Do you like the cozy comfort of a bed and breakfast....but want the space and privacy of a home.....

Welcome to 'Bay View'! This coastal cutie is perfect for one or two couples (and comfortably sleeps 5-6 adults). This cozy 1400 sq ft home has an open floor plan with views from most rooms (including the kitchen). Bay View's décor is best described as sophisticated beach, with original art from Sonoma Coast artists throughout the home! The home's layout allows you to visit with guests in the kitchen, living/dining room, bar area, and sunroom while enjoying the view of the bay. Curl up on the large leather sectional sofa and watch stream...ing Netflix and DVD/BluRay movies on the flat screen HDTV or enjoy a book in the overstuffed chair by the cozy wood pellet stove.

There are 2 beautifully decorated bedrooms, each furnished with a queen size bed and heated mattress wrapped in premium cotton sheets for chilly nights. There is a spacious main bathroom with private access from both bedrooms, a large granite vanity, and heated towel rack! A cozy double bed (also with heated mattress) provides additional sleeping space for an extra guest, and a great place to relax and enjoy the view or watch movies. A second full bathroom and laundry is conveniently located off the main living space.

For the cook there is a large fully-equipped kitchen with a 5 burner gas stove and double oven, and separate fridge and freezer units for ample cold food storage.

Relax in our enclosed sunroom that leads outside to the large sunny fenced yard where you will find the seasonal fire pit/conversation area, a gas BBQ, and hot tub! At times you will hear the ocean waves, fog horn and seals playing in the distance. You can always smell the clean ocean air the minute you step outside!

“Bay View” has beautiful views including Bodega Bay and the road to Bodega Head. The view changes constantly with boats heading out to sea during the day and returning home at night. During the full moon the bay glistens. However, when there is no moon the stars fill the sky and the bay sparkles with lights from the area inns and the returning fishing boats.

Centrally located, the 'Bay View House' sits on ¼ acre at the north edge of the town of Bodega Bay. Literally the last street in Bodega Bay before hitting the beaches our location provides convenience while still providing privacy and solitude. We are less than 5 minutes from Everything! (the restaurants, trails, Bodega Bay, Bodega Head (whale watching), Bodega Habour Golf Course, Doran Beach, and all the beautiful Sonoma Coast State Park (comprised of a long string of sandy beaches). Getting to the beach or bayside is a 20-30 minute walk (3 minute drive). The Children’s Bell Tower, a gift from Italy in honor of Nicholas Green and the trails surrounding the monument that lead to Bodega Dunes are only a few minute walk from the home. Continue on this path and you will pass an old Cypress tree where Monarch Butterflies stop during their yearly migration. As you travel through the dunes to the beach you will see vernal pools which change with each season. There are many things to explore both on foot and by car. Whether you spend the day exploring or just relaxing, you are sure to enjoy our cozy coastal retreat. Spending time during the 4th of July? The house has a perfect view of the fireworks launched at Westside Park.

  We loved this "Cozy" house...it was everything we had hoped for to celebrate our 25th Wedding anniversary!!! Weather wasn't the best so being "comfortable" inside was perfect!!! Everything we needed for cooking was in the kitchen. All the "Small detail" that Janie has provided was the best!! She truly hasn't missed anything!! Thank you for making our stay very "Memorable"!! Hope we can make it back very soon!!!

  It's the little things that count

  We knew Bodega Bay would be gorgeous and, from the photos and reviews, we knew Bay View would likely be perfect for our holiday weekend vacation. What we didn't know was exactly how much the thought the owners have put into the "little things" in the house. Little things like extra toothbrushes under the bathroom sink (I forgot mine), a pizza cutter in the kitchen, the pellet stove being stocked with starter pellets for your first fire, various size wine and martini glasses, plastic cups for kids, towel warmers for a cool morning, a full rack of spices, cooking oils and condiments, and on and on and on. Janice has thought of all of these things in putting together Bay View and it really makes a difference. Oh, and there was a fantastic media collection, including guidebooks, maps and Dvds, with several Hitchcock films. We watched "The Birds" on Saturday night before exploring the sites in the movie on Sunday. All these small touches really add up to one great experience.
  
  The hot tub was out of commission for this trip, so we didn't get to check it out, but Janice was extremely communicative and apologetic, trying to get the problem resolved before we arrived. She was able to offer a pro-rated deal for the weekend in exchange for the inconvenience.
  
  Bay View is close to everything. On my morning jogs, I would run over to the Children's Bell Tower and through the Bodega Dunes campground then across Highway 1 up into the hills for a spectacular sunrise view of the entire bay and outlying ocean. As a photographer, the area is a dream, and the house afforded me easy proximity to stunning views. I could pop out of the house, head five minutes up to Salmon Creek and Miwok Beach or over to the marina for a few photos before heading back to the house for lunch or a quick nap. In all, it was everything I'd hoped for on my 40th birthday weekend. As we left, we knew we'd be back for another weekend very soon. Thanks Janice! - James
