      Fabulous

Left on 06/21/2012 for a stay in May 2012

Lovely home, views and every convenient appliance or tool in the kitchen. (loved the labeling of drawers and cabinets for ease in finding things) The owners bottle of wine was a welcoming pleasure. Our 4 grandsons ( 8-11) made the pool room their dorm...how great was that? All in all, we had a fabulous 3 generation gathering and plan to do it again at Kona Cove.

What a Fabulous Vacation Rental at Bodega Harbor!

Left on 05/26/2012 for a stay in May 2012

This house is awesome. I've rented several different homes at Bodega Harbor over the years and this is by far my favorite. I was there with 5 of my girlfriends celebrating a 50th birthday. We all loved the house - that's saying a lot. It's not pretentious and fussy. Just comfortable, clean and with a well equipped and organized kitchen. Our group loves to cook so this was important to us. I've stayed at so many rental house where it was so frustrating trying to locate what you need in the kitchen. Every cabinet is labeled. The owners of this property clearly take great care and pride in their home. The layout is nice. The location of the house is a nice easy trek to the ocean and clubhouse, I will definitely be a return guest to this great Bodega Harbor home.

      Perfection

Left on 10/27/2011 for a stay in October 2011

This was our 7th annual gathering at Kona Cove for the women and young children of our family. This house is laid out very well for such a large group (12-14). The open kitchen is very organized and stocked well. Most importantly for us is the large dining room table and open area where we all mingle together for meals and some intense scrabble games. This year the weather was exceptionally warm and the sunsets stunning over Bodega head. The children were playing out back, safe and visible, while we watched from the kitchen.

We'll be back again next year, for sure!

Left on 10/10/2011 for a stay in October 2011

Home is nicely layed out. It does need some repairs. Faucets in upstairs bath need to be replaced. Floor in same bathroom needs to be replaced. Base boards throughout house need to be painted. Window in downstairs bedroom won't close (this same window wouldn't close when we stayed there 2 years ago).

Our annual Family reunion in Bodega Bay

Left on 09/11/2011 for a stay in September 2011

My children grew up visiting Bodega Bay on weekends, so it was a natural that we chose to rent a house with Bodega Bay and Beyond to spend our Labor Day gathering.
Kona Cove was a beautiful, spacious, and well equipped home that allowed each family to have a big bedroom and private bath. We made good use of the hot tub, the pool table, and the deck and grass area for the toddlers to play. There is a TV/DVD in each room, but we rarely turned them on, mostly enjoying our CDs through the house stereo system. Although the sun never appeared the whole weekend, the beaches were warm enough to enjoy picnics and a game of frisbee, and shell-gathering for the little ones.

The staff was very helpful in allowing me to view the house before renting it, and calling us once we were settled to make sure all was well. And, as usual, we left some items behind, which are waiting for me at the office. I appreciate the wonderful service and support they gave us.

This is a great house--elegant, yet casual. It was perfect for our family of 11, including older and younger members.

We loved the VHS collections. Thanks for sharing! We also loved hiking down to the beach through Pinnacle Gulch; that was a great find!

Kona Cove was the first house my cousins and I stayed at. We were so excited to see the many beautiful homes. The views of the water and location.

The home was very clean and fully loaded. We were surprise to find that the home was very well stocked with toilet tissue, detergent, dish soap, towels just to name a few.

It was more than we expected. I great house for a small group. Very nice for any serious golfers as the house sits right on the golf course.

Fantastic Family Weekend in beautiful Setting!

Left on 03/31/2011 for a stay in March 2011

We rent Kona Cove every year as a Christmas Gift to our family and ourselves. We have celebrated special holidays and family birthdays there...laughed and cried together there...marveled over the views and ever changing character of the weather there...we have sung songs, had talent shows, drawn pictures, enjoyed hikes to the ocean and walks on the beach and played too many card games to count , there. We have stayed up to all hours talking and slept in the cozy comfort of Kona Cove. Our family treasures this magical home in a magical setting. The home is clean and well stocked. It can accomodate a large group comfortably. There is a pool table, Hot tub,bar b que, Games and Television. It is close to the beach, golf course, The Tides and the little Pink Shack Salt Water Taffy store. Everything we want or need id there. It is the place we look forward to returning to every year. We think of it as "our" Beach Home and love everything about it from the decor to the location to the large table where we have made so many memories. We have enjoyed our stay so much that we return every year and have referred it to many other family members and friends. We love Kona Cove and have taken it into our hearts.

