Atlanta, GeorgiaVery quite yet minutes from an area rich with shops, restaurants
Left on 04/14/2013 for a stay in April 2013
My daughter and I felt like we lucked out with our choice of La Cappella Suites for our first visit to Boston. It is a charming home in a very quite area of North Boston yet it is only minutes from The Freedom Trail and an area rich with shops, restaurants , bars and historical sites.
We walked to everything and loved having the comfort of our suite to return to. Our beds and bath were fresh and clean and attended to daily. The common area on our floor was very spacious with a nice view from the balcony and the refrigerator was stocked with breakfast items and fresh fruit.
We just loved the location and the freedom we felt coming and going day or night. -

Left on 12/27/2011 for a stay in December 2011
We had a two day get away and couldn't have picked a more convenient and charming spot. A fully equipped and well stocked kitchen was at our disposal. The views from that and our room made us feel as though we were in Europe. We chose the 5th floor walkup purposely and it kept us out and about the lovely neighborhood longer! The bed comfortable and the room had all we needed. Comfortable chair, desk, bench and a giant mirror which was beautiful and functional. Rooms are keypad entry, so no need to carry extra stuff. We could leave our belongings in the vestibule for a full day of checkin and the day we left. It made our journey so much easier.
Worth the trip, can't wait to go back. Convenient to the harborwalk and the warmer months will give us even more to explore. -

Left on 11/04/2011 for a stay in October 2011
Easy walking distance to dozens of great restaurants, Quincy Market, Boston Common. the Waterfront and on and on. Clean, nicely furnished, with well stocked self serve breakfast facilities. Well managed by friendly and helpful owners. Up to a 5 story walkup so don't book the top floor if you aren't up to it. We will stay there again.

Left on 09/12/2011 for a stay in August 2011
We rented the entire 4th floor for two couples and it was perfect. We took the water taxi over from Logan and it was literally a 5 minute walk. We arrived early and were able to secure our luggage and begin our day. The location was perfect and we were thrilled ot be within walking distance to everything. Paul Revere's house is right around the corner and Mike's Pastry was a 2 minute walk.
The condos were clean and perfect. The morning breakfast choices were just what we needed. We enjoyed the balcony for a bottle of wine after dinner and couldn't have asked for better accomodations.
The group has already decided that when we come back to Boston, we will be staying at La Cappella Suites again! -

Milwaukee, WisconsinGreat suite, great location!
Left on 09/08/2011 for a stay in July 2011
We had a great time in Boston and staying at La Capella Suites was a big part of that. My husband and I traveled with our 13 year old and our married daughter and her husband. The layout of the suite was perfect for our needs. We had the king room and Tricia provided a very nice blow-up bed for our younger daughter. Our other daughter and her husband stayed in the Queen room. We each had our own bathroom and we shared the kitchen, which made a great gathering place for eating breakfast and discussing our day. The location is perfect being in the "little Italy" neighborhood...great restaurants and bakeries within walking distance.
We were able to walk to public transportation. We parked our car the 1st day and didn't need it again until we left. We enjoyed using the Old Town Trolley for sight seeing and also as our transportation for 2 days because you can get off and on as much as needed.
Tricia and her staff were very helpful when we needed help with directions, restaurant recommendations, a computer printer, and info on use of the subway. I would definitely recommend the suites to anyone. Note: we were on the 5th floor and walked up and down each day. If that is a problem, ask for a lower floor. We enjoyed the exercise and challenge! -

Ideal location & amenities
Left on 07/07/2011 for a stay in June 2011
Vacationed in Boston with another couple prior to cruise. We occupied the 4th floor each having our own bedrooms and bathrooms with a common room/kitchen supplied with continental breakfast foods. The accommodations were ideal, allowing us to visit and plan our outings. Truely our own little apartment. Tricia was most helpful with suggestions, as well as, allowing us to park our luggage in the foyer before check in and check out. She was a most hospitable and gracious host. The location was perfect, walking to all sites and a glorious array of restraurants in the "Little Italy" part of North End Boston.

Left on 05/20/2011 for a stay in July 2010
The location was great. Easy to get to everything we wanted to see. The check-in/out process was simple. It was cute and quant. No bells and whistles, but ideal in the fact that it was quiet and we were able to keep our bags there after checking out. We found it to be very convenient and that's what we were looking for.

