You enter the home through a gated courtyard path, with private Hot Tub/Spa on the right, to weather-protected entry deck. Upon entry through the main entry door you find yourself in a large hallway area with laundry room on your left, half Bathroom diagonally to the right and the bedroom wing to the far right. Straight ahead from the entry area, you enter the large, fully equipped Kitchen with cooking island and breakfast nook. The view was great , home very clean and thats not easy with pet friendly homes. Yes we saw previous spots, but no smell and our dog did not seem to even notice past doggie mistakes. We had a leaking roof in LR and the stove only had 2 burners somewhat working. Electricity went out last night and had to wait for morning to find fuse box because it was too dark but otherwise all was great. What concerned us mostly was not being able to reach anyone at emergency number when we were leaving because of smell of electricity in garage. My husband noticed a few sparks from garage ceiling light then turned off all lights. The smell of something burning or electricity was very strong so we stayed an extra time to make sure nothing caught fire... especially sincne we could not reach anyone (but it was a holiday).

We have stayed in many lovely homes with Bodega Bay and Beyond, but this home was one of our favorite. The home had all the amenities we needed for a memorable time. We cooked gourmet meals in the kitchen that had all the utensils and amenities we needed. It had gorgeous views of the ocean from the living room; it afforded us the opportunity to watch the wildlife including deer on the golf course, a small bobcat hunting for mice, and numerous beautiful birds soaring overhead. The trail to the beach from the house was close by and the hike on the trail was invigorating--our dog loved it too! And we enjoyed sitting in the hot tub in the evening under the clear sky, looking at the stars, hanging out with family...nothing could be better in my opinion. Wonderful!

we have stayed at the wren lookout for the past three years.. the service we receive from bodega bay & beyond is wonderful. the home fits our needs perfectly. anything we felt needed fixing, for the most part is taken care of when we return. the location is awesome, we have a partial view of the bay and a wonderful backyard view of the golf course and of course the deer. the least is the available shopping for groc. items. of course Petaluma isn't that far away and great outlet stores there.

Seven artists joined for seven days of painting the wonderful area around Bodega Bay. We do this every year and this was one of exceptioal pleasure to us all. The
view from our "Home" was wonderful and we even painted from the patio. The home was well appointed and comfortable. Thank you

This is our favorite house in bodega bay. My only complaint is that is is usually rented! Great views, great hot tub, excellent kitchen. I'm not crazy about the electric stove. I love to cook and this makes it a little more challenging.

House was clean and beds were comfortable. Kitchen had outdated stove and oven, and one burner of stove did not work. Kitchen was not stocked - ran out of paper towels on first night, no napkins, no foil, no plastic wrap. Also, there was no bar soap in any of the bathrooms. Shower in one of the bathrooms had poor water pressure. No fans in bathrooms, which was concerning given that the bathrooms were carpeted. Would prefer a house with more living room seating. This house has one sofa and two modern chairs and a bench. Not so easy for all 6 of us guests to lounge. Spa in good working condition.

The check in process was great with the key waiting for us at the time of arrival. We had some trobable getting wood delivered and had to call serveral times over serveral days & did run out of wood for part of stay. We were there over Thanksgiving week and it was a very cold week, the homes heater is not the greatest, we had to work hard at keep the house warm enough so may want to consider some updateing of the system. The dish washer was extremly noisey but see that owner has a new one in garage to be installed. The hot water heater in the home had a hard time keeping up with our shower times and the big tub in master bed room could not be enjoyed. The house other wise was beautiful, well equiped and very comfortable. The veiw from the back of the house is amazing and for the price and over all review of our week there we would definately consider staying in this home again. Thanks for another wonderful trip to Bodega Bay. My family and I have been taking yearly trips to Bodega Bay since 1997 always staying in a home on the golf course and have never had anything but a great time.

Kitchen was well stocked for cooking, house was very spacious. The best part was the deck with the view of both the Pacific Ocean and the Bay...great to watch the sunset followed by all the lights in the harbor and the town. Pet friendly was a plus, and the secluded hot tub. Overall one of our favorite homes to stay at in Bodega Harbor.

