San Francisco, CaliforniaOur 8th Year at Ocean Lookout
Left on 01/27/2012 for a stay in January 2012
We were so happy to find the hot tub heated and ready for us on our arrival. Thanks! As always, the views are stellar, especially at sundown. Everything worked well except for the range hood problem. Evidently, the light installed behind the opaque cover was a too high wattage. When wiping it down, a chunk fell off. It had turned brown and cracked from the heat. The blinds are on the wonky side. It would be lovely if they were repaired or replaced.

Fremont, CAFantastic!
Left on 09/13/2011 for a stay in September 2011
The rental home was worth our money. There was plenty of space, kitchen and bedrooms had every thing we needed. The view was great but some sun would have made a big difference; it remained foggy throughout our stay. Overall a wonderful stay!

When I came, I was very disappointed with the broken stove and microwave. After one phone call, someone came over and fixed everything immediately. Very accommodating!

Great time at this last visit to Bodega. My father has been going to Bodega since 1937. He has family friends in Salmon Creek. I've been going since the early 50's enjoying the surf fishing and rock fishing with family and extended famly. It is always great to come back, and share the beauty and sea life with everyone. Bodega has changed, and it is great to be a part of the changes.
Thank you for the opportunity to be there.

Yuba City, CaDisappointed
Left on 03/25/2011 for a stay in March 2011
The first house that was recommended was the lighthouse and we loved it. Taking your advice on the second rental we were disappointed.. Not near as nice as the lighthouse and was more expensive. The ocean lookout was dated, windows, fireplace and jacuzzi did not work.

Berkeley, CAGreat house, many amenities not working
Left on 03/03/2011 for a stay in February 2011
While Ocean Lookout is a great house, many of the amenities that were a draw for my group were not working properly. The digital interface on the hot tub was broken, which meant when it accidentally got set to off, there was no way to know (a simple sign could have prevented tampering with the temperature).Consequently we did not get to enjoy the hottub. The second fireplace, advertised on the site, was out of service and clearly had not been used for years. The foosball table, also advertised, was broken and unusable. The VCR upstairs was broken. But you can't break the view, and you can't break the awesome hike down to the beach, so we had a good time anyway. It's great how many beds the house has, and it has a very comfy, homey feel. Fun to cook in. Just wish I didn't feel like I'd been duped into renting a house with fewer amenities than I was promised.

Left on 12/19/2010 for a stay in November 2010
The house was great, perfect size for large family. The view was wonderful as was the location. The Christmas tree was a marvelous surprise and a great way yo start our Thanksgiving vacation and holiday season. The kitchen was nice especialy with the double ovens, we spent many great moments around the large dining room table. Only draw backs were thatit seemed to be very cold downstairs, hot tub did not heat up and it would have been great to have a gas BBQ. But all in all it was wonderful.

The service was as advertised and the home was clean with all the amenities one would ever need. Our location was easy to get to and within easy reach to Doran Park. I think the fact that everything we needed was at hand was the best and the least was having to leave.
We will probably use the service again. -

Antelope, Ca.Very comfortable for all!
Left on 08/12/2010 for a stay in July 2010
We were very pleased at how spacious and comfortable we found this home away from home.
We are all artists and enjoy the "sights" from all of the windows while even painting from the balcony.
We found several vases, etc., to use as set ups
while painting in doors. Only one day was too foggy
and we had to stay indoors. Thanks for a well
kept and run home away from home. Thanks,

Left on 06/29/2010 for a stay in June 2010
We came for the first time to this location to celebrate three of our 60th birthdays, and to enjoy each other's company. We thoroughly enjoyed the view of both Bodega Harbor and the entrance to Tomales Bay in the south from the patio. Everyone had a great time. Thank you for the great opportunity to enjoy.

SacramentoThe Singing Hikers - retreat
Left on 03/09/2010 for a stay in March 2010
As soon as we walked in, the open living spaces and the view brought us into the spell of this lovely home.
Several of our group immediately ran down the street towards Shirtail Trail to the beach, some pulled a chair into the the sunlight, others started lunch.
We Loved the big table right off the kitchen! And the way the bedrooms are set up, allowed everyone their privacy with a door to step outside!
The electric stove & oven set-up were perfect for our group meal fixins....how many singing hikers can you fit into that kitchen? We had 8 at one time!
LOVED the books - everywhere we looked were wonderful bookcases with inviting books to read by fireside or in a compfy chair.
Thank you for your flexibility to allow us into the house earlier that afternoon of 3/4 - we had supper ready when the rest of our group arrived at 5pm.
Looking forward to returning;
Regards,
Jan Summers -
Lovers of the Sonoma coast
San Jose, CAPleasant, spacious and homey...INCREDIBLE VIEWS!
Left on 01/12/2010 for a stay in December 2009
The views are way better than the photos show. Incredible sunsets, nice to be higher than the horizon! Spacious and easy to fit our 6 for meals and watching movies, playing WII and Playstation games (that we brought). Nice to see the views when doing dishes!!!
As an older home, not as elegant as others we rented BUT we were all comfortable and given what's stated above, that was more important.
A lovely surprise to have a fully decorated Christmas tree. Very nice touch! Amazing supply of great books on shelves located in nearly every room. So nice to have a large garage w/easy driveway & garage opener.
With some upgrading, alittle TLC and some new things, this home could rent for many more $$$.
Glad to find it was pretty clean. Nice to start with a completely empty fridge (have rented others that housed owners stuff so less space and confusing when cleaning out)
Some disappointments: Carpets are tired. The windows in the main room don't open. The bath towels smelled of mildew and/or were thread bare/unraveling/course. Mildew in the master shower soap section. Several silver fish in the master bedroom.
Loved working w/the rental staff especially Peggy.
Thanks and we look forward to a future oppty to rent again. -

Left on 11/24/2009 for a stay in November 2009
Ocean Lookout is a great place for a family gathering. The space lends itself to good conversation, places for the kids to play and a gathering place for meals. The view is spectacular, the beds are comfortable and there is plenty of space for games, tv watchig and cooking.
A great weekend. Thank you for sharing your home. -

FullertonComfortable, pleasant, nicely set up accomodations
Left on 08/23/2009 for a stay in August 2009
The home was perfect for us and what we needed. The view is spectacular.
However, the home was not really clean, the floor in the kitchen was sticky,no sponge in the mop so I got down on hands&knees to mop the floor. Most of the dishes and utensils had a hard water film on them that made them feel dirty. I ended up hand washing everything before use. The table needed a table cloth because it was sticky. The carpets need attention. There were screens missing on most of the windows that we could open. The banister on the outside entry to the house is broken, the screw rusted and broke off. The towels need updating.
That said we had a wonderful time and will definitly use the house again and recommend it to family and friends. Loved all of the books, games and movies. I hope I don't sound too critical - but you asked :) -

This large gracious home had beautiful views and lots of comfortable common areas and beautifully landscaped grounds. The hot tub gave out on our first night, a big disappointment. Otherwise, great! We were 3 couples & 3 kids.

Left on 04/23/2009 for a stay in March 2009
We enjoyed a wonderful weekend with our children and grandchildren as we have for the past 8 years. As our family has expanded so has our choice of homes. This property was lovely, large enough for us to have lots of living space as well as bedrooms. The kitchen was well stocked, the view incredible and over all very comfortable.
