Elk Grove, CaliforniaJewel of Bodega Bay!
Left on 06/15/2012 for a stay in May 2012
It is a very beautiful ocean front vacation home. The house is locating right in front of Pacific Ocean and with a living room that has bay windows to over look the ocean. The custom home were built with superb architectural design. The lightings in the home makes the house extra appealing. The roomy master bedroom with beautiful master bath is an extra bonus. Most of all, the well design home theatre top it all. The backyard hot tub not only relaxing and fun. We had the most wonderful time sitting in the tub gazing into the sky full of twinkle twinkle little stars. It was one of a kind experience! The beautiful interior decorations and furnishings makes the stay extra cozy. We enjoyed every moment of our stay in this beautiful vacation home! Awesome!!!

This home is immaculate, well maintained and very comfortable. It has terrific unobstructed views of the ocean and is perfect for an extended weekend for three couples or a family get together. Everyone can be comfortable in the spacious living area which lends itself to conversation or individual space to read or just enjoy the view. Would definitely rent this house again.

Salida, Colorado, United StatesPhenomenal Honeymoon
Left on 02/23/2012 for a stay in October 2011
During an Indian Summer in Bodega Bay in October 2011, myself, wife, sister and bro-in-law traveled to Oceanside Retreat from the mountains of Colorado for our honeymoon. It was a pleasure communicating with the owner, Jeff, and was easy to get the place rented for the whole week. Upon arrival, the house was in great shape, extremely clean, easy to get the key for access inside, and was even better than advertised, in our opinions. The kitchen was stocked, the beds and linens were superb to the point that we didn't want to get out of bed on some days...but then would hear the crashing waves and would get right up! Everything in the house was as advertised or better (i.e. great Tv's, satellite tv, wi-fi internet, surround sound systems, comfy furniture, spacious common area...kitchen and living room, superb bbq grill, perfect hot tub, inspiringly gorgeous views of the Bay, Harbor, Pacific Ocean, and coastline to the south. With it being near the Links Golf Course, I was slightly concerned about golfing traffic, carts and any crowds and noise associated with it. Turns out, for having such close access to the course and club house, the location of the house is completely away from any noise, or golf traffic to the point that you can forget it's even there if you let yourself. The house is directly up the bank from the beach and ocean with two trails which take 3-5 minutes to walk them down to the beach (take backpack etc for the walk back up to the house) which are very easy. The sound of the crashing waves put me to sleep every night with the Master Bedroom windows open; and was awesome to listen to while in the Jacuzzi spa or just relaxing on the front deck and/or back patio. The town of Bodega Bay had all that we needed at the markets, shops, restraunts, and friendly locals; but since we stayed for a week we grocery shopped for more food at the big name stores in Petaluma, only a short 45 minutes away. There is so much to do near the house, including enjoying the beaches, ocean activities, shopping in Bodega Bay, fly a kite, visit/tour the University of California-Davis Bodega Marine Laboratory and learn so much about the coastal ecosystem and the connection between the habitat and wildlife inhabiting the area, both on land and in the ocean. Along with all that is directly locally available to see and do; we took a short 30 minute drive to the Northeast from the house to the tiny Redwood forested town of Occidental and ziplined the canopy of the Coastal Redwoods at Sonoma Canopy Tours...Another day we traveled a short 1 hour long countryside drive east to the town of Sonoma, rented bicycles and rode around on a safe bike path and toured a bunch of awesome wineries (Sonoma Valley is closer to house, but Napa Valley is not too much further away either)...Another day we traveled south on Hwy. 101 for only 1-1.5 hours and spent a day visiting the spectacular city of San Francisco. One of the best feelings I had all week was when we were heading back to Oceanside Retreat from those activities and just knowing what an incredible house and location we were blessed to be traveling back to and staying at. Also, at night, watching movies on the huge home theatre with George Lucas designed THX surround sound speakers made for some fun nighttime entertainment as well...after a euphoric soak in the jet cluttered Jacuzzi spa...haha! All 4 of us did not want to leave and are already tentatively planning another trip/stay at Oceanside Retreat in the coming years. Everything about the house, location, owners, surroundings, activities, and week long trip were all unforgettable; and created memories and a honeymoon that we will cherish forever. I would highly recommend this house to anyone interested in the perfect house, location, landlords, coastal community and experiences as I've described above. And when I was shopping around for the perfect house to rent (ideal location, ammentities, surroundings, quiet, views, oceanfront, price etc) I found that every other house I saw that was just as nice as this house without the close oceanfront location or hot tub cost at least ~$1,000 more per week than Oceanside Retreat's weekly rental rate...Fyi.

