Outstanding home! We have a family reunion every year and this house was by far the best. Plenty of room for everyone. So many dining options for a large group and the kitchen is to die for! There is nothing we went without. I'd recommend this house for anyone, it has so much to offer. The only drawback would be so many stairs, not good for older people and very small children. Bodega Bay is a very special place and this home made it that much better!

Great weekend there in Bodega Bay. The house was beautiful and was able to hold my family of ten very very comfortable. The layout was perfect with four rooms downstairs, one upstairs and a long dining room table for all of to share our meals together. Loved drinking my coffee every morning watching the sunrise off the back of the home - great view of the bay. We are looking forward to renting this home out again next year.

I celebrated my birthday at Stella Maris with 9 of my sister-friends and we all loved the home. The home was modern, very clean and the kitchen contained everything that you can imagine needed for cooking. If there was a way for me to pack up the kitchen I would have brought it home with me. The home is in a perfect location, we were able to walk to the beach daily and we were less than 10 minutes away from the Bodega Bay Fisherman's festival which we attended.

As always we had another fabulous time in this beautiful home as it fits all of our needs perfectly. From the number of bedrooms, the number of bathrooms, the well stocked kitchen, and the favbulous dining table that can sit all 10 of us together at each meal. The wide-screen TV in the living room and the den with fireplace is also a plus!!! Won't stay in any other house for a large group...this one has it all!!! Thanks to the owners!!!

We should have known about the stairs from the review of the house prior to renting; however, three of the 8 people had knee problems and it was most difficult for them to navigate the stairs. We're all in our 70s and 80s, so I would not recommend this house for anyone with disabilities or older travelers. Also, in the bathrooms, most of us complained about the lack of "grab" bars in the showers. The floor tiles were slippery and had nothing to hold onto. Even having a rubber mat would be helpful. The room that has the jacuzzi tub needs a chair. No place to sit down except the toilet!!! The house was very nice but we had lots of trouble with the dishwasher - it really needs to be replaced. Anything on the top shelf came out cloudy. The toaster needs replacing as it only toasts one side of the bread. A cabinet in the kitchen should be cleaned out to make room for groceries.

Stella Maris is the most beautiful and well-appointed home in the Bodega Harbor complex. We have stayed there twice and intend to do so again next year. It is decorated well, has a fully stocked kitchen and the views are superb.

arrived & the cleaning person of this lg 5 Bdrm HM was still working. She remained 45 min longer. Very gracious, admitted us, & resumed her work, was not a problem at all. Merely that she wasn't able to complete the cleaning between chk in & chk out. More time or personnel needed.
We had 3 nights there, & as a gourmet grp of 6, by design each of our nights was gastronomically scripted ahead of time. The kitchen & accessories (i.e. equip & cooking utensils) were exemplary. Seldom have seen such depth of choices of kitchenware, in even the most exclusive of rental homes, in this, or other countries.
1st night couple was to barbecue the entree of the gourmet meal that they were serving us all. Unfortunately the barbecue was filthy, & the propane tank was empty. That was unacceptable. In addition to the BBQ, the water in this home was exceptionally hard due to no salt in the water softener container. For some of us, this later caused a wicked skin rash.
Upon arrival I drove into the garage where I noticed the water conditioning equipment & water heater (Munchkin). Before seeing any of the home beyond the garage, I thought it was very likely I would see a similar level of quality throughout. I was correct as the construction and finish of the home proved to be similar, even in the choice of the fixtures (Kohler).
This was the first night & that was when I called that first phone number expecting to hear back from someone right away with a replacement tank of propane so that the barbecuing of that nights dinner, could proceed, even in a late, but at least
somewhat timely manner. That didn't happen.
Bottom line, there wasn't any propane available until later the next day, and I heard about that from my guests as well as the condition of the dishes and the flatware (the flatware was smudged, all of it in the drawers & that which came out of the
dishwasher, & the glassware the same, but with lipstick marks on the glasses. -

I have stayed in many houses in Bodega Bay, and this is the second time I have stayed in Stella Maris. This house is just perfection. The view is awesome- you feel like the ocean is on your doorstep. The interior of the house is beautifully decorated and comfortably furnished. The kitchen bar is large and allows everyone to hang out together while cooking is going on. The kitchen is very well equipped with every type of cooking item imaginable. There are two separate living areas and two separate dining areas so there's plenty of space for large groups. The bedrooms are all very nice. The beds are comfortable and the bedding us very high quality. There is one bedroom on the main floor and the other four are downstair. The hot tub is also downstairs, tucked under an overhang- very private. I used the gas grill which was very clean and worked great. I can't say enough wonderful things about this house. It is definitely the nicest rental house in Bodega Bay!

