All accommodations are just 1/2 mile from Blue Mountain Lake, with access to canoe & boat launch, boat livery, public Beach & public rest rooms as well as a tour boat on Blue Mt Lake. Other activities nearby, many 5 -30 minutes from our facility:

Holiday Weeks and Weekends add 10%- year round

Payment Policy: 50% down, 50% 1 week before check-in date unless you take our cash payment option where the balance will be due upon arrival in cash. Now accepting cash or personal checks upon arrival ( as of July 1st 2010), please review our CHECK PAYMENT POLICY below. All balances due and payments are 100% non-refundable 7 days prior to check-in date; 14 days prior in February, July & August.

Cancellation Policy: 50% down payment returned only if dates are rebooked. All cancellations must be made in writing by mail or email. Please call first to advise.

Property Protection - Credit card required and used as security in case of property damages.

Credit Card Policy - All major credit cards accepted. If you have any questions about billing please call (845) 236-4071 or the central booking office (845) 883-7395. There may be additional processing fees may apply in the event of a cancellation or re-booking.

Effective July 31, 2007

We are now offering a 5% discount on all reservations not paid by credit card. Personal checks are accepted 30 days prior to reservation date. Thereafter, cash, money order or bank check also accepted in lieu of credit card payment. There will be a $30 fee if any personal checks are returned and your credit card will be charged immediately in lieu of the voided check payment at the credit card rates. If you take the non-credit card payment option, all cancellations policies apply regardless as to when we actually take receipt of your check. All reservations are confirmed the moment email confirmation is sent.

Housekeeping - We provide sheets and towels in all units, basic toiletries and paper towels. If you ever need any other of these items just inform our property mangers. Generally speaking we do not enter your room unless you tell us to bring in supplies (nightly renters). For weekly renters, there is a mid week "freshen up", where the property managers will provide you with additional towels, paper supplies, soaps etc. We take great pride in keeping our rooms clean and comfortable to make you stay enjoyable.

Housekeeping service fees (effective June 1, 2011)

At Blue Mt Rest we have a very high standard for cleanliness in our rooms. For those of you who have stayed with us in the past you already know this. For our inquiring or new customers, don't take our word for it read our TESTIMONIALS Page. Because our housekeeping staff works very hard to make sure your stay is as enjoyable as it should be. For the 2011 season starting June 1st, 2011 there will be a mandatory housekeeping charge as per the schedule below.

Units 1,2,3 & 6 - $3 per night
Unit 4- $4 per night
Unit 5- $5 per night

If for any reason that you are dissatisfied with the cleanliness of the room upon arrival, please discuss with Blue Mt management; any outstanding issues will be immediately corrected. And, mgt would be willing to consider a full refund of the housekeeping service fee thereafter, if ultimately, it is not to your personal satisfaction if any corrective action is, in fact, needed.

  We booked for 3 days and 2 nights, but liked the place so much that we stayed another night and day. It's just so relaxing. We had the largest cabin of them all to accommodate two adults, four teen kids and my cat. Everything was so cozy and comfortable.
  
  Pros:
  #Good price
  #Excellent location (close to the adirondack Museum)
  #Very quiet and peaceful setting
  #Great views of Blue Mountain
  #Lots to do at the cabin- cook out, relax on deck, explore the yard and pond in the back
  #Pet friendly (we kept our cat in a large cage when we went to the aDK Museum for the day
  #The owner and his wife are very friendly and helpful. When I couldn't connect to the Internet, they let me sit in an empty cabin in a cozy chair to connect online. They are very accommodating!
  #The cabin was super clean. I've never seen such a clean place. Lots of supplies (toilet paper, soap, etc).
  #Did I say the place is so peaceful and relaxing?
  
  Cons:
  #Internet was very spotty from this cabin (this cabin was furthest from the main office). No cell phone coverage inside the cabin, but when I opened the living room window, I managed to get cell service. If you step outside, you can get cell and Internet coverage.
  #No curtain on the door in the living room; not a big problem since the cabin is so private.
  #Howling coyotes wandered through the area (I guess some would consider this part of the adirondack wilderness charm. It was kinda exciting, but be aware that there are wild animals around).
  #No grocery store in Blue Mountain Lake, NY. There's a convenience store down the road, but their prices are scandalous. Bring your own groceries!
  
  In a nutshell, Blue Mountain Rest was superb! We hope to go back next year, maybe even stay at some time during the winter season. This place has become our "second home" when we visit the central adirondack region.
  
  The owner, Lenny, said he and his wife may open some kind of food service venue in the near future. That would be a big plus since groceries are hard to get in the area. Don't expect to find any Walmart or Hannaford stores in the adirondacks.
  
  We can heartily say we recommend Blue Mountain Rest. :)

  Great Trip - Can't Wait to Come Back!!

  Stayed in the unit #5, the Homestead, with our son, parents, and our dog. Accommodation exceeded my expectation and Lenny was a wonderful host. Cabin is listed as 2 bedrooms but there is an additional room that can be used as a 3rd sleeping area that our son claimed as his own. Plenty of room for everyone. Having both the indoor & outdoor fire area was perfect and accommodated any weather. It is great having hard floors with only area rugs in the whole place! Value, location, service, cleanliness, & charm were great - will definitely be back!

  Always a great place

  I have stayed at Blue Mountain Rest several times in the winter to go snow-shoe hiking and my boyfriend goes x-country skiing. We also spent a couple of days in the summer. We have rented both the small one bedroom cabin and this last time, the larger one bedroom cabin. The rooms are comfortable and clean. It is close to great trails and the lake. Also, the trailhead for Blue Mountain is nearby. That is a great climb. I highly recommend Blue Mountain Rest. The host is great, too.

  This was our first time staying in adirondacks. This place is cool. The unit (unit 1) we stayed was just right for our family of three. The full kitchen was a big plus for us.
