The Refuge at Tall Pines is built of huge 10-inch Engleman Spruce logs from Colorado. It has 3 great BRs in 2000 square feet of indoor living space. Various outdoor living areas include a screened-in sleeping porch, a covered porch, an open deck and a hot-tub deck. The main level features a large stone fireplace (gas log), huge custom windows, 2 bedrooms, bath, and a large country kitchen. Away from traffic and very quiet. Bring your boat or frisbees. We have our own frisbee golf course and multiple hiking trails. The lake is 2 minutes away. Plenty of parking for boats, trailers, and etc. Easy 20 minute drive to Branson. 45 Minute drive to Eureka Springs. No need to leave Tall Pines!

We were looking for a quick, last-minute getaway that we could take the dogs with, and stumbled upon Tall Pines. Granted we did not stay at The Refuge, we did stay at Woodsong Cottage, which is one of four vacation rentals at Tall Pines. The owners were very helpful when booking this, literally one day in advance! It is a pretty secluded area with all 4 vacation rentals on the property. You have enough privacy from the others, especially at the Woodsong Cottage. It was a great cottage, complete with everything! The hot tub made the nights and mornings more enjoyable, along with the fireplace that just made the ambiance that much more enjoyable! Everything was immaculate...the bedrooms, bathrooms...simply everything! And the owners have the best sense of humor, with little tips and tricks with what to do around the property and nearby Branson. The way the write was just as exciting as the cottage itself, so easy to understand, and just laugh. Highly recommend Tall Pines, as the service, the ambiance, the location and the overall aesthetic is well worth it!

We would recommend this cabin to anyone not only because it is clean & accurately described on the website but because the owners are professional & considerate of your time.
It is our tradition to have a cabin weekend every year & after dealing with a property owner last year that frankly was not honest we've decided to make visiting Tall Pines specifically part of our annual tradition as well.
It is hard to find a truly nice log cabin in this area that offers privacy. With that said I would advising booking well in advance as availability does fill up quickly but that should not come as surpise to anyone that has previously visted Tall Pines. -

As I told Margie, the owner, I am very picky. When we arrived we were just tremendously pleased not only with the cleanliness, but with the entire set up of the cabin (really a house). The decor was professional and first class; no cast off furnishings used as sometimes happens. We -for a fee- were allowed to bring our mini schnauzers who are like kids to us! The cabin was well equipped and sits by itself in a wooded area. We were so charmed by the 'outdoor' decorated Christmas trees and even more delighted with the interior Christmas decorations we felt at home. We love foosball, fireplaces, hot tub, jacuzzi and lighted candles in each of the windows in the evening. Very nice people; educated, gracious and true to their word. We would highly recommend and would love to go back!!
