Great house, perfect for families with kids. Amazing views. Would have loved a larger first floor deck and/or spa, but otherwise no complaints.

We loved staying at Pacific Jewell. Views from every room, gorgeous sunsets (that we imagined because they were fogged in which we didn't mind), wonderful walking on the beach. Thanks for a great weekend.

SacramentoRelaxation with a view!
Left on 07/08/2011 for a stay in June 2011
For our annual trip we decided to go somewhere where all we had to do was relax, eat and have a great view of the bay! We got all of that staying at the Pacific Jewel. There were seven adults staying at the Pacific Jewel and there was more than enough room for everyone. Even when five of us were in the kitchen preparing dinner there was little bumping into each other. We are looking forward to return with our families.

Great service from Sean & Peggy.Very nice helpful people.
The layout and view are excellent and also the location is wonderful. The amenities were great in some areas, very poor in others. Great view, fireplace, appliances, beds, tv's, etc. What we did not like: The cleaning co. informed Peggy that the house was ready it was not. We were told to come back in an hour by the cleaning person. Still was not ready. Toilets were not clean, [we cleaned them as best we could with limited supplies]. Linens(including towels) did not appear clean and had holes and extreme wear. No screens on windows, no bottom in bbq, door to master bedroom is broken and could not be locked, upstairs carpet really dirty and heavy smell of lysol spray. the house has great possibilities, it needs a general deep cleaning and has been neglected in several areas . Resupply the spices, cleaning supplies, etc. We really enjoyed the home and the beautiful view and would love to stay there again if it was clean and well supplied. -

Fantastic views from both upstairs and down. Very comfortable home, well suited for small children too. The baby gate for the top of the stairs was a fantastic surprise!

Left on 11/01/2010 for a stay in October 2010
Nice roomy place, however, like most of the Bodega rentals they are starting to show their age. we have been coming out for 20 years or so.
This residence had several broken sliding glass door locks as well as several windows. Not really a problem if you are famaliar with Bodega and the low crime, but might bother those comig from big cities.
Certainly a Beautuful view and lots of room

Left on 08/19/2010 for a stay in July 2010
Apart from the grey and cold weather, we enjoyed Pacific Jewel and everything it offered from the comfortable rooms and amenities, the wonderfully scenic views of the bay, easy access to golfing/other recreational activities, and proximity to Bodega Head. The members of our family range in age from 63 yrs. to 9 mos. and we enjoyed our vacation inspite of the daily cloudy weather. Golf, surfing and tide-pooling at the beach were hits.

SF Bay AreaComfortable vacation home at Bodega Bay w/ Excellent View
Left on 07/31/2010 for a stay in July 2010
The house is comfortable and spacious. The view is unbeatable. It is very quiet and peaceful at night. The amenities are older or not functional and definitely need some update. To name a few, the gas grill was out of gas and it spoiled our dinner plan. The hood over the stove did not work. One side of the sliding door in the master bedroom was broken and the glass was replaced but there were jagged glass on the edge. Coming back to the gas grill. It is ~6PM and the management people would not bring us a new tank of gas but instead, ask us to drive to the next town to get it ourselves and then request for reimbursement. What type of service is that? We have complaints about it when we checked out, but did not hear back from the management.

Left on 07/06/2010 for a stay in June 2010
Stayed for an extended weekend in July 2010 and found the house to be spacious, clean, comfortable, and well stocked with things like towels, blankets, toilet paper, etc. The house is a bit older but still very nice. There are two very spacious rooms, one smaller cozy room, and a sofa bed in the living room. The house also has a very large gas grill in the patio area. Overall the house exceeded our expectations and we would go back.

Left on 05/25/2010 for a stay in May 2010
Service was excellent from booking through checkout.
Home was cozy with great layout, sturdy furniture, nice linens, somewhat worn (but usuable) serving pieces and cooking utensils, nice appliances (although exhaust fan over cooktop was not functional), nice views of golf course and ocean through large windows, longer walk to the beach, multiple televisions (even in bedrooms), beautiful neighborhood and grounds.
No major issues.
BEST: the views.
LEAST: length of walk to the beach. -

Sacramento, CAPacific Jewel stay
Left on 05/21/2010 for a stay in May 2010
Great home and location. We loved our time in the community and thoroughly enjoyed the home. We had only two (2) issues. The first is that there was no operational exhaust fan/hood above the stove. There was a unit there, but there didn't appear to be any ducting, and hence, the fan didn't operate. The second was that the pull-out faucet was broken. Aside from these very minor issues, it is a great home and great place. We'll will definitely return to spend more time in this community.

CANice view.
Left on 10/19/2009 for a stay in October 2009
Although the view is beautiful, there is limited room for sitting outside. The
barbecue was nice and worked well. The kitchen is poorly equipped making it
difficult in which to cook. The bathroom towels smelled sour and some of
them had not been laundered. We probably won't ask to reserve this home
again.
The service from Bodega Bay & Beyond Vacation Home Rentals was efficient
and more than adequate. -

labor day weekend at the coast, weather was very nice, wind was at a minimum, hiking trails were good, particularly Shell Beach. We ate in two nights, having oysters in the shell and other delicacies. Hiked Armstrong Grove in Guerneville, meeting up with the giant Redwoods. House was very comfortable and clean.

I just returned from a stay at Pacific Jewel in Bodega Bay with my husband, our 4 and 6 year old sons, and my mother and father in-law. We had read great reviews about Pacific Jewel, but we were thrilled to discover that it was even better than we expected. The house itself is amazing, with incredible panoramic views of the ocean from virtually every window, a terrific layout that works great for families with bedrooms downstairs and living space upstairs, and a well stocked kitchen great for cooking meals at home. The house is just a short walk down to a beautiful, relatively secluded beach, that the kids loved; and a short drive to a variety of other great destinations. We also thought Bodega Bay & Beyond was terrific - they were super nice when we were booking Pacific Jewel, very helpful, and left nice touches in the house including their own special coffee, nice bars of soap, and salt water taffy when we returned the house keys. We definitely plan to return again next year to Pacific Jewel.

Left on 04/09/2009 for a stay in March 2009
My family all live in Northern California but we love to come together in Bodega Bay for family celebrations. For the past ten years, we have always stayed at the Bodega Bay and Beyond rentals because we are guaranteed quality rentals and receive excellent customer service. We have stayed at many houses around the golf course but this was the first time we stayed at the Pacific Jewel and my family loved it. It is set up with the bedrooms downstairs and the living area upstairs so we could have family gathered at the large dining room table playing games and not disturb the early to bed family members (a 7 month old baby). The kitchen is large and can accommodate plenty of people who want to keep the coffee going, make cupcakes or a ham dinner. The views are spectacular and being right on the first fairway made the views even more spectacular. A short walk to the beach and golf course keeps your car in the garage. We will certainly stay at the Pacific Jewel again, my whole family recommends it.

Left on 02/17/2009 for a stay in February 2009
My 2 sisters and our husbands have gotten together every year for the past 18 years for a long weekend over Presidents Day. We call it "Sisters Weekend." Pacific Jewel was the best accommodation we have rented so far. All six of us were very impressed with this property! It was very comfortable, plenty of bedrooms, bathrooms, great kitchen (well supplied with cooking utensils and dishes), fireplace (with lots of wood), and large living space (good-sized TV & they even had a DVD of the Hitchcock film "The Birds" filmed in Bodega Bay). Amazing ocean and golf course views from every window in the house. More economical than a hotel or b&b and so much fun to all be together in the same house. We'd love to return for a week in the summer. HIGHLY RECOMMEND for groups or families.
