You enter home into a tiled atrium area. The Master Bedroom with King size bed is to the left with a unique red tiled tub/shower in full Bathroom. The second Bedroom, also with a Queen size bed, is to the right. It too, has its own full Bathroom with tub/shower. Sliding doors from each of these bedrooms lead to the raised deck with outdoor Hot Tub/Spa. Check-in was simple. House was clean and neat. Lots of spare linens. Kitchen was great. Nice views from deck, dining area and living room. Short walk to the beach and clubhouse.

We very much enjoyed staying at 103 Surfbird. However, there are a couple of things you may want to attend to:
the shower in the master bathroom has a slow drain and the shower fixtures are loose; some of the wall panels in the master bath have come off; the grout is discolored. Also, we could not enjoy music. There was only a old boom box that did not work with any of our I-phones or I-pods. The connecting cables were there but the auxillary function did not work. The CD player also did not work correctly. Tv and music technology requires a serious upgrade. There is just too much that happened over the past 30 years. -

The house is sunny, spectacular view of ocean and sunset, wonderful kitchen, clean, well stocked in the kitchen, and also with extra towels, games, a good stereo, and so forth. Everything was perfect for us. I do want to mention, though, that the kids' bedroom with a twin and trundle is right next to the living room with thin doors. It was ok for us but it might be good to know for other families whose kids need to go to bed early and are sensitive to noise. Also, the jets in the hot tub could have been stronger but it was fine, overall, and very relaxing. The hot tub's water temperature was fine, unlike other reviews in the past had suggested.

The view from this house is outstanding. The beach (Doran Beach) is a walk away. The neighborhood is quiet. My triplet nine-year-old boys enjoyed this house as much as my wife and I did. My family enjoyed the week we spent in Surfbird, and we would go back in an instant.

This house is located on a large cul-de-sac with a garden area in the middle, perfect spot to fly kites!!! The beach access was a very short walk away! The house was perfectly set up for 2 families, with a fantastic panoramic view of the ocean from the newly remodeled kitchen!!! We truely enjoyed our stay at the Surfbird Home, and we will be back! Thank you, Bodega Bay and Beyond!!!

Wonderful house with great views and location. Suggest upgrade for 3rd bedroom. The trundle bed wasn't good for our 3rd couple. Also, irons need to be replaced.

Excellent neighborhood location on a cul-de-sac. Greatest house feature is the bay view from the open kitchen and dining area. 2 of the 3 bedrooms are privately located on lowest of 3 levels and separate from activity rooms which is a huge plus. Spa is huge but not in as sheltered a location as other properties we have rented. Only negatives were (1) single garage door is heavy & with no auto opener and we didn't know this ahead. Not ideal for seniors or those with limited physical lifting abilities, and (2) kitchen needs a few more larger size cooking pots/pans & some kind of flat pan or griddle. Otherwise, outstaning in every sense.

The house was located in prime distance to walk to the beach - huge plus! The beds and couches were very comfortable for reading or TV viewing. The kitchen was superbly equipped and beautiful, also offering a nice reading area with lots of light. The hot tub was not working properly when we were there - temperature kept dropping which made it unusable after 24hrs. Very unfortunate since a hot tub is a critical part of our visits to Bodega Bay. That is part of our decision in picking houses. The sliding doors need some work or replacement - access out the master bedroom and the doors to the upstairs porch area was difficult. View was nice and neighborhood quiet. We visit Bodega Bay every year - this visit we enjoyed 4 days of sunshine and blue skies. Perfect.

The Surfbird is a decent place to stay, especially if you have children. Great views. The kitchen is the best part of the house. The guest bedroom could use a tv. Hot tub needed to be worked on, couldn't get it as hot as would have liked. Still though, we had a great time, and always love coming

The house and the location were great - it was close to the beach.The layout of the house was nice, and having the kitchen on the top floor with the views was super. Very comfy beds too!

Information supplied online was accurate and helped us select a rental that met our needs. The floor plan was a little awkward - a lot of stairs, with the kitchen on the highest level. This was challenging for our elder guest who has minor mobility issues. On the other hand, the view from the kitchen was lovely. The kitchen and bathroom updates were nice, however, the master shower/bathtub was tired and needed repair, the bath clean-out drain literally fell into the tub. There was no ventilation in that bathroom because the window was broken and there was no fan. Beds were comfortable. It was nice having 3 full bathrooms. We enjoyed the grill on the deck, as well as the hot tub. The guests who stayed in the room adjacent to the hot tub said it was noisy, with the motor kicking on and off at night. The carpeting throughout the house was worn and somewhat stained, though it had been thoroughly vacuumed. The living room was comfortably furnished and very pleasant. The sliding glass doors and screen doors were difficult to open due to age and wear; one was actually off the track and could not be locked until we repositioned it. We appreciated having a washer and dryer available for our use.

