Description from the manager
After you walk up the gentle ramp from the secluded western-end parking area into the foyer, look first across the living room and through the wall of windows toward the Pacific Ocean. You will also notice the large, comfortably furnished room with a woodstove. There is a flat-screen TV as well as DVD, CD and VCR. Next, go down the three steps and through the living room along the divider with its bookcases and electronics. On your right is the dining area with seating for six or more. Again, the view is through full-length windows to the ocean. Sliding doors from both the dining area and living area lead out to a patio area with BBQ. Next, w...Read more

The house was perfect. Very clean, had everything we needed. Had girls weekend, loved the view, hot tub,the layout of the house. Very relaxing, comfortable home. We walked to beach, watch some golfers out our window, the outdoor plants in bloom, sea breeze throught the many windows, blockage of wind for the hot tub, all was exactly what we hoped for. A blessed time indeed.

The house was very nice, clean, comfortable and we had no problem finding it when we arrived. There was plenty of lighting and the spa was also nice, but the chlorine was overwhelming, we started coughing and could only stay in it for a few minutes. The kitchen was fully stocked (nice). It was nice to be able to park the car in the garage too. Overall, we enjoyed our stay very much. I guess the thing we liked least was being too close to the golf course.

Quail watch was a wonderful relaxing get away for a long weekend. The hot tub was a real treat. The house was a great size for up to 6 people. It was just the two of us so we had a super nice time in a very quite beautiful spot. It had everything a home would need. We even saw two Quails. Definitely a repeat get away will occur for us at Quail Watch!

I am a professional female from the bay area. Bodega Bay has become my destination-of-choice over the past few years. I have always rented from BBB and I have never been disappointed. This home was bright, open and very comfortable. The kitchen was well-equipped, the bed was comfortable and the view was intoxicating. As always, I left feeling refreshed and rejuvenated.
Thank you Owner and thank you BBB. -

Everthing was great a 5+ star, except we had two small childern and it was noisy very early in the morning (daybreak) with the mowing of the grass, golfers staring in our windows this was unnerving. We would stay again but at a different house not one on the green.

We've stayed in many BBB homes. As always it was clean and well-situated. This house is one of the best deals on the BBB list. No reason to hesitate. Good beds. Good lighting. Perfectly comfortable. Great views of the hills to the south, virtually no intrusion of nearby houses with the shrubbery and golf course. Ocean views a bit distant but nice. Hot tub is small - four would be pushing it - but great for two on the deck. Not a lot of outdoor living space, and would be nice to have a gas grill, but it's a wonderful getaway. Be great to have closer ocean views, but not for the twice the price.

Quail Watch, a lovely open structured, well furnished and tastefully decorated home, had everything we could possibly need for a weekend of both relaxation and activities. It didn't even matter that the fog hid the view as it was a welcome diversion from the valley heat.

The house was very comfortable, light and airy with a beautiful view. The location was right on the golf course. It was very relaxing and well stocked. We walked a short distance to see the fireworks.
The sunroom was awesome with the hot tub.
Really wish there was a gas BBQ grill, instead of the charcoal weber. -

Overall, the house was great and I intend to rent it again in the future. One warning: the hot tub feels wonderful, but whatever they are using in it is much too strong. I believe it is bromine, which is my preference over chlorine, but I've never seen it so strong that it makes the water opaque, makes us sneeze and cough and ruins sterling silver jewelry. We both have sensitive skin, and it didn't cause problems there, but it turned all my sterling silver jewelry a dark grey color that can't be cleaned off (I've tried with strong silver cleaners). Don't wear jewelry in the hottub!
The house was closed up so it smelled bad, but once aired out was comfortable and clean enough (a bit of dustiness doesn't freak us out). -

I absolutely loved this home. I decided on short notice to get away and renew & refresh my soul and spirit, and this home was perfect. I felt very comfortable staying alone ( a first... due to short notice) and location of Hot Tub outside of master bedroom was very convenient. I parked my recumbent trike in the entry way and rode it twice a day during my stay. I will definitely stay at this home again. A clean and comfortable home. Kitchen and living room location make for easy mingling of family and friends.