Citrus HeightsWonderful house with a great location!
Left on 11/23/2011 for a stay in November 2011
We have been renting from Bodega Bay & Beyond for years...excellent service. This house is awesome. It has a wonderful location and the amenities are top notch. It is a beautiful home. The kitchen was a joy to cook in. The sitting area is roomy and comfortable. The television are all of top quality with many stations to watch. The movie room is great (but couch with the pullout bed needs to be replaced...not a good bed). The home has nice bedrooms and bathrooms. This is truly a great house to rent.

Carmichael, CaliforniaAmazingly Perfect
Left on 04/28/2011 for a stay in April 2011
The house was beautiful and contained everything we needed plus extra's including a heated tile floor, spa, outside heater, lot's of extra towels and cozy comforters, books, games, light dimmers, movies and a movie room-blue ray, dvd, surround sound and flat screen tv's in every room which were very easy to use. There were alot of chairs inside and outside. The bedrooms were separated nicely for privacy and there was a very short walk to Doran Beach. Beautiful view and closed in back patio. The only thing we would have liked to have was softer beds and a pool table. My family of five and my parents (91 and 87 years old) absolutely loved the house. We felt right at home. The rental office had the key waiting under the mat when we got there and all the paperwork was done online. Can't get much better than that!

CloverdaleFabulous!
Left on 03/04/2011 for a stay in February 2011
Weve rented homes at Bodega Bay for 18 years and this was by far the nicest home we've ever stayed in. The view can't be beat and the home itself is sooo beautiful. The kitchen was the most well-stocked one we've ever had the pleasure of cooking in. The hot tub was the newest, nicest one we've ever had the pleasure of soaking in. And the home theaters were loved by all...especially the children. I can't say enough good things about this home...I wish we could stay here every weekend! The service from Bodega Bay and Beyond is the best...I would definitely recommend renting from this company...they are tops!

Sacramento, CABest House in Bodega Bay
Left on 03/03/2011 for a stay in February 2011
We have rented a dozen houses in Bodega Bay over the past 10 years and this is the best one yet. Great layout, lots of space, wonderful kitchen and all the tools needed to cook. Spectacular views from every window. Easy access to the beach. Great hot tub. All first class. We vacationed with another couple, our teenagers and grandma. Everyone was happy!

Honestly it felt as thought I was on a ship looking out the window. Views are to die for. It was difficult leaving, we stayed to the minute of expected departure time. The master bath had a jacuzzi tub that doesn't work (or couldn't figure it out) but the hot tub outside was wonderful. I hope I can afford to one day return to this home, the holiday premium wa pricey but hey, a million dollar view from a million dollar house...what more could you ask for. Great kitchen too.

Walnut Creek, CAGreat Views, great home.
Left on 12/24/2010 for a stay in December 2010
This home is right on the ocean so the views are spectacular. Great furnishings in the living room. Modern appliances in the kitchen. The three bedrooms are very separate from each other - it's like having three wings. Plenty of privacy. And the the theater room is really fun, unfortunately only seats 2-3. Garage for two cars. We'll stay here again.

On arrival the key was handy and we were settled soon.In the seventeen years I have rented homes in the area at that time. I have never had a more beautiful home or setting.
The home was well equipped and plenty of wood for the fireplace, which we had to use for heat.
The only negative thing was yhe heating system. It did not seem to be operable as we never were able to adjust it. It was a cold time of year.
Other than that I would greatly recomned the Ocean Retreat.
