AMHERST COVE SHORELINE BEACH HOUSE : Located on south side of Prince Edward Island in Cape Traverse (Between Borden-Carleton & Victoria-By-The Sea) overlooking Northumberland Strait where the water is the warmest north of the Carolinas, with a view of Confederation Bridge to the right and Belles Point to the left with miles of beach in between. Enjoy a swim or go for a walk or jog. Relax and read, make a sand castle, collect some drift wood for an evening campfire. Hunt for treasures, sand dollars, etc. enjoy the beautiful sunsets. My family and I have stayed twice this summer at this gorgeous beach house, and we all agree that it just feels like home. It has every amenity you would expect, and then some. The house itself is beautiful with high end finishes and the location right on the ocean with a fantastic view of the Confederation Bridge and wonderful stretch of sandy beach just makes it perfect for a relaxing summer get-away. Beautiful patio furniture, hot tub, two fire-pits, horse-shoe pit and playground equipment also add that extra comfort. We look forward to returning!!

We were a group of ten who took a trip as a nice getaway and also to golf in PEI.
The Good:
The house is very nice, spacious, and at a great oceanfront location. Relatively close to both Summerside and Charlottetown.
The Hot Tub is definitely a great perk. The beach area at both low and high tide is spectacular and the sunset views were something else.
The Bad:
I do not believe the owners are accustomed to renting to a group in their late-twenties. It was obvious from the first day that they were distrusting and uneasy that they were renting to "young" people. They had "reasons" to drop by once or a few times per day and always unannounced (Forgotten personal belongings, placing kayaks, mow the lawn, etc). Privacy was at a minimum as they were constantly checking up on us - never once calling ahead.
The husband was very easy-going and friendly, but the wife was not very welcoming as we arrived ,nor did she ask about our trip or wish us safe travels on the day we were leaving. We felt like more of a hindrance than anything. When you are paying over $3000 for a weeklong holiday rental, you expect a certain level of customer service which we did not receive. The service was very disappointing.
I would probably recommend this rental to a small family or an older couple(s) as you would likely be left alone. However the lack of privacy and general uneasiness we felt being there did leave a bitter taste in our mouths. Had I known this is the way this place operated, I would have surely spent our thousands of hard-earned dollars on cottage where we could as least feel comfortable in. -

We had one of the best vacations ever. Great central location and such a great beach house.
Our favorite was the hot tub on the deck in the evenings, overlooking the ocean. Amazing view of the bridge. The beach house was spotless and had lots of space, nice open kitchen and living room. Beautiful tub in master bedroom. The owners were so friendly and ensured we had everything we needed. Perfect for honeymooners, families or a few couples. We will definitely be back!
