Ukiah, CAFantastic view and ocean access
Left on 09/06/2012 for a stay in August 2012
The home was very pleasant and clean with a great location. Wifi password was not in the home; office tried to help, but the password they had did not work. Master bedroom/bath/laundry is an odd configuration. (Not enough hot water for the bathtub) Beds ok for one person, but not two.

Elk Grove, CAFantastic view and great relaxation time.
Left on 05/07/2012 for a stay in March 2012
Since we are wine drinkers, the free wine bottle upon arrival was great. The view and layout of the home was wonderful. We were there with our two sons and spouse after several bad times in the family. It was a very relaxing time to get away from every thing. The home was very large and the upstairs room is a very peaceful room. It would have been nice to utilize the garage like we have done in other homes. The bathroom in the master bedroom is funny with the saloon doors. It would also be nice to have a king size bed in such a large room. Also, a larger TV in the main room would be nice. Overall we all loved the home.

Folsom, CAThanksgiving Week with Family By The Bay
Left on 12/18/2011 for a stay in November 2011
Our family (ages 5 to 75) enjoyed the week at this comfortable home right across from beach access. We enjoyed playing games inside with a fire in the fireplace. Evenings in the warm hot tub. Sunsets with a glass of wine on the deck. Dinners in the village of Bodega Bay. Walks and digging holes on the beach. Perfect place for a relaxing family vacation. We were impressed from the start by the expansive view from all of the many windows and the amenities.

Santa Rosa0h-0h, no bed for our 4th lady.
Left on 12/01/2011 for a stay in November 2011
We 3 ladies loved this house and view so well, we added our 4th friend this year thinking one of us could sleep on the futon in the upstairs living area. Upon arrival and getting settled, to our disappointment found the upstairs futon locked with a padlock. We are women in our 60's and 70's and certainly would not have jumped on your futon or damaged it in any way. Upon calling the office we were told that the house has just the 3 beds plus a mini-futon that would sleep a cat or baby in one of the bedrooms.
One of the ladies offered to sleep at home in Santa Rosa 40 minutes away or to go to a local Inn.
When I inquired as to whether the upstairs futon would have sheets, I was not told that it was unusable for paying guests...I was just told that the home is very well equipped and there would certainly be sheets available.
We took our own pillows and down comforters this year which made our stay very comfortable except for the one person who had no bed.
In the future, one could put pillows and blankets in the lovely bathtub to sleep the 4th person. There are many other lovely homes for rent in the Bodega area that do not lock up their futons; so in that respect I would say the home is absolutely gorgeous for either 3 ladies or 3 couples; but not for a 4th person.

Everything was well prepared - the house was very clean, and was easy to find, and the amenities were very comfortable. We really enjoyed the weekend sanctuary, and felt the house was situated in a nice location, though the oceanside parking lot does obscure the view. The house is a quick drive to B.B. which makes getting around convenient.

The view from Bella vista was awesome! The home itself was great...had everything we needed and it was very spacious. There were six of us and two dogs and we never felt cramped. The only downside was the gas BBQ...the middle burner didn't work. I would recommend this house to anyone!

"Home Away From Home"
Fair Oaks, CaFantastic Home I Wish It Was Mine:):)
Left on 03/03/2011 for a stay in March 2011
A real pleasure to stay there. The house was clean and very well maintained. I have stayed at the Harbor house Inn at bodega bay but it always seems to be so run down and expensive and they don't clean the sheets either (Yuck). Now they seem to have some manager there and receptionist that are very rude and miserable people. With all this said I looked for other places to stay and came across the "Bella Vista House" and I will always stay here in the future. Randy and peggy were also real polite and professional. Anyway enjoy it everyone its well worth it...:):)Troy

San Ramon, CAFabululous Ocean View
Left on 12/26/2010 for a stay in December 2010
We stayed at Belle Vista the week before Christmas. A huge storm hit us during our stay but we were so comfortable and protected at Belle Vista. We played games, built puzzles, listened to music, watched videos, played computer games (wireless access) and gazed out at the awesomeness of the ocean. It was spectacular! I would not have had it any other way. The home was perfect for our family of three young boys and an 13 year old black Labrador. We wanted to get him to the beach one last time, and the Belle Vista provided wonderful memories for us. The beach is right across the hwy, down a very quick and easy gravel pathway. Our lab was able to do it and that's all we had hoped for. The boys and lab loved exploring the huge front yard. We were unable to use the spa, but it would have been a huge hit if the weather had cooperated. One would never have to leave Belle Vista for their entire stay to feel completely entertained. We will forever remember our Bodega mini-vacation.

