Carrboro, NCPeaceful time in the mountains
Left on 07/11/2012 for a stay in June 2012
We loved this tidy, clean cabin. Very well built and love the log walls. It has everything you need and is the perfect size for two couples and a couple of kids. We were going to have my mother sleep in a twin bed upstairs but after seeing the turn at the top of the stairs abandoned this plan. Only minor complaint is that the bathroom door in the back bedroom doesn't close completely, a little door sanding would handle that problem. Nice neighbors too. We were centrally located near the parkway and Blowing Rock with close access to some fun hiking spots including rough ridge on the parkway that has amazing views at the top.

Sugar Hill, GaCould have been so much better but still ok.
Left on 11/04/2011 for a stay in October 2011
The booking was easy and the customer service and check-in was exceptional. I thought that the location was very nice. Quiet and near enough to town that travel was a cinch. The pictures online do the place justice as it was a very simple and basic place to stay. The only things that could have been much improved were as follows: nasty coffee maker (mold and mildew), fowl smell from the laundry closet (we had to make a "quick fix" to avoid nauseaus odor), and the cable TV was difficult to control and use (weird remote was hard to deal with).

We arrived and were immediately checked in. After we found our way, we were pleasantly surprised by the compactness, yet relatively cozy cabin. It was fine for the three of us. The bed in the master squeaked and some of the appliances need to be updated but it was no more, no less, than what we expected and it suited our needs just fine.
My main suggestion would be wireless Internet since the cell phone service in the mountains is a bit iffy. Hopefully, there is a new charcoaler since the ash bucket disintegrated ;) otherwise, it was just fine. -

Knoxville, TNFantastic just outside Blowing Rock!
Left on 11/13/2009 for a stay in October 2009
Excellent cabin just a few miles outside Blowing Rock with nearly immediate access to the Blue Ridge Parkway near Moses Cone Manor. Jenkins Properties provided excellent service in reserving this cabin and clearly want to ensure that people have a great time in the mountains. The cabin was in perfect shape and any details were provided and very clear to follow. The location was very good and is by far the easiest access we have ever encountered on many trips to the mountains. Very close to the main roads and all roads were paved leading to the property-very important depending on your vehicle and sense of adventure! Again the home had everything one could need and with easy access to Blowing Rock, an excellent choice.

Great location the beds are very small the twin beds upstairs are very uncomfortable the mattress needs replaced. There is also mice or rats they got on the counters and ate our food and left rat droppings every where.
The bed spreads downstairs need to be thicker they were very thin and it was very cold.

Jacksonville flPerfect!
Left on 08/26/2009 for a stay in August 2009
I appreciated the other reviews so I thought it would be appropriate to give
mine. We stayed in this cabin, it was my husband and I and 3 children, plus my
parents. My 6 and 4 year old slept in the loft, my parents had the bedroom
with private bath, and my husband and I had the front bedroom with my 2
year old that slept in the pack in play. It was enough room for all of us (it's
not huge, it depends what you are use to, I would say about 1200 square feet),
the place was spotless when we arrived! It had everything we needed for
cooking full meals. It's in a quiet little neighborhood with a nice loop around
it, to run or walk. It's about a 10 minute drive to downtown blowing rock. It
was a perfect cabin with everything we needed. I thought this was a very good
deal for the price. I would for sure stay there again. -

The cabin was small, but clean and quaint. Nicely appointed and
tastefully furnished. Everybody at Jenkins Reality was helpful and
courteous. Maintenance was prompt and efficient. The only amenity
that was missing was an internet connection of some sort. -

Charleston, SCCozy cottage
Left on 11/14/2008 for a stay in September 2007
This is a beautifully decorated home with a private lot. It was located near the Blue Ridge Parkway and also not far from Blowing Rock. The kitchen was adequately stocked. The hall bathroom was a nice size however the other bathroom was a bit on the small size although certainly adequate. The loft was charming and perfect for the kids. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a quaint cottage to escape to.
