Tranquility at the end of a Track...

Left on 04/16/2013 for a stay in April 2013

I booked Kerriers Barn for a week as a surprise for my husbands birthday. I was confident from the website & reviews it would be great, but no picture captures it fully. He and the children were all "wowed" especially when Sarah said would you like to see the hot tub!!!
It is a beautiful barn conversion, so much character, so clean, so cosy and so well equipped. Very pretty and tranquil location, the children loved the freedom of the garden, the deer we saw was a real treat! The hot tub was divine after very chilly, windy days on the beach. Love, love, loved it. Heartily recommend a stay.

A Perfect Holiday at Kerriers Barn

Left on 07/28/2012 for a stay in July 2012

Kerriers Barn was quite simply fantastic.
We arrived after a long journey and were greeted by Sarah who was incredibly friendly and gave us some useful information about the local area.

The barn was very cosy and homely and included everything we needed to live comfortably and more! As mentioned by a lot of other reviewers, the hot tub is fantastic! Very clean, very comfortable and I would definitely recommend to everyone.

The barn is in a perfect location with all attractions and amenities a very short drive away. We were able to visit the most popular attractions all within 30 minutes so no really early starts. Perfect!

Left on 11/07/2011 for a stay in October 2011

We booked Kerriers Barn after having read the excellent reviews on Tripadvisor and can say that it exceeded our expectations. The accommodation is spacious. There is plenty of storage/wardrobe/drawer space. It was furnished and equipped to a very high standard.
iT is very peaceful and we really enjoyed making use of the hot tub. Sarah was extremenly helpful, warm and friendly.

Cosy studio, great location, relaxing stay

Left on 11/04/2011 for a stay in October 2011

We stayed at the studio for 6 days during the half term period. The apartment was cosy, clean and comfortable with all the extras needed for a relaxing break (including fab hot tub!!). We enjoyed staying off the beaten track, and all amenities (shops, pubs) were only a short drive away. The barn's located a short drive away from the a30 which is great for accessing the rest of Cornwall.

      Wonderful place to stay

Left on 10/31/2011 for a stay in August 2011

We stayed at Kerriers Barn in august this summer for a week with our two small children (aged 6 and 3). The barn is wonderful and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It is very much a home from home and Sarah has thought of everything you might need while you are on holiday - including a Cornish cream tea on arrival and a bottle of wine. The barn was extremely clean and well presented. The open plan kitchen, dining room and living room is a great space and the bedrooms and bathroom very comfortable. The gardens and hot tub were great and it was brilliant to have outside space. The barn looks better in real life than it does in the photos on the website - they really don't do Kerriers Barn justice! We will definitely be returning for another stay.

The perfect location for your Cornwall holiday

Left on 10/24/2011 for a stay in September 2011

When holidaying in Cornwall again we will definitely try and make The Barn our destination. It is the perfect location for days out - in the past we have made the mistake of staying a bit further in and ending up on lots of narrow roads. The route in across the common made us wonder if we were on the right track (literally) but then it opens up into wonderful farm buildings of which the barn is one. Ample parking, gardens, some private, some shared, a hot-tub that we didn't think we would use, but then used every day all made for a great holiday. The owners are attentive and there if you need them without being all "in your face" with a genuine desire to see you have a great holiday. The pictures on Tripadvisor are a genuine representation of the accommodation, not taken from strategic angles as some places do.

      A perfect home from home!

Left on 08/25/2011 for a stay in August 2011

We stayed at the barn with our three small children (6, 4, and 2) and it was perfect for us. It's a short way from the A30 and in a convenient location in between the two coastlines - ideal for sightseeing and day trips. It's in an absolutely gorgeous location on the farm, and the kids loved using the climbing frame/slide/swing and saying hello to the cows every day. It's off the beaten track, so it's wonderfully quiet and very scenic.

The rooms are actually larger than they seem in the photos, particularly the bedrooms. The kids slept in two twin beds and a ready bed on the floor (that we brought with us), and there was more than enough room for all of them, even with the ready bed on the floor. The king-sized bed in our room was comfortable, and the bathroom was deceptively large as well (with a fantastic, long tub!) Even with all 5 of us in one cottage, we never felt like we were on top of each other. The rooms are all nicely finished and decorated, and the cottage was spotless when we arrived.

The cottage is very well equipped; we really didn't need to bring or buy anything for it other than our food and drink. I loved the plate of scones, jam, and clotted cream in the fridge waiting for us when we arrived - such a nice touch. The hot tub is just amazing (the kids loved having their own "pool") and a real treat after a long day.