Stella Maris is a beautiful home. The open layout made it easy for everyone relax and enjoy their stay. The gourmet kitchen was must for our group of friends since we are foodies. I have already looked into booking the Stella Maris in a few short months.

This was our first time staying in "Stella Maris" and we all thoroughly enjoyed all the "luxuries" this home had to offer. From the spectacular ocean view; the large kitchen with everything included; the home theatre with surround sound; and the comfortable, cozy beds. We truly loved this house so much that we have already booked it again for our annual "girl's getaway" in 2012!! Thanks to the owners for sharing their beautiful home with us!!!

I could go on and on with how great the house is, how great the location is, and what a great 40th Birthday it was for my wife, but my fingers would get tired. The folks at BB&Bvhr; were very easy to work with and this house offers great amenities and great views. Highly recommended! Just don't interfere with our next reservation window!

This was our second time to stay at Stella Maris. It was as enjoyable the second time around. The house is beautifully decorated and equiped with more than the necessities. We appreciated the follow-up call from the staff. All the stairs can be a challenge for the more "mature" guests however, having the master bedroom located upstairs where the cooking/dining and socializing goes on makes it much easier. Looking forward to our third stay in 2012!

The house was wonderful and met the needs of the 5 couples very well. It was clean and well equipped. Propane for the BBQ was provided right away. The only deficiencies were the lack of any lighting in the garage and the musty, gasey smell in the garage, entry and lower lobby. Everyone agreed that it was the best house we have stayed at in Bodega.

Bodega Bay & Beyond Vacation rentals assisted us with everything we needed for a wonderful weekend with friends! The home, Stella Maris, was just perfect for our group of 10. The welcome package was much appreciated, great wine and info! Our only gripe was that we had extra guests in the kitchen...a couple of mice were quite present, which just had us placing our food items "away". My main request would be to have specific "garbage receptacles" for recycling versus garbage versus composting...not available? We tried to be "green" but it was tough! Either way, the location was great for hanging out and walking on the beach! We also enjoyed a great horseback ride at the Chanslor Ranch, just north of Bodega at Salmon Creek. Needless to say, "we'll be back"!

This place looked very good online and as it turned out looked the same in person. The place was clean, modern and large enough for the whole family to vacation together. Only two things were really wrong with the rental. First there was too much religous imagery as decoration. Second the house is not on the beach, however it is about the closest to the beach of any house in Bodega Bay as none are actually on Doran Beach.

We had a great time at Stella Maris! We all LOVED the house, it was perfect for our family, there was No complaints. It was beautiful,spacious,very clean, and the view was awesome! It was very nice to get a call from the front desk to ask us how our stay was going and if we needed anything, we let them know that a part of the back porch's wire was loose and right away they had a maintenance guy come out, he was there within 15 min.The wire was fixed very quickly and the gentleman was very friendly.Over all it was GREAT customer service.
My Family and I have been coming to Bodega Bay and staying in the homes at the Harbor Golf Course Community for over 20 years, and this house is the best one we have ever stayed in by far!! We all look forward to coming back,and have already booked the house again for next year. -

Our family has met at Stella Maris for the last few years, and, as always, it proves to be the best place for a group of couples to spend quality time together. The home is spacious, the views spectacular, and there are many things to do nearby throughout the year.

We loved the house...the views were beautiful and I loved the kitchen. The only problem we experienced was the upstairs floors were very noisy if you were sleeping downstairs...you can hear every little noise. You cannot really utilize the deck overlooking the golf course/ocean because of errant golf balls....real bummer! Other than that the house was gorgeous and is great for large groups!!!
