A group of us rented Bearly Inn for New Years and it was everything and more in what we were looking for in a cabin. We scouted out many rental companies and locations in the Blue Ridge Mountains and this area seemed to afford us the best bang for our buck. Of course we were a little skeptical in the price and the gorgeous photos... but every one of us could not believe how nicely appointed the place was and pet friendly too! The open kitchen/ dining/ living room is great for a larger group that wants to feel connected. We went in the hot tub at least twice a day. very clean. the game room was a favorite spot for us as well. as to the neighbors... when I found out it was gated i thought for sure we would be in a developement with houses on top of eachother and it would take away from the cabin feel- not the case. one person in our group said if you told me this house was on 15 acres i wouldve believed it. very quiet. nice roads to take long walks on or lots of woods around to get lost in. The rental company was great to work with and above all the value is incredible. My only point of criticism is if you like to cook, which we did, bring your own chef knife because the knives could barely cut through butter. To be expected at a rental where people likely stick them in the dishwasher. I was also skeptical to recommend the place because we plan to go back and dont want everyone booking it! Enjoy!
