We had such a lovely and relaxing stay at Meadowview. What made it a particular winner for us was the combination of luxury accommodation and child friendly facitilities and entertainment for our 15month old son. To not have to bring a car full of toys, cot, changing mat or high chair, as it was all provided, certainly made our lives a lot easier.
The surrounding area is also beautiful and, with so much choice of what to do and where to go, it was great to have Debbie and Roger around who were more than happy to guide us on the most recommended places. Would definitely go back! -

Myself, my partner and two 'kids' (18 and 15) decided on our first UK summer holiday for what we reckon is about 13 years.
And guess what? Yep; we got rained on for six days out of seven! That's the risk you run holidaying at home, I suppose.
We managed to laugh it off and enjoy ourselves regardless, but doing this was made significantly easier by the quality of Meadowview Cottage and the thoughtfulness of our hosts, Roger and Debbie.
The house itself and the gardens were faultless and our every need had been catered for - literally a home from home.
A more comfortable and luxurious stay you couldn't wish for, situated in a beautiful part of the country.
If we were forced to spend a little more time indoors than we had initially planned, I can categorically state that 'Meadowview Cottage' was precisely the place to be. -

The cottage is in an idyllic location. Definitely no passing traffic here, and the only noise is the gentle baa-ring of sheep in the adjacent field. A very warm welcome from Debbie and the cottage was superb. Kitted out to a high spec with all conceivable mod cons provided. Very comfortable and warm. We (parents, two kids and granny) had a great week exploring the Northern part of Cornwall and Meadowview has always a delight to come back to. A great place that we highly recommend.

This stay exceeded our expectations, easily the best self-catering experience we've ever had. The cottage had everything including perfect cleanliness. Very well equipped and very comfortable. There were lots of lovely touches such as the beautiful white fluffy bath robes and towels and a selection of delicious smoked meats/fish which welcomed us on our arrival, also home baked scones with strawberry jam and clotted cream. The garden/grounds were really lovely with views that you wanted to take home with you! There were 6 adults and 1 little one (3yrs) in our party and we were all very happy with the accommodation. This part of Cornwall has so much to offer (even in inclement weather)We were sorry to leave and would extend our thanks to Roger and Debbie for their thoughtfulness and kindness to us. Truly a wonderful week spent in Meadowview Cottage!

This place truly deserves 5*. Immaculate inside and out. Beautiful scenery, very peaceful and relaxing. Great facilities, especially for kids, playstation, plasma tv and childrens play area. Debbie and Roger have thought of everything, after a long drive from Scotland, a cream tea revived us!! It really has everything and is a great base for exploring Cornwall. We were sad to leave!!

After a busy week of sightseeing in London and Bath, Meadowview cottage was the perfect relaxing base in which to explore Cornwall. Being from the New York area, we wanted an escape from our busy lives, a place to decompress and get away from it all, and we found it at Meadowview cottage.
The cottage is located in beautiful Cornwall. The location is tranquil, beautiful, quiet and peaceful. Upon arriving at the cottage, we were immediately met by one of the owners Debbie. We arrived one hour prior to check in and everything was ready to go and Debbie was extremely welcoming. I had ordered online some food shopping to be delivered to the cottage, and everything was unpacked and put in the fridge prior to arrival! Debbie also provided us with a wealth of local knowledge which made our venturing out easier.
As for the cottage, since we were traveling from overseas, I was concerned about luggage and packed light. No worries to be had though because the owners, Debbie and Roger, have honestly thought of everything! From washing powder for the washer to extra napkins, I needn't have worried because it was all provided . Cooking was a pleasure in the kitchen which has every amenity. The accommodation was spotless and very well appointed. The location was very peaceful, overlooking a meadow with grazing sheep. The perfect place to read a book or enjoy a glass of wine, of which we did plenty of both :-) . We ventured out when we had to to the lovely sea side towns of Port William (great pub there recommended by Debbie), Tintangel, and Boscastle. All of the people we encountered in Cornwall were so lovely - friendly and welcoming !
We were traveling with our two daughters, aged 9 and 7. We visited the Trehorne (sp) Leisure Farm which was a nice day out with plenty for the girls to do. We also visited the Tamar Otter Farm which we all also enjoyed. There was just enough to do before wanting to get back to the relaxation the cottage provided.
This was our first time renting a vacation home and we were very pleased. As my daughters said "This place feels just like a home". Debbie and Roger have something special at the cottage - you can tell that it has had a lot of thought, care, hard work and love behind it, and it shows! We will always look back at this week fondly and if any friends or relatives are looking to visit this part of the world, we know exactly where to send them!! -

essexGreat holiday stay with kids
Left on 07/25/2011 for a stay in July 2011
We (2 adults 2 kids, 4 and 7) stayed at Meadowview Cottage for a week and unfortunately brought the weather with us which was bad rainy, windy and gloomy. Despite this the Cottage was fantastic for our needs keeping the kids occupied and ourselves as relaxed as possible, we were able to work in the evenings online with the Wifi and take trips in
the day to the surrounding areas - at first we thought perhaps we had made a mistake not staying nearer to St Ives or Newquay however we soon realised once we visited those areas how packed and commercial they are and living near london we wanted to get away from that which makes Meadowview Cottage an ideal getaway.
Debbie and Roger who own and run the Cottage are fantastic and available if you should need them and were full of good advice on where to go to maximise the time spent on the holiday.
overall i would highly recommend the cottage its amenities and the location as a great value, very well maintained comfortable pleasurable break. -

