A beautiful house in a stunning location. The house has everything you could ask for, including underfloor heating and cosy beds! Perfect for big groups with great dining space and a well equipped kitchen as well as a lovely lounge to chill out in. The owners really have not spared any expense in making this place the perfect place to relax with great friends! Looking forward to further visits in the future!

A group of 8 of us stayed at Migdale Water Mill for a friend's birthday and we all had an excellent visit. The house itself is stunning with all the amenities you need for a quiet or lively weekend away in beautiful countryside. The bedrooms were spacious and warm and the living area was perfect for big dinner parties and even a spot of dancing! We couldn't have asked for better weather which topped off our perfect weekend away. I can't wait to go back! x

Just spent a wonderful week at Migdale during lambing season. The Mill is surrounded by birdlife of all kinds, many lambs and calves and there are pheasants and ducks in the garden. Great walks, lots of lovely villages to explore. The house is very comfortable indeed, and many times I heard the comment 'I just love this place' from family members throughout our stay. Interesting house with lots of nooks and crannies - oh and a log fire for atmosphere at night. We rarely return to the same place twice but this place has definitely changed our minds!

We took the Mill for a group holiday with 6 adults and 4 children and it was just perfect. All the double rooms were en suite and the twins shared a bath which was also perfect for smaller children. The kitchen is very well equipped and the huge dining table in the conservatory made it very comfortable to enjoy prolonged meal times without getting rained on or midged! The restoration has been so tastefully and interestingly done that it makes it an exciting place to be indoors to. The rope swing was a great hit with the kids (and their dads), even grandpa had a go. We loved Dunrobin Castle, the falconry, Shin Falls and the pony trekking along the beach with Highlands Unbridled. The Doll Ford made a wonderful picnic site too. Thanks Dimity and alan (and Sonia).

We had the most wonderful stay at Migdale and can't wait to return. The thoughtful attention to detail and creature comforts makes this a most comfortable and cosy home. Lovely walks and a great place to relax after a day of sightseeing and activity. Thank you so much Dimity and Alan.

Hello, thank you Alan and Dimity for providing your holiday home for our vacation. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience, quite a contrast to the countryside in Sydney Australia. The walks around the property are fantastic and it was a thrill to see some young boys catching trout. The house is beautifully appointed and provides a relaxing environment with a variety of living room areas.
We'd certainly like to return!

It's been a long time since we ventured North of the Border but following a fantastic stay at the Migdale Water Mill we will definitely be back.
The Mill has been restored to a high standard whilst retaining many of the original features, including the water wheel. All facilities and provided equipment were first class, we couldn't fault the owners attention to detail.
We loved the peaceful setting surrounded by unspoilt countryside but with only a short trip into nearby Bonar Bridge to stock up on supplies.
You couldn't ask for a more idylic base from which to explore the delights of Scotland. Marks out of 10 - we would give it a 9.5 -

Absolutely loved the conservatory which complimented the building and with its underfloor heating made even dreary weather seem unimportant as it provided such a cheerful space to read, eat, converse or just watch the wildlife, all things that are essential on a good holiday. The peace and quiet of the area were a tonic.

We stayed at Migdale Water Mill with friends last year and can highly recommend it. Very comfortable with plenty of space for everyone!
There are lots of places to visit nearby - beaches, castles, beautiful scenery and well within reach of John O'Groats and the West Coast for day trips further afield.
It was very easy to fly up to Inverness and car hire was cheap - a great short break for us Southerners!