Ideally, we'd prefer to have a fully enclosed garden (the fencing only goes along one side, between the studio and the rest of the barn) to keep the kids contained. Otherwise, we have no complaints and would very happily stay here again. Sarah and John were great hosts and made us feel very welcome.

We had a wonderfull time staying in the barn cottage: great view from the living-room, great furniture and decoration! Moreover Sarah welcomed us very warmly with local cakes and has thought about everything we may need during our stay. If we come back to Cornwall, we will definitely go back to Kerriers Barn!

A lovely cottage in a peaceful and central location

Left on 05/01/2011 for a stay in April 2011

We really liked Kerriers Studio. It was very well-designed and prettily decorated. The bedroom had a comfortable king-size bed (from where we were able to watch TV), and plenty of storage. The kitchen was well- equipped and functional (we would have liked a dishwasher but the size made this impracticable) and the outside spa pool was a nice bonus. Our only grip would be that the bed settee was not very comfortable to sit on (although this is probably the case with most bed settees). Overall, though, we had a very pleasant week in a peaceful and central spot, from where we were easily able to access all corners of Cornwall.

If you're going to Cornwall, you must stay here

Left on 12/11/2010 for a stay in November 2010

We visited the barn as a family of 4 adults for a week in November and had a fantastic holiday. The barn has everything you need and is a real home-from home. The location for us was just right, very secluded and peaceful but just a 3 minute drive to the main a30 for accessing all that Cornwall has to offer.

We really couldn't fault the property at all, and owner Sarah was very friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. There is so much to mention, but the real highlights for us were complete 5* luxury with underfloor heating throughout, the hot tub (a real treat, even in the winter), a beautiful spacious bathroom and the location right in the middle of Cornwall.

We will definitely be going back to Kerriers next year. Thanks to Sarah and John for a really great stay.

We stayed in the Studio appartment at Kerriers barn with our two young children (aged 5 & 2). It was perfect - lovely decor, clean, comfortable, relaxed - in the most beautiful setting. Sarah and John were the perfect hosts and made us feel very welcome. Kerriers is a fantastic base from which to explore both the North and South coast...we can't wait to go back!

Absolutely what we were looking for!

Left on 09/28/2010 for a stay in September 2010

We were looking to escape London for some relaxation and luckily stumbled upon Kerrier’s using trip advisor. It was exactly what we were looking for.

Kerrier’s was in a perfect location for us. Within driving distance of local townships and tourist attractions, yet removed enough to enjoy the peace and quiet of the Cornwall countryside.

The barn itself is completely removed from the main house in which the owning family resides, however is connected to the studio apartment. There was another couple in the adjoining studio during our stay however we never noticed them.

Everything you could require for you holiday was provided. There was nothing better than returning to the barn at the end of the day and sinking into the hot tub with a glass of wine!

Thank you to Sarah and John for providing such a fabulous place to holiday! We definitely hope to stay with you next time we are in Cornwall.

      Fantastic - modern and clean

Left on 09/07/2010 for a stay in August 2010

Stayed at the studio ( The end part of the barn) for a week and thoroughly enjoyed it. The apartment is new and spotlessly clean, slightly larger than the pictures suggest and in a very very quiet location. Everything you need was there on arrival and indeed so were some scones with conserve and clotted cream. Towels and bedding are Marks and Spencers quality if not the real articles. All of the accommodation is finished to a high standard and well insulated so as not to hear any noise whatsoever from the couple with children who occupied the other end of the barn during our stay.
The garden is totally private with access through your own front door or by way of a lockable back door; therefore you aren't overlooked and can relax in the hot tub and garden in privacy.
The tub was heated for the full duration of the visit and was ready on arrival.
The owners are friendly, but leave you to go about your holiday without being obtrusive.
Without doubt I will be back and recommending it to friends.
You can even watch TV while relaxing in bed!! - Have fun.

      Fantastic family holiday let

Left on 07/05/2010 for a stay in June 2010

We had a superb week, this was our second visit to Kerriers, (need we say more) an idyllically situated barn conversion in the heart of the Cornish countryside. After a long journey from Scotland, all was forgotten when greeted with scones, and a lovely chilled glass of wine which was a welcome treat!

Our hosts Sarah & John are friendly, warm and welcoming, and were a great source of information, pointing out places of interest and recommending places to eat.

The accommodation is of a very high standard, well equipped, a real home from home. Our children aged 5 & 3 enjoyed Sarah & John’s beautiful garden especially the outdoor play equipment, the barn also has its own private secluded garden with patio, bbq and best of all the Hot Tub, a great place to unwind after exploring!

If you are looking for a peaceful country retreat, Kerriers is a great base from which to explore the rest of this fantastic region. We would highly recommend this barn to our friends & family, we will definitely return!