      Thanksgiving away from home

Left on 12/19/2010 for a stay in November 2010

Wanted to rent a home for a week - so family wanted a comfortable place with "retreat" spaces for quiet/separate time; nice well-lite kitchen to putter around, to experiment new recipes (tho' our family bought too much from their own kitchen), and enough elbow room for several cooks to do their things - especially preparing the great Thanksgiving dinner; and a nice activity area for young and old (Kona Cove has a nice room that was enjoyed by all - pool table, electric piano, and DVD to watch movies brought from home). One of the family members remembered Kona Cove that we had rented a couple of years earlier. The home definitely met all our needs, again. Only suggestion is that the home could use a new set of sofas in the "activity room." "Value" was rated a little lower because the rental cost was higher during the holiday

Left on 12/18/2010 for a stay in November 2010

We loved the house. The only negatives I could think of are one: wish windows in bedrooms could be partially opened in a way that they could be locked in a partial open position for air at night and two: was surprised that there wasn't a crockpot in the kitchen. Otherwise, it was wonderful. Thanks. .

It was the nicest home we've stayed in in BB and have been coming off and on for 30 years. The only negative we found was that none of the windows or sliding doors had screens on them...therefore we had flies/bugs in the house.

      We did love the house!

Left on 10/16/2010 for a stay in October 2010

I must say that the house was really wonderful. The layout was amazing. Only two small complaints, the carpets weren't the cleanest and the pull out beds were very uncomfortable. The other beds were amazingly comfortable. Probably the best we have ever slept in and we have rented for seven years now, different houses with the exception of one. The pool table was a blast!!
All in all, as always Bodega Bay and Beyond did a great job in helping me choose a house for a large group of women. (12) I do wish you had more houses with either bunk beds or trundles. You have a few, but smaller homes. Maybe suggest to your larger home owners to get some trundles and bunks. That would be much nicer by large for big groups than pull out sofas .

      Perfect for our clan.

Left on 08/12/2010 for a stay in July 2010

We used this rental for a family reunion. Two of the bedrooms were upstairs, on one side of the house, each with its own bathroom. Two of our families had 3-year olds and the two upstairs bedroom gave them perfect privacy, and we could be downstairs having a good time without worrying about disturbing sleeping little ones. The layout of this place was just ideal for our purposes.
Everything was clean and fully functional, and extremely well stocked, right down to a basket of beach towels.
There were only three minor things that I could think of that would have made this an even better experience: 1) a bit closer to the beach...it's about a 20 minute walk, 2) this house sleeps 12, and a second frig out in the garage would have been very useful, and 3) if only this house would have accepted my dog!
We really had a terrific time!

We recently celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary in two of the homes managed by Bodgea Bay and Beyond. The furnishings in Kona Cove and Ocean Pleasure were outstanding. There wasn't anything that we wanted for that was not available. Kitchens were well furnished. Comfortable beds with lots of linens. All of the comforts of home but with a more stupendous view. Both homes had wonderful views of the Bodgea head, Doran Park and the golf course. It was a wonderful place to spend time with our family. Everybody enjoyed themselves.

Service was good. The home is spacious, airy and comfortable with great views and in top condition. Great layout- join the group or escape to you private area. Nice sound system, lots of movies and games. Many amenities and no shortage of linens. Weather was great night and day and golf course challenging.

The kitchen could use a better can opener, some mixing bowels, a large cookie sheet, a couple oblong baking dishes, a casserole dish, a new tea kettle, a couple new fry large frying pans, serving utensils, and an electric griddle. Note: We were there Christmas week and did a lot of cooking.

      We'll be back!

Kona Cove offers the best of everything! Great floor plan, lovely amenities, great location and so much more. We love the homes layout, with the different room themes, we can always come back and have a different experience. The fireplaces are a warming factor in the fall, which is when we usually come up. We love the fog by night and sun by day. The look down the golf course and the bay, the sound of the fog horns, seals and birds is one of a kind! While hanging out in Bodega Bay is great, the home is a safe haven with lots to offer the active between playing pool, or lying in the hot tub, or nestling by the fire, a very relaxing and peaceful time. Factor in the entertainers kitchen, and we rarely want to ever leave! Come one, come all! This is out of this world!