Outstanding, and I will be back. We have been to many homes along the Sonoma Coast (ie. Sea Ranch) and this was fantastic and one of the best ever. Wish the town had a little more infrastructure (ie. Restaurants open past 10).

I have stayed at various homes in the South Harbour for several years. This was a very nice 2 1/2 BR (pull out couch in sun room) at the south end of the Heron Dr loop. Nice view of Pt Reyes; can't really see Bodega Head. Very functional kitchen with nicer than average pots, pans, utilities. Simple bedrooms that were comfortable. Clean and well prepared for my arrival as always with BB&B.;

From the outset Quail Watch was very comfortable. Things we especially enjoyed: the cleanliness, the hot tub, watching the dedicated golfers and the scurrying quail, the library, and the peaceful ambiance. We will go there again.

Left on 10/15/2010 for a stay in September 2010
Everyone knows the economy has made things tight... so being able to take a few days to celebrate a special anniversary without stressing about the money being spent is like a gift in itself! We went in on a house with our best friends and were able to take turns cooking meals so we all felt we got a little break -- we had a spa right there -- and a few movies from Netflix -- ta da! Instant perfection!

I loved the time away from the hectic schduels and enjoyed a wodnerful time to girlfriends.
We love to cook and had planned on making homemade soup and other foods that warm the heart.
Unfortunately, the kitchen was not well stcoked/supplied with the basic cooking tools. We have stayed at Harbour Master and suppose we have come to expect the same kitchen inventory. We'll know better next time and ask for a detailed kitchen tools inventory before committing to another home.

Arnold, CAgreat layout, great views!
Left on 01/21/2010 for a stay in December 2009
We loved this house! We have four teenage kids and
the layout afforded everyone enough space to truly
enjoy our stay. The house is right on top of a
superb trail to the beach, a beach that is fabulous
at any time but especially at low tide. All glass
allowed great views, the wood stove made it warm and
cozy...the kitchen was beautifully equipped,
everything was great. We shall return. If I had one
wish, it would be for a newer TV with a sharper
picture in the living room. -

Left on 10/13/2009 for a stay in October 2009
We were quite disappointed. The bottom of the shower curtain was all moldy. A terrible sound was made every time we flushed the toilet. The bathrooms were very dated. The master bedroom carpeting was stained. Very disappointing for such a beautiful home in such an incredible location.

We had a lovely visit at Quail Watch. The house was open, well-stocked, clean, and truly fit our needs. The outside was protected so we were able to sit and enjoy a little sun without the wind. we would definately rent this house again. The only drawback was there was no hand rail going up the second set of stairs to the bathrooms. This made it a little difficult for my elderly mother to navigate on her own.

First time using Bodega bay and beyond and was a great experience. Very curtious staff and very easy checking in and out.
The house was beautiful. The beds and furnature and house furnishings were very very comfortable. Had everything we needed. Even the hide a bed was comfortable. wonderful deck and solarium and Hot tub. The house was in a super location and the views were absolutly wonderful of the ocean and hills. We saw quails everyday and deer and TO MY SURPRISE A BOBCAT in the back yard. walking distance to trail to beach was great. The home had wonderful kitchen and everything needed to cook with. We had a fantastic time. We had always used other rental companys in Bodega Bay but find this company Bodega Bay and Beyond a much more pleasant experience. Bedrooms and baths were super. again very comforatble. The owners decor. is excellant and makes you and the house feel very much at home. Will be renting this house again. You can not beat the rental price for the weeks stay. Very reasonable. I cannot think of one bad thing about this house.
Thank you so much for the experince. -

We stayed at Quail Watch over Mother's Day, 2009. The home was pretty well-kept, clean, and decorated nicely. The architecture of the home was superb; the open floor plan, variable levels of the rooms, and high windows create a feeling of escape and peacefullness. Yet, it had a down-to-earth feeling that allowed us to settle in nicely, even with two young children. Everything in the home was labeled, easy to use, and in working condition. We loved the hot-tub on the deck and the wonderful views. We would definitely go back again!
