    Additional Location Information

The North End is the Italian district of Boston. It's located in the heart of the city and is a safe and fun neighborhood. It's one of the oldest parts of the city and is littered with great restaurants, coffee shops, Italian markets and long time locals and tourists alike. Almost everything you need is in walking distance in what we like to consider the coolest neighborhood in Boston.

Perfect holiday apartment in a great location

Left on 10/11/2012 for a stay in October 2012

It was a lovely experience communicating with both Vanessa and Kristin to arrange our 4 nights accommodation in the apartment in Prince Street. They both went out of their way to be helpful and especially in arranging to let us into the apartment on the evening we flew into Boston. The location is superb, the North End area is amazing and the apartment was extremely comfortable and suited our needs perfectly.

      Perfect Location...Incredible Place to Stay!

Left on 09/12/2012 for a stay in July 2012

I cannot imagine a better place to stay in Boston. The condo is amazing. Check in and check out was very easy. Vanessa was helpful and made sure everything went smoothly. The furnishings and appliances are great, the beds and futon were more comfortable that what we have at home and the entire condo is immaculately clean. The building is quiet and family friendly. The laundry room is conveniently located just outside the door on the garden level. I wish we had more time to enjoy the rooftop which has phenomenal views of the Boston skyline as well as the U.S.S. Constitution and North Church! Amazing! The North End Italian neighborhood itself is one of the best things about the condo, we absolutely loved it! Coming from small town Minnesota, my family felt comfortable and safe our entire stay. The North End literally seemed to be the center of everything we as tourists wanted to see. We could literally walk 15-20 minutes (or less) to get to the aquarium, Science Museum, U.S.S. Constitution, Boston Common, etc. The red brick path of the Freedom Trail was literally less than a half of a block away. We were also about a 5 minute walk from the T stop, which we conveniently took to Fenway and the Samuel adams Brewery. Every morning I took a walk with one of our kids to explore the neighborhood and get a cappaccinno (Caffé Vittoria and Caffé Paradiso were fantastic). My 5 year old son was amazed to hear Italian being spoken everywhere we went. My favorite bakery by far is a hidden gem just a few blocks from the condo on Prince St. called Bova's. The best éclairs I have ever had combined with great service (our kids were given sugar cookies by the grandmother behind the counter). As you walk around the neighborhood if you are observant you will recognize several streets and buildings from the movie "The Town", which is a fun bonus. I hope this condo is still available on our next trip.

Great Experience in the North End

Left on 08/20/2012 for a stay in August 2012

Great Location in the North End - not far from T stop and close to many great restaurants. Condo is very nice. Stayed here with family and there was plenty of space. Loved the deck on the rooftop - although we never had time to use it.
Kristen and Vanessa were very accomadating and even shipped some pants back to us(free of charge)that we had forgot in the condo. Overall an excellent place to stay in a great location in Boston. We will definitely try to stay here next time we get back to Boston.

This apartment is fantastic for families or larger parties due to the two levels and ample space. Very clean and neat - updated - about one minute from the Freedom Trail and close to excellent restaurants and bakeries. We would definitely stay here again!

Really nice, confortable and spacious apartment. Location in the North End is prefect, lots of restaurants/cafes/bakeries/gelatarias/pizzarias nearby and its only a 5 minute walk from the nearest T station, so very convenient for getting around Boston. Had a great stay.

      Fully Stocked & Conveniently Located

Left on 11/04/2010 for a stay in October 2010

This condo was close to everything. It was about a 10 or 15 minute cab ride from the airport. We bought subway passes for the week which enabled us to go wherever and whenever we wanted. The walk to the subway station was about 5 minutes and the TD Gardens was across from the subway station. We were 2 subway stops to the Cambridgeside Galleria Mall, one stop to the Museum of Science, 3 stops to Boston Commons and we could walk to Faneuil Hall. We are a family of 6 and there was plenty of space for us to relax. The condo had everything we might need. It was within walking distance to the most amazing pastry shops, one of which was open 24 hours. We plan to stay here again!

      Wonderful

Left on 09/09/2010 for a stay in August 2010

This was our first time using a vacation rental as opposed to a hotel and I couldn't be happier. The old saying "location, location, location" really applies to this condo. Right in the heart of the North End of Boston. Bakeries and Restaurants within walking distance for the laziest of us (Don't miss Pizzaria Regina for the best pizza ever). The aquarium and Fanueil Hall are within walking distance for the more energetic folks and the subway is very convenient for those of us too stuffed with pizza and baked goods to walk. Staying at this condo was a great chance to be a part of the neighborhood. Space enough that we weren't tripping over each other. The process was very easy. I highly recommend it.

Shh! Don't tell anybody about this place...!

Left on 08/26/2010 for a stay in August 2010

If I tell you about this condo, will you promise not to rent it when I want it? It's a lovely, well-appointed property with both a patio and a roof deck (with a fantastic view.) The beds and the futon are comfy. The appliances and furnishings are top-notch. Even the books and movies are intriguing. The building is quiet and happens to be located across the street from where the Brinks Robbery occurred in 1950. Location, location, location: Anywhere you want to go starts at North Station, less than three blocks away, and the best of the Italian North End is all around you. You can be standing at the waterfront in less than 10 minutes of walking time. And, if your evening needs to end with a decaf espresso or a sambuca, you're only blocks away from both -- just throw on a sweater and go!

I brought my parents to show off Boston to them. The two story condo was perfect for us because it gave me and my folks our own personal space. The biggest selling point is the location. Within walking distance, we were able to hit all the major sites along the Freedom Trail. Great rooftop deck. Love Pizzaria Regina - two blocks away. Overall - this is a comfortable home away from home.