Debbie and Roger have really thought of everything when they created Meadowview.
You have a BBQ and by magic its all cleaned and replaced by the next morning, you see there is one boogie board for surfing and next minute there are two...
Then there is the cottage itself, it is totally spotless and with all mod-cons (Kids worked out how to watch TV in bed and hence let us have some lie-ins) and according to my Wife its "very tastefully". Location wise its very quiet, the sheep Baa very occasionally (see the photo - they are not normal sheep but really posh ones I think) and there is no traffic around (no tractors) - Dont be fooled by the google earth picture (it must be a few years old), there is no noisy looking farm next door, its the kids play area now. The main road is just 5 minutes drive away then you have access to Bude, Padstow and all the beaches in between (did I mention you also have beach chairs, windbreak, buckets & spades, crab lines...to use as well). -

We have stayed in so many rentals but this one has everything. Just everything. Comfort, cleanliness, well appointed, beautiful location and interior (and exterior) decor, the most helpful and kind managers. There was truly not one thing that I would have changed. If you have a chance to stay here, do not hesitate. It is worth it.

Everything you could possibly wish for in self catering accommodation - and much, much more! Excellent and quiet location (the North Cornish coastline is second to none), beautiful gardens and play area. And a fabulous cottage; private, superbly furnished and equipped, spacious, impeccably clean and a delicious selection of food delights awaiting our arrival. Only downside was having to leave at the end!

Fantastic family holiday. Faultless attention to detail. We plan to return during a warmer season in order to take full advantage of the stunning facilities, including the beautiful gardens. Debbie and Roger offer the warmest of welcomes, and provided our toddler with a bit box of toys and books which she loved.

Left on 09/26/2010 for a stay in April 2010
From our first enquiry we were impressed with everything to do with Meadowview Cottage. Debbie and Roger were really helpful whenever we needed anything. The plasma TV and Playstation went down well with the teenagers, while the sauna was a superb extra for the grown ups. The whole cottage is superbly appointed and having the central heating included made it very cosy. The cream tea, eggs and local produce on arrival are a special touch. There are some lovely walks around the local area, while the coast is only a short drive away. Overall this was a real luxury getaway which gave us a relaxing week in a lovely area. We will definitely be back.

We loved Meadow View Cottage - it was a perfect place to holiday with our children as it is not far from some fantastic Cornish beaches and there is plenty to do locally. The cottage itself is beautifully furbished and Debbie & Roger have thought of everything - they were the perfect hosts and supplied us daily with fresh eggs from their chickens!. The gardens, chlidren's play area, barbecue are all perfect and we would definitely stay there again. We loved it!

The standard of accomodation is fantastic and the owners have thought of everything (and I mean everything) that you could possibly need. The cottage is perfect for young families as it has an outside play area as well as indoor games. It was also perfect for us as we had an older, slightly infirm family member with us. Everything is on one level, there is a walk in shower and most importantly a full sky package. Wireless broadband is also an added bonus. It is a great base to explore Cornwall with the cottage being a perfect 'home' to return to. The owners are friendly and helpful and we will definately return.

Wyncote, PASuperlative Destination!
Left on 09/14/2010 for a stay in June 2010
A beautiful winding country road, leads to a luxurious and perfectly appointed cottage in Trelash, Cornwall. Tucked into a private driveway and entrance, Roger and Deb thought of every detail possible to make this a retreat sumptuous and comfortable, with a touch of elegance. Welcomed with scones, wine and a 'fridge full of smoked fish and local cheeses, Meadowview was brilliantly clean, situated in picturesque setting, (baby lamb born just days before our arrival and they do gambol), accommodations thoughtful, lots of light and warm. High end bathrooms stocked with local soaps, three bedrooms impeccably clean, fabulous kitchen with everything you could want to cook dinner and try out some of the local produce, lamb and chicken (a couple of markets offering locally grown products not far away). Roger and Deb's painstaking renovation is apparent in each corner of the house, from the fireplace to the patio (where you can watch the sheep and grill outdoors), to the sauna and the little walk to the hen house. Deb treated us to fresh eggs (duck and chicken) each morning, inobtrusively leaving them at our door, along with any additional information that we might need for our next day's adventure. We were traveling with our 31 year old son, and he had plenty of space to watch sports and plug into the internet. We took walks through the neighors' fields, ventured to Tintagel for hikes along the magnificent coast, explored the area endlessly and after a week, we wished we had stayed even longer. We are fans of the British series "Doc Martin" and Deb helped us find all the various shooting locations, as well. This spot is a jewel, not to be missed.
