Very close to Piazza Maggiore,
we are in the heart of the city centre, with access to many bus stops on our doorstep, including the airbus to and from the airport which is less than 100 metres away and a brisk 20 minute walk from the railway station.
In a historical building, the “A Due Passi” B&B; has two large very spacious and comfortable rooms, Sole (Sun) and Luna (Moon).
The Sole room is an ensuite room, has a large double bed and a large window that gives on the street. There is a 24 hours internet connection at no extra cost.

Très bel appartement dans un palais du centre ville, très bien placé. Belle chambre claire et confortable, salle de bains séparée très confortable. Piero est un hôte adorable et très attentif. On se sent chez lui comme chez soi, il n'est pas avare de conseils toujours avisés. Ce séjour était un plaisir. Nous reviendrons !

Garbo, Gentilezza e Cortesia, disponibilita' al dialogo dentro casa si respira una bella aria, di arte e quant'altro, il proprietario una persona per bene e a modo, ci è piaciuto.
Ps. il centro è davvero a "due passi"!!! -

Per chi non conosce Bologna dico che soggiornare dal Signor Piero è il modo migliore per sentirsi parte della città . Il B&B; è centrale e si trova in un palazzo antico e splendido. L'atmosfera in casa è accogliente e serena. A colazione sarete accolti da un'atmosfera tranquilla,una finestra aperta sul nuovo giorno e sulla corte interna, raffinata musica jazz e dalla cordialità di Piero.
Superfluo dire che la camera è bella, ben tenuta, molto pulita e confortevole, che la colazione è ottima ecc.
Se volete andare a Bologna non troverete un modo migliore per soggiornare, credetemi...

Il B&B; si trova in un edificio storico, all'interno della casa del sig. Piero, piena di libri e di cultura. Le camere dispongono una di bagno privato, l'altra di un bagno fuori dalla camera, ma molto spazioso. Anche le camere stesse sono spaziose e dotate di wi-fi. E inoltre il proprietario è molto gentile e cordiale.
E' comodissimo da raggiungere dalla stazione (una quindicina di minuti a piedi, o in autobus, la fermata è proprio lungo la strada principale) e davvero a due passi dal centro. Insomma, un'ottima soluzione per chi raggiunge la città in treno e vuole godersela all'aria aperta. -

My wife and I and another couple rented Piero's two rooms in his large city apartment near the Piazza Maggiore in Bologna. The rooms are on the 2nd floor (3rd floor in US) with no lift. This was not a problem for us, but could be for others. Piero is an outstanding host and is very knowledgible about Bologna and the surrounding region. The rooms are large, one facing the courtyard and one facing the street. We could not have asked for a better person to meet than Piero. I corresponded with him by Email extensively prior to arrival. Bologna is not vey touristy, thus very few souvenier shops, touts, etc. It is very Italian and is centrally located. We took day trips by train to Verona, Milano, Florence very easily. The first university in Europe began in Bologna, and there are lots of youg people in addition to the townspeople. There are several miles of porticoed sidewalks (called arcades), including one of 666 arches to San Luca on a hilltop overlooking the city. Restarurants are abundant, as are cafes and gelaterias(!!). We arrived by train and walked with our luggage--daypack and rolling suitcase. Took about 15 minutes. Wi-Fi is available.

A central place: two minutes from Piazza and S. Petronio church. A place full of books and music. The rooms and bathrooms are spotless. The owner is friendly and unobtrusive, speaks English and French and is always ready to help for any case or information. Mythical breakfast with biscuits come out of a traditional oven.
Centrale: a due minuti dalla Piazza e da S. Petronio e servito dai mezzi pubblici. Un ambiente vissuto, ricco di libri e di musica. Le camere e i bagni sono pulitissimi. Il proprietario è cordiale e discreto, parla inglese e francese ed è sempre pronto a dare aiuto per qualsiasi evenienza o informazione. Mitiche le colazioni con biscotti usciti da un forno artigianale.

Piero was a charming and helpful host. He arranged early checkin and greeted us on arrival. He also arranged late checkout .Most helpful of all , when we left a valuable package behind he immediatly arranged for it to be couriered ahead to us at our next accommodation.
The room was clean , tidy , and just as described on the website.
It was a pleasure to share Piero's home for the duration of our stay. -
