Soline was very accomodating and arranged for us to check in early. The apartment is very well equipped, very clean and tidy and in a great location for exploring Bordeaux. There are plenty of restaurants very close by, and some helpful recommendations.

A truly beautiful apartment. Amazingly located in the heart of the old town, seconds from the river and surrounded by beautiful buildings and real French life. The apartment had everything we needed: warm, well equiped, good wifi, and a fantastic atmosphere. A very, very happy week here with my family - even if the weather wasn't perfect!

Great location, close to quay de chartrons, 10 min walk into town and good bars/ restaurants close by. Appartment had everything needed for a long weekend stay, beer already in fridge and overall very nicely presented. Would definately stay again.

This apartment was perfectly placed and had all amenities. Staying here made us feel less like tourists. Wish we could have stayed longer. From the booking to the arrival, everything was smooth and hassel free. Soline made us feel very welcome.

My wife and I spent 9 days in Bordeaux and we loved every minute of it. The apartment is in a perfect location with many restaurants and shops close by. It has all the modern amenities one needs and is quite comfortable. The bedrooms are at the back and very quite. Soline and her husband were very helpful and friendly when we arrived and when we department.
If we ever go back to Bordeaux we will definitely rent from Soline again.

I was slightly apprehensive about spending a week in a City.
We arrived at the appartment were met by Soline and from there on we had a brilliant time.Soline was a pleasrure to meet so bubbly and helpful.The appartment was immaculate,modern and in an ideal location.Soline sold her city with passion.What a pleasure to spend the day in the city and return to such a beautiful appartment to relax.
As for Bordeaux .Wow. Probably the most elegant city we have ever visited.Food,Wine,sights,what a week.
So do I recommend Bordeaux,You bet I do and you won't find a better or better located appartment.

Beautiful apartment in the centre of Bordeaux, with many, many restaurants and bars within a couple of minutes walk, also the trams not far away, if you want to get to the train station. The apartment had everything you needed and was light and airy, the bedrooms, being at the back were very quite, both with fans to keep you cool on the warmer nights. Soline was extremely helpful, both before and after we arrived. Loved Bordeaux and hopefully will be back one day!

Wir waren Ende Juni für einige Nächte im appartement. Es war einfach toll. Das appartement liegt im Zentrum der altstadt, ein paar Meter vom Place du Parlement entfernt in einer ruhigen Seitenstraße.
Das appartement ist sehr geschmackvoll und hochwertig ausgestattet. Das Bad ist sehr chick und sauber und die beiden Schlafzimmer gemütlich und ruhig. Die Küche war vollständig ausgestattet.
Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt!!!
Wenn man mit dem auto anreist, kann man im Parkhaus C.Julian parken. Allerdings sind die Plätze knapp und teuer (wie in den anderen Parkhäsern auch). -

This apartment, located in the heart of Bordeaux, is absolutely perfect. The city itself is a favorite and this apartment allows you to truly immerse yourself in its glorious beauty. The creamy rose stone of the walls changes the sunlight that filters down into a golden glow bringing the main room to life each day. The bedrooms, both moderately sized, sit at the back of the apartment so that one can always get a wonderful night's sleep. The incredible closet accommodated the clothes of four fashion-conscious women and stands in a common area which allows bedroom sharers the ability to get out of the room while not disturbing others. All of the furniture is comfortable, classic, and fits the space perfectly - we all left wanting a chair just like the leather chaise which we ended up calling the perfect nap chair. The space boasts a washing machine and a large drying rack that was perfect for the four of us (even jeans dry while you're off sightseeing) and the WiFi was a blessing as we searched out the best wineries and directions to our evening's restaurant selection. There are only stairs to access the apartment, but they allow plenty of room for you and your luggage, and I would caution ladies as our incredibly kind neighbor one floor below asked us to leave our heels off while in the apartment. (As a former apartment dweller living below two women, I completely understood!) Everything you might need is within walking distance making a car unnecessary, but public parking in Bordeaux is far more efficient and elegant than the us and renting a car at the train station is quite easy so you can visit the coast, wineries, and nearby attractions.
The apartment owner/manager, Soline, is absolutely lovely and we hope that we left the apartment as we found it! When I return to Bordeaux, I will certainly turn to her, and hopefully, to this very same apartment, as it became home to us over the five days we were there. I can't recommend this location highly enough, but like others, I'm loathe to do so for fear it will be booked when I'm lucky enough to return! -