Left on 05/13/2011 for a stay in April 2011
La Capella Suites is in an ideal vacation for those who want to be a part of Boston while they visit it. It's in the North End and you can walk to the aquarium, the lakefront, all the trolley tours, the subway, little grocery stores, everything. You can also grab some great Italian food and walk down the cobblestone streets to the old churches.
Inside we stayed on the 5th floor, we had our two children with us (ages 6 and 3) and we were able to fit a blow-up queen size mattress on the floor of our bedroom. The attached kitchen was ideal for breakfast, bagels and fruit, so much easier than having to run out for something to eat. Check-in and check-out are seamless (nothing to do!) Highly recommend it. -

Left on 11/18/2010 for a stay in October 2010
My wife and I spent our week long honeymoon in New England in October and ending in Boston. La Capella Suites was our last stop and it was a great place to end a wonderful trip. We absolutely loved the location for exploring the historical sites and the energetic North End on foot. The room was quiet, comfortable and very well appointed...right in the middle of a vibrant Italian neighborhood with tremendous restaurants and bakeries. We would stay there again in a heartbeat.

Left on 11/16/2010 for a stay in November 2010
Upon our arrival, the only person there was the handyman. We knew the owner of the B & B was not going to be present that weekend, though. We just sort of expected someone there in her place. The room was comfortable with a balcony that had nice views. It was the breakfast that brought this review down! I would call it a "white bread breakfast." It was self-service, but the choices were limited. With Haymarket so close, you would think there would be some fresh fruit, etc., in the frig. But the only fruit available was some very ripe bananas. Talking about bananas, the only yogurt in the frig was either banana yogurt or a combination with banana. I hate bananas! The lenders bagels/english muffins were no treat either. It seemed like I was back in grade school, eating rice krispies out of a small box. The frozen waffles/pancakes were no treat at all...at least provide some whole grain or multi-grain varieties. And you call this a Bed and Breakfast!!!??? Again, I knew it was going to be self-service, but the choices of food were unacceptable.
When we travel, we always stay at a B & B because of its warmth, personal service and comradship with the other guests. Unfortunately, none of the above existed at La Cappella Suites. -

My husband and I stayed at LaCapella for four nights recently, I had booked over the internet from australia and we were not disappointed. Fantastic location, lots of eateries to suit any budget. Having access to washing machine and dryer was a bonus. Kitchen area was great and a good place to catch up with other guests and have a chat. Will recommend to our friends in australia.

We stayed in the King suite on the fifth floor. The room, kitchen and hallways were very clean and inviting after a long walk across town from our previous hotel (and up the stairs).
Check in was easy. We didn't need to interact with the staff at all, which is fine with us. Others may prefer a B&B; where there is a lot of interaction with the hosts or other guests. Since each floor has its own kitchen, you will only be able to interact with guests from one other room.
If we had booked sooner we would have been able to stay at La Capella for our entire stay, and it would have been a lot cheaper than a hotel. The location is excellent for eating, close to a large number of Italian restaurants and bakeries. For our serve-yourself breakfast we made coffee, Tropicana orange juice, yoghurt, and pancakes. Also, a computer on our floor made it very convenient for planning our day.
The only reason I give it 4/5 for service is because some B&Bs; will cook a hot breakfast for you. -

Fran and I were delighted by the wonderfully comfortable accomodations. The suites are sooo centrally located! Going anywhere was very convenient and just a few blocks from my duaghter's place. Food and refreshments were ample, but realyy, there's so much out in the neighborhood, there's really no room for eating in. Next time up we're staying at the La Capppella Suites!

Left on 10/24/2010 for a stay in October 2010
The place was so cute and quaint! From start to finish, everything was so easy. The check-in directions were great and we didn't have to depend on anyone being there for us or worrying about being there at a certain time. The view was incredibly beautiful. It was quiet and very clean. We especially liked the common kitchen are. It made it very east to grab breakfast and get out sightseeing. They even had a computer so we could log on and check in for our flight 24 hours before. Everything we wanted to see was within walking distance. And if it wasn't, the "Charlie" was within walking distance so we jumped on there and went wherever we wanted to go. Our flight left after check out time on the last day and they had no problems keeping our luggage so we could get in that last minute sightseeing. We would recommend La Cappella to our friends and family! Thank you for a great stay.