Staff and service was very good. The home has great views and is very comfortable in a convenient location. Improvements needed: The down stair bathrooms have unobstructed windows viewable to anyone in the backyard. Our minor female grandchildren were headed to the hot tub and almost viewed one of our party in the shower. Prompt response, where a handyman arrived and taped up a sheet, this defect should have a permanent solution. The general cleanliness of the homes have seemed to have degraded, as we find dead flies on a windowsill and dirty cloth dinning chair seats. This particular home had a defective hot tub control making the hot tub at a constant 92 degrees. The wireless Internet access could not be obtained, although wired access was available. With improvements to the bathroom windows, hot tub controls and a slight improvement to the housekeeping this experience would rate Very Good to Excellent. Besides these inconveniences we had a enjoyable time and plan come back in the future.

Great location, great view, cool floor plan, clean house...perfect for our group. We especially liked the upgraded, upstairs kitchen with the new appliances and countertops. Plus, being able to sit in the kitchen first thing in the morning with a cup of coffee looking over the ocean was great. The price was fantastic and the Bodega Bay and Beyond staff were excellent as always. Only suggestions would be to upgrade the barbeque (the legs fall off when you try to move it due to rusting in the bottom of the grill) and get rid of the large picnic table and get more outdoor chairs.

A house that is perfect for six! We did most of our living in the kitchen area - great views, wonderful light, open, airy and relaxing. The deck is a great place to hang out. Love the built in benches.
Very quiet - the cul de sac keeps traffic to an absolute minimum and the golfers are behind the house (and extra vegetation).
The only drawback is that there are not enough dishes, glassware, and silverware for six guests. We ended up having to run the dishwaher after EVERY meal just so that we could have plates, glasses, knives and forks for the next meal. And when six people eat and drink - you are using virtually dish and glass. They definitely could do better.
The recent remodel is a tremendous improvement over years past. Nice HUGE refrigerator - great replacement for the clunker that was there before. The hot tub is always a nice treat and very convenient to have a washer and dryer available. It would be nice to the mini blinds replaced with something more updated and less problematic to deal with. We solved it by just leaving them up the entire time we were there.
A lovely retreat to relax, reconnect and rest. -

The house was very comfortable and cozy; 3 bedrooms and 3 baths. The view was great, very quiet street. Loved the flow of the house, the big kitchen area, big kitchen table, the kitchen counter, the new applicances, the CD player in the kitchen area, the very nice flatscreen TV in the master bedroom. Thank you for the bag of coffee and having wireless!!!

We really enjoyed this house. It was clean and well layed out. The kitehcn was great, loved the countertops and appliances. Comfortable beds and 3 bathrooms. Also loved the hot tub. It was quiet and restful. A great getaway.

A small group of us stayed at Surfbird in August. Our favorite room by far was the kitchen, with large windows on the front and sides providing views of the ocean and the neighborhood. The livingroom has lots of comfortable seating, and we congregated there, too. Each bedroom has a bathroom, which was invaluable for getting up and ready in the mornings without chaos. A great house. I think we'd all stay there again in a minute.

Had a good time but a few issues. No screen on windows; flies got in. DVD in living room did not work. Had to hook up the one from the m/bedroom. You should not advertise this property as a 3 bedroom. My guest were very disappointed in the sleeping arraingments. Could hardly open sliders. 2 of the 4 patio chairs were broken. Master bath crank window was rusted open; could not close. Spa jets were very weak. We were told we could check in early but ended up the cleaning lady did not vacate until after 4:30 meaning we not only could not check in early but ended up being late.
Loved the remodeled kitchen and baths. -

The place is wonderful. Loved the view. It made it so much roomier. The kitchen is great. As you cook, you can enjoy the nice cold air with both windows open and the beautiful view of the ocean. The weather was great. With the cold air outside we were able to use the fireplace and kept the house nice and toasty. We were also able to walk down to the beach. The trail was nice. The coffee was great. Also enjoy the fact that all three rooms have its own bathroom.

This place was beautiful!! If we could we would go back right now!! The view was was absolutely awesome, very peaceful and quiet. The tri level affect with the indoor terrarium, along with the amenities of the kitchen and the spa made this one of the most memorable weekends we ever had. The service was great, we will definitely be back!!!

I loved the floorplan, each of us having our own bed and bath. Mainly being close to the beach and enjoying the view from the dining, kitchen, deck or livingroom area was wonderful and I want the kitchen /dining set up in my home-it was fun to cook and clean there because the space was so open and beautiful. I want to come back.
