Testoni A - 1156 - Bologna Bologna, Emilia-Romagna, Italy
Additional Location Information
The apartment is located in the heart of Bologna historical center, in the area surrounding Piazza Maggiore (S. Petronio church - one of the most important churches of the world -, Palazzo D’Accursio, Museo Morandi, Palazzo Re Enzo, Museo Civico), Piazza Nettuno with the beautiful fountain by Gianbologna and the former Sala Borsa, seat of an important multimedia library, and the Two towers, dating back to 1100. This is the fulcrum of the city and in the vicinity is a myriad of alleys with colourful street markets, pubs, trendy nightspots and typical or historical shops.
Close to the apartment is an elegant restaurant, renowned for char-grilled fish and meat, one of the most famous bar-patisseries of Bologna, various shops (among which a pharmacy at the corner with Via Ugo Bassi) and a supermarket at about 200 metres.

A well equiped, spaceous apartment, lovely terrace with views over the old city. Good insulation against noise, Easy walking to most of the historical sights. Unfortunately it is not well maintained, a pity, because it is ideal foe four people.

The historic center of Bologna is supremely walkable, in weather fair or foul due to the porticoes. We stayed in this a apartment for a month. The location was ideal, easily walkable to anything within the wall. The Mercato delle Erbe is a half block away. Five minute walk to Piazza Maggiore. The apartment was clean, quiet, nicely appointed, and highly functional. The ample terrace opens off of the kitchen and the den area. Entry and departure procedures were timely and professionally handled. Wi-fi was provided from a router in the adjacent apartment, and was spotty (or worse) at times; the agent had to re-set it a couple of times.
If you want to walk to the Sanctuario San Luca on the hill south of town, you might want to take a cab there and walk back. Take the bus (number 30) up to San Michele en Bosco; the sidewalks along the twisting road are very narrow.

Stayed from November to late January. Family came for Christmas. Extra manchester required and supplied promptly. All had the best time. A few hiccups with wifi and power but dealt with efficiently and happily by hallidis staff and consequently had little effect on stay. Just terrific and Gamberini downstairs a must. Hopefully will come back.
Great location, well lit modern unit

We stayed in thi modern unit for 5 nights in early October. We were met by the agent on time but being from out of town, he was unable to give us much local information or provide us with a map. The appartment was quite light and modern, however the building was undergoing renovation and the mornings were quite noisy with hammering etc.
The location was excellent, close to transport and walking distance to man attractions.
The accommodation was adequate but missing several simple items that could have made the stay a lot more pleasant. More pillows,a clothes airer to place on the nice little terrace tea towels, adequate extensions and power point correction( the bedroom tv 's cord was too short to reach the power point and had the wrong plug anyway!), a shower curtain so that the 2nd shower could be used without flooding the floor and very importantly some labelling of the fridge connection ( which we accidentally disconnected for a whole day, not realizing it wasconnected to the microwave plug and showing "on"in a different direction as the other switch...) would have all been helpful without being expensive.
We were also a bit annoyed at being charged 20 Euro as we left on a Saturday morning and that attracted an extra fee- unclear why it should be so when Saturday is a normal working day!
we were given the option of wi-fi connection for 20 euro per week, which we took. This however had not been mentioned on the website.
Overall it was a pleasnat place to stay, but more info on local eateries and maps in the apprtment, like we found on all the other appartments we stayed at in Italy, would have been a helpful touch.
It was an expensive place however, and nexttime I would probably look at other alternatives as well.
