking chairs on the front porch. This cabin's appeal is not seclusion, but the convenience to all the activities around Blowing Rock, Boone and the Blue Ridge Parkway. Thanks again for your stay!
Bear's Den is a fabulous place to stay. The location is perfectly situated between Blowing Rock and Boone. The cabin is extremely clean and has a warm feeling to it. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and highly recommend others to rent for their vacation too.