I love staying in this rental home. We've been coming here for years and have tried several homes in the area, this is our families favorite. I love that I can bring my dog. The house has been upgraded with new wood floors, refigerator, wine cooler, etc... Plenty of dishes and cookware for my family of 6. We love that the house sits ontop of a hill that has a veiw of the golf course and the ocean. I did feel the home was a little less clean than it has been in the past.

House was comfortable, clean, well stocked just what we were looking for in a get-away. Beautiful view from a distance, enjoyed watching the golfers. It was great we were able to have our Standard Poodle with us. No fence in yard or deck to let her roam freely, but shed did great on the extended leash outside. We woulde definately stay there again.

This is the 3rd time we have rented the property. I had to clean the windows to see the view. The dishwasher needs to be replaced and there is an odor in the master bathroom. Several boards on the outside deck were loose. We really like the location and the house and will rent it again if there problems are fixed.

Wren lookout was a great place for three couples to spend a weekend relaxing, hiking, playing at the beach and Bbqing. We loved that our dogs could come along and the house was great for them. Great weekend!!

The views were great, an ideal home to enjoy a nice relaxful weekend with plenty of room for 6 people and 1 dog. The house is nicely decorated and we immediately fell in love with it. We especially loved the view from the kitchen nook even when we weren't eating it was an enjoyable place to relax and read a book or just enjoy the view. The master bedroom and bathroom was big. It was especially nice to be able to rent a house as nice as this that allowed dogs. We would rent this house again.

we spent three fun days and nights at the wren lookout. House is on the 13th tee and a great view. Our main issue is the kitchen stove. It truly is not a cookable appliance and needs to be replaced. Fridge is new and great. Some minor things but all things considered --- great time and I really didn't want to cook anyhow.

This was our second stay at "Wren Lookout"; both visits included family. We love the wrap-around deck at the 13th tee with views of both the bay and the ocean. The living room has been newly furnished; the hardwood floors are nice too.
We were a bit surprised to find ants on the kitchen counter the first morning then even more on the master bathroom counter the following night. The carpets need to be more thoroughly cleaned in the master bedroom, "pet friendly" shouldn't mean "pet smelly". My husband's spot cleaning improved the situation. The refrigerator (also new) had a bit of a fishy smell, not pleasant, but not so bad that we couldn't use it. Furthermore, we were disappointed that golf was essentially unavailable on Saturday due to a tour group reserving the course for the afternoon.(That's just wrong!) We paid for a late check-out to get to golf on Sunday.
Despite those inconveniences our family had an enjoyable stay. We like the home and most especially the area.

As always, BB&B provided for the perfect weekend escape from reality - a short vacation to the Sonoma Coast! A hot swirling spa, large fully stocked kitchen and large flat screen TV for the Wimbledon match equated to a restful retreat for the troops...
Wren Lookout's secluded location along the 12th Green and 13th Hole Tee Box offered peaceful distractions during the afternoon while catching up on our latest books. The broad views of the Pacific over Bodega Head were stunning as well.
Pet-friendly accomodations are always appreciated and this home fit the bill in every way - Maddie and Bulah approved!!! -

We couldn't have picked a better house in person. The Wren Lookout had everything we needed and more. Wonderful kitchen to work in. Spacious and well laid out. Took in golfing, hiking, fishing and just hanging out. Very peaceful and relaxing. Hope to get back again sometime in the future. Only item I would change- if anything, is the dishwasher was loud and ran forever it seemed. Tried not to use it much. Otherwise everything was great. (Maybe a gas grill due to the wind).

This house ended up being better then I thought. We arrived very late on Thursday night so didn't get to see the view until the morning and it was just like opening a gift, just amazing. The kitchen which was fully stocked with everything I could think of was there and made cooking for the group so fun. I think I took a bath in the soaking tub every day and some days twice because it was so inviting. Most of the day we spent on the deck looking out at the water or watching the golfers passing by, and early morning Saturday we go to see a mamma deer and Fawn run by my 2 year old son loved that. The fresh coffee beans was such nice touch. For anyone looking for a nice simple vacation home this is a great spot.

This house has lots of windows and skylights making the house light and open. The layout of the house is nice (bedrooms down the hall from family room) and each room (kitchen, family room, bathrooms, bedrooms) is roomy/spacious. In additon, the home's furnishings are nicely updated. We love the breakfast table area with views of rolling hills, golf course and bay/ocean. Being "pet friendly" was a great bonus. We would love to spend time at this house again!
