Charming duplex studio apartment for vacation rentals in Bologna, recently renovated, located on the first floor of a period building dating back to the 17th Century (without elevator) overlooking the very central and characteristic Via Piella, where once was located the river port of Bologna.
This apartment mixes up classic details, such as the ceilings with exposed wooden beams (4 mts. high), with the functionality of a modern and cosy furniture. NorwichGood central apartment. Ideal location for the Bologna Book Fair

We decided to chose this apartment for the price was reasonable, the location was good and it looked great from the photos. The apartment accommodated three guys for four nights during the book fair and the size of the apartment wasn't really an issue for we spent most of the time away. In fact I thought the apartment was going to be smaller than it was! The apartment was clean and comfortable but please replace the broken light bulbs!
One issue we had were the little extra charges we needed to pay. The first was, 20euros for a Sunday check-in (that's ridiculous!!) the second was for the wifi. 5euros a day, so that worked out to another 20euros.
Check-out was a bit frustrating. We had organised a check-out time with our rep but on the day no-one turned up. We phoned and text and had no answer so in the end we just left. It wasn't until 3 days later when I was back in the UK when I received an apologetic email. This wasn't good enough!
Bologna is a great city and there was lots to see and do in the local area. -

The rental really was great. Loved the location and the apartment was comfortable. Main concern was the ladder to the loft. I was certain one of us was going to fall at some point during the week. I think it should be replaced with something with wider steps. This is a ladder used to climb onto a roof. Not too safe with bare feet.
Other concerns were that we ran out of toilet paper, there were no wash cloths or sponges to wash dishes and no paper towels. Those couple of items would have made the stay much more pleasant.
I started feeling like I was part of the community while staying in the apartment. The location was so great. All of the restaurants nearby were top notch and the distance to the bus stop made heading to the convention center quite easy. -

Great Location in the middle of Center. Over charge on service fee. I was charged 20 euro extra for a special holiday check in and another 20 euro for checking out on Sunday... It doesn't make sense?! My service representative was late at check in and check out. He promised to provide me with internet codes and never followed up until I called him several times.
The apartment was very comfortable and my booking agent from Halldis, Simone Fusi, has always been great and quick to my reply.
Over all, great apartment, very clean, Bologna agent too young and not prompt. My booking agent, as always wonderful.
