Riverview Lodge is a 5 bedroom, 5.5 bathroom luxury cabin rental in Blue Ridge and is perched high on a mountain with a spectacular view of the winding waters of the Toccoa River below. Riverview Lodge is located in close proximity to Fallen Timber Lodge, Outlaw Ridge, Rolling River Cabin, and The River's Edge, other upscale North Georgia Mountain cabins offered by The mountains of Georgia, Tennessee, and North Carolina provide a beautiful backdrop as you listen to the rushing waters of the river echoing from below. Located just minutes between the towns of Blue Ridge and McCaysville, Riverview Lodge is perfectly and serenly located. The Oco...ee Whitewater Center is less than 30 minutes away, and very convenient for those interested in whitewater rafting where the 1996 Summer Olympics were held.

To take advantage of the 650 feet of Toccoa River frontage property, you can take a hike down the mountain on our private hiking/walking trail, or you will find a 200-foot staircase that will take you all the way down to the railroad tracks to watch the Blue Ridge Scenic Railway go by, or continue across the tracks to the river's edge. This beautiful property features a screened gazebo, 2 fire pits, 2 picnic tables enabling you to take a picnic and enjoy the rushing waters of the Toccoa River. The ability to fish, tube, swim, or kayak right from this property makes it so appealing and convenient for our guests. The Cherokee Indians built their rock Fish Trap in this locale and is a great spot for trout fishing.

Riverview Lodge is a luxuriously spacious lodge, comfortably sleeping up to eleven guests. Each bedroom has it's own full spacious bath. A grand living area with a massive stone gas-log fireplace along with the impressive 2-story prow of glass and beams overlooking the North Georgia mountains and Toccoa River blends comfortably into a very large and spacious gourmet kitchen and dining area. French doors lead off the dining area to a beautiful deck on which to enjoy outdoor dining along with a gas grill.

Off the greatrRoom you will find a private oasis in the king master suite. Beautiful antiques and bedding will make you feel right at home. The six-person hot tub is outside the French doors from the king suite - very convenient on those cold winter nights!

Head upstairs to a spacious loft with leather seating to watch your favorite movie or football game. Flanking the loft are two queen suites, each with their own full bath and private deck with chaise lounges for viewing the panoramic view of the Toccoa River and mountains.

As you head downstairs to the terrace level, you will find a billiards table, a ping pong table and gas-stove fireplace for your enjoyment. Flanking each side of the recreational area are two beautifully comfortable bedrooms, each with their own full bath. Off to one side, a luxurious queen suite with a spacious bath and French doors opening up to a breathtaking mountain/river views to be enjoyed on the porch swing. Discover a fifth bedroom on the other side of the entertainment area offering a king bed, fireplace, a large luxurious bathroom with a jetted tub, separate shower, beautiful stone and tile work.

  We had a very relaxing fun time. Really enjoy the view from the house and decks. Also, the area by the river is great - spent most of the day Sat at the river playing games and blubbing in the water on the rocks - ladies loved the glider in the screened in porch. Great exercise getting there and back up!
  
  All the rooms are nice, especially since they are all master suites.
  
  At night the fire pit was a fun place to chat and enjoy our libations.

  Beautiful House, but Read the Fine Print

  This home is very pretty with an impressive view and it was very clean and well kept. I was pretty satisfied at the end of our stay, only two problems--the heat downstairs did not work the first night and it was so hot upstairs we could have hatched eggs. Also, there was very poor lighting in the game area--poor enough that I am mentioning it--we moved lamps in from other parts of the house so we could see what we were doing. And directions for the TV remotes and a hint as to how to turn on the shower would have been nice. Other than that, the check in was easy, directions are very clear, the home is spacious and clean and pretty.
  
  When I say "read the fine print" I am referring to the charge for "extra guests". This home is advertised as "sleeps 10". We had nine people in our party, but we were charged an extra 250.00 because "extra guests" are any numbering more than four. Why would a party of four rent a house that sleeps 10? It would never have occured to me that having one guest less that the home's capacity would mean we would incur an "extra guest" charge. Also in the fine print is the cleaning charge of 250.00. Even when you stay at the best hotels, the cleaning charge is rolled into the rental fee and not tacked on as an extra charge.
  The stay was very enjoyable, but I would encourage the person(s) in charge of the rate schedule to rethink the way the rates are served up. If you want to charge 600.00 a night, charge 600.00. Don't charge 350.00 and then get the rest with silly fees.

  We are happy this guest was satisfied with their stay. Riverview Lodge is a beautiful cabin with impressive views of the mountains and the Toccoa River below. We do wish that we could have heard from this guest in regards to the heat as we would have explained that with 3-story mountain homes, it is important to turn the fan on and leave it on with the main furnace unit so it will circulate the air on all three floors. This home does have a gas log fireplace that is 97% heat efficient on the main level and when you leave it on, it will heat the house, especially the main & upper levels. To address the additional guests charge, you will clearly see that we book our homes based on 4 guests included as the base price. This is the main reason our homes stay well-maintained, and are as nice as they are, and we like to make them affordable to a family of 4 vs. having to get the smaller cabins. We think our homes are very reasonably priced and quite the value. In addition, for this guest to complain about additional fees is unfounded. They made the reservation in November 2011 for 9 guests . At the time they booked this luxurious cabin, all of our pricing was included both on our website and more specifically as a line by line break down in the quote and their invoices. Knowing that they did not have to book with us, they instead complained after the fact and this is unfair to a company who strives to provide exceptional rental properties.

  Couldn't ask for a better cabins for 5 couples on a Marriage Retreat. Beautiful view. Everythig we needed provided. Our major complaint was the walk to to river - extremely difficult - be forewarned. Lighting could be better overall in the cabin - bathrooms & game room especially.

  We are so pleased that this guest enjoyed their stay with Cabin Rentals of Georgia. We did want to say that there are steps and a hiking path to the river and the cabin sits on the top of a ridge and is considered a short hike down to the Toccoa River. The Rivers Edge is easier to get to the river from as it is right by the Toccoa. We do hope that this guest will come and stay with us again as they were wonderful to have.

  Me and my partner and a group of friends stayed at the River View lodge and it was the most beautiful place we have ever stayed in. we had a problem with the grill and they were their first thing in the morning to take care of our needs. (free of charge) It was everything they said it was going to be. The view was outstanding. They have the top of the line applicances and very beautful furniture. It was our huge peace of heaven. One of the people that we went with is a Deacon for Unity Fellowship Curch and she was going thru her reflective moment and she is still raving about our stay. My partner said it was the Best Birthday she has ever had. They was so helpful they made sure the flowers and Birthday cake was there waiting on me. It was a wonderful experience. I never stayed in a more beautiful cabin. I have never stayed at the same cabin twice but I think this one will keep me coming back more and more. Thank you Gary for a wonderful experience. you are making dreams come true.

  Great house built with many guests in mind. My only complaint: we could not get "Rick" to answer our calls. We could not get the fireplace to work (should have been as simple as a flip of a switch). On placards throughout the house, we were instructed to contact "Rick" but Rick did not respond.