Best neighborhood from which to tour and experience the real Boston. The Italian North End. Great restaurants just blocks away. Freedom Trail just around the corner. Best rooms are 3-4-5 but are each a hike up stairs (no elevator).
Normal self-serve cold breakfast and toaster oven stuff. Nothing special. -

Baltimore, MDA Nice Convenient place to stay
Left on 10/14/2010 for a stay in September 2010
I stayed on the top floor in the "Messina Room." The room was bright, surrounded in windows and had french doors that opened up to a small private terrace. I thought the room was very clean, although a little small, but thats all we needed anyway. Our personal bathroom was not in our room, but in the common area of the floor. the bathroom was very small but clean. The only real negative was that our room door was adjacent to the common area kitchen, so any sound from there would be heard in our room, which made sleeping in very tough. The breakfast food, which only consisted of self serve cereal and frozen waffles, was okay for us and suited its purpose. However, i was expecting a table downstairs for daily pastries or something, but there was nothing. Overall, i liked the place due to its great location, minutes away from anything, and i was impressed by how well kept the place was.

Left on 10/11/2010 for a stay in October 2010
Floors 4 and 5 were lovely, modern and clean and our bed was just so comfortable (Back bedroom, floor 4). Although we didn't see Tricia much we knew how to get her at any time, but armed with our maps and information we managed pretty well ourselves. La Cappella Suites was in a great position with the Italian district and a lot of wonderful restaurants a short walk away, and the rest of Boston was only a stroll away.
I have one suggestion - Tricia has a limit of 10p.m. for the use of the kitchen at the end of the day, but what about the beginning of the day? We were woken up at 5.30a.m. for the first 2 mornings which is a little too early when you are on vacation. Could I suggest 7a.m. unless another guest really can fetch things very quietly. Using the kettle or the coffeemaker is too noisy before 7.

The location in the North End of Boston is great - it is just one street away from Hanover Street which is full of Italian restaurants and bakeries serving excellent food and with a great buzz in the area every night. It's really close to most parts of central Boston. The hotel itself was very nice. I stayed on the second floor which didn't have breakfast or a balcony, but had two comfy beds and a separate living room with fridge, kettle, etc. It was nice to stay in an individual hotel rather than the usual corporate ones.

It was not our first time in Boston and not our first time at La Cappella Suites. The first time we had the Palermo Room on the 4th floor and it was perfect! This time we chose the 2nd floor suite and also this one is great and even a little cheaper! One thing to remenber if you are going to choose this room: there is no access to kitchen facilities so breakfast is not included but they provide coffee and Mike's Pastry is just around the corner, so what's the problem??
La Cappella Suites Bed and Breakfast?? For us it is a guarantee for an unforgettable stay in Boston!
Thanks Tricia!

La Capella is conveniently located within walking distance of Downtown locations and in the wonderful Old North End. Tricia was helpful with accommodating our extra luggage for our daughter's relocation to college while we spent a couple of days in Boston prior to the start of school. Wonderful memories and shared some nice breakfast time with a young couple from Montreal. Just what we were looking for in a B & B.

LaCappella's location is in the heart of the North End which makes it a convenient for everything. The rooms are clean and I love the serve yourself breakfast option although we only needed coffee. (:!
The only inconvenience was when our pass code didn't work and we had to get a new one at 11:30 p.m.! We were so tired and waiting to get a new one to get into our room was not fun. -

There is nothing like stepping out LaCapella's front door and flowing into the rapids of Boston. Everything is at your fingertips when you stay in this delightfully accessible B&B; in the North End. Breakfast is well supplied for do-it-yourselfers. Quiet, dependable. I even love the exercise that comes with a five floor walkup. It's good for you. Make this your stop when in Beantown, and you can consume all the calories you want at the great Italian restaurants on Hannover St.

We loved staying here in the heart of the North End, and all the information Tricia sent us was helpful and accurate. It worked great to leave our car for several days at a nearby lot. Our room was comfortable, and the balcony was lovely. Guests staying on the 5th floor need to be able-bodied and able to climb five flights of stairs. It helped work off the amazing Italian food we enjoyed minutes from our door!