Santa Rosa, CAThree straight ladies and a Bichon
Left on 12/12/2010 for a stay in November 2006
We three ladies were very fortunate to have stayed at Bella Vista at almost 80 degree weather in November. Each of us having our own bedroom was very important and lovely.
The bedrooms were very clean as well as our bathrooms.
Each of us took a turn at preparing dinner one night in the open, modern and fabulous kitchen while enjoying the great fireplace and endless supply of wood. Even though the days were warm, we still enjoyed the warmth of the fireplace in the evening. I liked having the inner enclosed courtyard to let my dog out. It would have been nice to have another board at the bottom to keep him from scooting underneath to chase the wildlife. While there we saw some interesting birds walking nearby in the field.
The view from the deck at Bella Vista was fabulous! One day we spent the afternoon in swimsuits enjoying the warmth, the view of the white-water waves just reading and relaxing. We truly felt as though we had been far away on a wonderful trip; when in reality we just drove 40 minutes.
The beds were kind of comfortable; however a down comforter and pillows would have been nice because I was cold at night in the large master bedroom.
We three ladies hope to add one more to our group and book Bella Vista next October for 3 nights. The 4th person would be very comfortable sleeping on the Futon in the upstairs living room.
I would definitely return to Bella Vista and I will recommend this home without a doubt. -

Left on 11/12/2010 for a stay in October 2010
This was are second stay at this home. We love the location and the view. Our weekend was rainy, however we still had a great time plenty of room. The roof did start to leak so we placed a pan to catch the water. The toast did not release and caused the smoke alarm to go off. The ants came in out of the rain, thank goodness there was spray.

We walked into a warm, gorgeous house but wait till we opened the French doors and we went wow!
All we can say is views, views and more views. The place has a hot tub, nice kitchen and an amazing collection of music. Great access to the beaches and Russian river area. We had a masseuse come by as well.
Great place to vacation with a family. Highly recommended.

Vacaville, CaNice floor plan and wonderful view
Left on 10/22/2009 for a stay in October 2009
As I said the floor plan and view are great. The house has several different decks to enjoy also, but our weekend weather was so windy we were not able to go outside and enjoy them.
It took all morning to warm the house up with the heating system, and in the afternoon the sun made the house nice and warn, but could have used a little fresh air in the house. Could not crack open the windows, because most did not have any screens, and we did not want to deal with the flies.
The beds could have been more comfortable, and the house could have been a little more cleaner. Corners of the house and blinds were dirty. -

Corte Madera, CAWell appointed home with lovely views
Left on 07/22/2009 for a stay in July 2009
Everything was as expected. We shared the house with another family and
very much enjoyed the views and amenities the house had to offer. Excellent
music and movie selections and reliable internet access. We wish there were
more serving bowls and kitchen equipment as we prepared all of our meals for
two families at the house. Also, the dishwasher broke partway through our
stay and despite a sameday repair, it broke again the following day. We didn't
want to hassle with the repair again, so we handwashed dishes for the rest of
our stay. -

Gold country folks
Grass Valley, CAPrivate haven with beautiful views.
Left on 04/24/2009 for a stay in March 2009
The home is lovely and attention had been paid to a smart remodel.
The trek decks are wonderful, and the little yard was so perfect to
let
the dogs into. A large field in front of the house was great for
playing
with the dogs as well. The new floor-to-ceiling windows afford
very
nice views with some whitewater to the north, and crashing wave
sounds. Tons of parking. VERY private, which we loved. The inviting
hot tub was a treat, and the fireplace worked really well. The Gas
Barbeque was really dirty, but works great. There are hundreds of
eclectic music CDs to enjoy, but only dated VHS movies. There are
three queen beds, one of which was very uncomfortable. We would
have liked at least one king. Nice towels are supplied.
The only issue we had, and we almost always enjoy cooking in, is
that
the otherwise modern kitchen was woefully under-equipped, with
mostly bent or broken pots and pans and mismatched ware, only
two
or three bowls, surprising for the price. The owners promised to
replace such items in Spring of 2009, so we are looking forward to
renting again in the Fall, but if you plan to cook in alot (there are
only
a few expensive/mediocre places to eat) and have special cookware,
large bowls, storage containers, spices and knives, I recommend
bringing them along. The rental service did not supply any cleanup
supplies like Windex or foil as it was assumed they would. Again,
bring that kind of thing along with you as well as all food since the
little stores have very little and at over-the-top prices. We did get
crab from the wharf and oysters in Tomales - fun - ...we had a very
nice time and can't wait to return. -

Left on 04/23/2009 for a stay in March 2009
This was the second year my girlfriends and I have stayed at this house. We love the location most! Unlike many of the other houses that are available through the rental agency, this home sits on a nice size lot so if you want to enjoy the outside deck with friends you won't interupt others : ) Amoung the many features that is has; hot tub, large deck that overlooks the ocean, quiet secluded area, lots of room inside the house, fireplace and walking distance to the beach! I highly recommend this house and look forward to returning for many years!

It's all about the location. Perfect ocean view across from my favorite Sonoma coast beach. Enjoyed being able to bring my animals.
My only surprise was the phone call @ 10:00 saying checkout was @ 11:00. Since check-in is 4pm checkout should be at least 12:00. -

This house had the most beautiful views of any house we have stayed in by Bodega Bay. The location is perfect, just out of town. Music system top notch, tv's not so much, but that did not matter at all. The 3rd bedroom can't compare to the other 2. This house has great separation if you are with a large group. One deck to see the sunrise, the other, the sunset. Big spacious yard for a pet. We will never go back to the "golf course houses" again.
