The story behind the name: Years ago when we first started coming to Blowing Rock we rented a cabin that was decorated with bears. It gave the cabin such a fun, warm, mountain, yet whimsical feel that when we bought our home in the mountains we knew right away exactly the decor we wanted. If you look closely at the photos and video you will see what we had hours and hours of fun collecting and creating and what you will enjoy when you stay here at our mountain home away from home. We stayed at the Bears Eye View the first weekend of March 2001, we had a great time. The cabin meet all our expectations. We had a large group of 14 and everyone was comfortable. The cabin was clean and well stocked. The area was close to everything, snow tubing, Grand Father Mountain and the cave in Linsville. We especially liked the hot tub, pool table and the grill on the deck of the cabin. I would definitely use Blue Moutain Rentals when I go to the mountains on my next vacation.

We enjoyed our stay very much. We only wish the cabin had a covered porch, so that we could sit outside in the rain, without getting wet.
