You'll have a wonderful view from this 3 bedroom, 3 bath traditional ski chalet perched on Appalachian Ski Mountain. There's plenty of room for everyone to play (inside and out). Cooley House has three levels and sleeps 7. The first floor has a tiled game room with pool table, a full bath, and a bedroom with one twin and one double. The middle level has a washer/dryer in the full bath, a fully-equipped kitchen, a dining room with a four-top table, and a living room with wood-burning fireplace, TV with cable, DVD/VCR, internet, and a deck. Upper level has two bedrooms with two queens. Both bedrooms have TVs, balcony access and share a full b...athroom. There is also a private, level entrance with a charcoal grill outside. Gravel parking for 2-3 cars. Need four-wheel drive during winter weather. Please let us know if you'd like to place an order for firewood delivery .

  The house was just right for our family, but all the twenty-some

  All the twenty some-things wished there was a hot tub. The kitchen had almost every item we wished for when we prepared our Thanksgiving meal. Everything was clean. Everything worked except we did not know how to turn on the hanging lamp at the outside end of the sofa. There was not good light to read or grade papers.

  My Cooley House Stay

  Cooley House is in a great location. The people at Jenkins Rentals have always provided great service. However, the Cooley House feels old and tired, with a bad musty smell that don't go away. This house needs a upgrade. There was animal droppings in upstairs king bedroom- in the bed. This and the smell put a damper on our stay. I would not stay in this house again.

  Thank you for taking the time to leave your comments. I could not find reference that you reported these issues during your stay or at departure. We would have been happy to have either rectified the problem or moved you to another home. The musty smell is in the basement area, it is from moisture; lower levels of homes in the mountains sometimes can have a bit of a smell during times of high humidity. A dehumidifier is in there to help combat it. We do everything in our power to provide guests with a clean property, housekeeping does a standard clean before arrivals and spring cleaning is done yearly. The property was inspected before your arrival. The properties are individually owned and decorated to the owner’s personal tastes, and this property has been updated in recent years. If you’re in the area again please give Cooley Logs another try or let us help you find a home that may be better suited to your needs.