We were met by Soline on our arrival with keys and local information. Everything is an easy, level walking distance from the property.
The apartment was a delightful surprise. It was modern, spacious, quiet, meticulously clean and comfortable. The property is located on the second floor of a typical, well kept French apartment block with windows facing the street and plenty of natural light.
Centrally located with many, many different types of restaurants in the area. The main shopping area is at the end of the street.
Soline could not have been more helpful and made our stay in Bordeaux a sheer delight. We would not hesitate to recommend this property. -

To start with, the owner is delightful, provided really helpful suggestions and is a great communicator in both English and French. The flat could not be in a better spot, set right in the heart of the best restaurant and cafe area in Bordeaux and with the river a 2-3 minute walk away. Yet its 2nd floor location (not too many stairs) and layout has the bedrooms positioned such that you can still get a quiet night's sleep with the windows open. Tastefully decorated, but not cluttered and with all the amenities we needed, it was always a real pleasure to come home to. My only reservation in recommending it, is that it was so lovely, I want to keep it all to myself! Determined to go back as soon as I can.
Other points of note are that this area of Bordeaux has very restricted car access which makes it lovely to wander about in, and has good underground car parks about a 5 minute walk away (about 23 Euros/24 hours though). There are 'Boris bikes' you can pick up all over the place and a good tram system, If you are into shopping, the main drag is about a 5-10 minute walk away from the flat. I would say the area is perfect for romantic couples, gastronomes, wine lovers and not bad for people with children either, due to the largely pedestrian feel (and there is also a great skatepark, free as far as I could tell, about a 15-20 minute walk away up the river bank. The Sunday market on the river bank was delightful too. We had a simply fabulous time.Response from soline gail - 05/17/2012

Four of my girlfriends and I decided to go to France and made Bordeaux one of our stops. Our only issue was that we had never used vacation rentals before and we were a bit nervous but when we got to 33 Rue du Cancera, Soline was already waiting for us. She was so very kind and helpful. She showed us around the apartment and gave us suggestions for food and a delightful boulangerie down the street.
Our 2nd worry was that the price seemed too good to be true. It was just in our price range yet also right in the middle of the centre ville. We were worried that maybe the pictures weren't telling the whole story but it was the opposite! The apartment was even nicer and more spacious than the pictures made it look. It is extremely clean and very modern. Rue Sainte-Catherine (the major shopping street) is just around the corner as is Place de la Bourse/Miroir de l'eau. Bordeaux is a beautiful city. It's not as touristy as Paris is but at the same time there are good tourist things to do and see. People were also a lot nicer here! We were really glad to have this be our first impression of France.
Everything is generally walkable from the apartment and otherwise, the tram stop is right at Place de la Bourse. This apartment is perfect for families or a small group of friends. Although there is no lift to this 3rd floor apartment, the walk up is really not that bad! I definitely recommend this to anyone unsure about the stay. You will not regret it. If I am ever able to return back to Bordeaux I will strictly only deal with Soline because I know she is trustworthy.

Modern apartment in historical building, very comfortable. Excellent facilities. Free wifi.Great, central location. Small grocery store, restaurants, boulangerie a few steps away. A few minutes to tram stop. Recommend restaurant L'agneau a la braise on the corner. Tourist office has good tours to wineries..St Emilion and area a highlight. 31 euro tours good..no need to spend 80+ euros.Tried both. City tour worthwhile. Climb bell tower..views. Wander the side streets. Recommend four to five nights.

We stayed at the apartment for 4 nights with 2 couples and a 3 month old baby. Would highly recommend it.
Location - Central and animated, but no noise in the bedrooms. A convenient journey from the train station by tram. In the old section of town so restaurants, bars and shopping practically just downstairs.
Interior - a old building with character and modern decoration. Very comfortable for both sitting around and sharing a meal.
Sleep spaces - 1 full bed and 1 queen. The manager also provided a baby pack and play for the 3 month old.
Kitchen - adequately equipped for a rental - enough to create a basic meal for four.
Bathroom - very modern. Good shower.
Building - on the second floor with no elevator but we were able to leave our stroller in the lobby which made things easier.
Others: Washer but no dryer - we didn't use it but nice to know it was there. Internet was easy to use and fast. Television had at least the news channels in English.

We spent 5 lovely days in the apartment in October. The owner was welcoming and accommodating, looked after us and gave great recommendations. Plenty of room in the tastefully decorated spaces. We all enjoyed the lounger. Good restaurants nearby, good buzz and atmosphere without any disturbance. Highly recommended.