My family, including two teenagers, spent 4 nights here while we toured area colleges and enjoyed some vacation in Boston. The apartment was very clean, had all amenities - even rooftop deck! Only 30 minutes from apt. to Logan via T and that included walking to North Station. We highly recommend staying here.

Easily took the "T" from Logan Int. to North Station and walked to 156 Prince Street. Walked to Quincy Market, The Old North Church, The aquarium and thru the heart of the North End on seperate excursions. Jumped on the "T" to attend the Red Sox game. Great location.
There were 2 couples and the privacy and comfort were outstanding. The locals were friendly, fun and helpful. The local restaurants and bars exhibited good quality and affordable pricing. This is a true Boston neighborhood experience and it is fun.

We just returned from a five day stay at the condo on Prince Street. Everything was great. The facility was just what we were looking for, the location was so convenient, and the North End is so charming. Oh, and the beds are so comfortable. Our party consisted of 2 couples which made the 2 bedroom / 2 bath setup just perfect. Working with Vanessa and TJ was extremely easy. I highly recommend this condo and its perfect location right on the Freedom Trail. We will certainly stay again given the opportunity. Everything happened just like they said it would. There were no surprises and that is very comforting when you travel. Well done folks, thank you for a great vacation.

The location of this condo is great. You are a short walk to wonderful restaurants and the life of the North End. It is an easy cab ride to and from the airport, as well as a short walk to the T. The little patio is a pleasant space to sit outside. This easily sleeps six people.

      Fabulous!

Left on 04/15/2010 for a stay in April 2010

If you want to immerse yourself with the locals than this is the place to stay. We stayed here for 4 nights and it was fantastic. The apt is in excellent condition and we couldn't have wanted for better. We both had our own rooms (double beds) and bathrooms (which is a must for me, although the lights in the upper bathroom didnt work, seemingly the outlet just needed to be reset, but we managed!). The kitchen has all the amenities you could want in a kitchen and the living area has a big flat screen TV with surround sound. Also table & chairs for dining. It is within walking distance to everything; T line, local shops, bars (Corner Cafe, great place to meet the locals) & restaurants, Quincy Market, Fanueil Hall and the waterfront. It is less than 15mins in a taxi to the airport and you can hail a taxi just round the corner. I agree with the other reviews, you dont need to stay in a hotel when you have accommodation like this. We will definitey be back and we highly recommend staying here.

A little bit of Italy right in the middle of Boston

Left on 04/12/2010 for a stay in March 2010

We stayed at this great North End apartment for 4 nights at the end of March. The apartment is right in the middle of the Italian north end and actually had a feel of being in Italy. The apartment was very roomy and clean, upstairs had a large master bedroom, living room and a small kitchen. Downstairs my two daughters had a large open area with a bed and a futon. Location was walking distance to everything on Freedom Trail. Subway "T" was close by for further away places like Harvard, BU and Fenway. Down the street is a small local resturant called Dino's, not much to look at but great food. Regina's is the place to go for Pizza. All in all don't know why anyone would stay in hotel.

We stayed here in early November and from the very start our stay was perfect. The apartment was in pristine condition and located ideally just a few short minutes from Faneuil hall and the Quincy market. We couldn't have asked for more in terms of the amenities, it was as good as any hotel I've stayed in. As for the negatives, there were none.

Great location in the best neighborhood!

Left on 10/15/2009 for a stay in October 2009

The North End of Boston is just so much fun, and this condo puts you right in
the middle of the fun while giving you a quiet retreat at the same time...
Definitely consider going on the walking tour of the neighborhood. The condo
is perfect for 2 couples... giving them both the privacy of their own floor, but it
would also work for a family with the double futon in the lower suite. Being on
the first floor was so convenient, as was the laundry room right off the lower
suite. The only suggestion to the owner would be to add more hooks in the
upper bathroom. We stayed in the bedroom on the main floor and found the
bed to be especially comfortable. Yes, we will return!

Wow were we pleased at this great place in Boston. There were 2 couples and having two bedrooms & two baths with all the other amenties was much better than any hotel. The place is very clean and the pictures don't do it justice. The location is the best-the 'T'(subway) is a short 5 min walk, you are right on the Freedom Trail, TD Garden (Celtic & Bruins) is just around the corner. Never having been to Boston, we were concerned about areas to stay in -- the North End is where you want to be with close access to everything! The neighborhood felt safe & the apartment was quiet too. Great communication and easy transaction with the owner/manager. All of us would highly recommend this great place for couples or families as there is plenty of room!!

      Great location!!!

Left on 09/18/2009 for a stay in September 2009

We are a family of 4 with 2 teenage kids and rented the apartment at 156 Prince Street in the North end. The house was clean and while we used the upstairs bedroom, the kids used the large bedroom downstairs. Laundry facilities were just outside the downstairs room, so that was v.convenient. The apartment is also on the ground floor which means we did not have to lug our heavy bags up any stairs. It is difficult to find parking on the street outside the builing but there is a paid parking lot just across from it. The location couldn't have been better. We were walking distance to the tube, the restaurants, shopping at quincy market etc. Each evening we enjoyed good Italian food (our favourite takeaway was from Dino's - just down the road) or feasted on lobsters at the Seafood Legal restaurant. There are only 2 things that I would like to bring attention to: 1. The futon in the downstairs bedroom is broken and needs to be fixed 2. It would be nice if a listing with directions to the nearest grocery/supermarket, bank ATM is left in the apartment. We arrived late evening and were stranded as to where to go to purchase immediate provisions like food and drink for breakfast etc. Helpful Bostonians guided us to the nearest wholefoods store (20 mins walk from the apartment) and the next day we also found a small grocery 5 mins down the road from us.

We apologize regarding the futon. We have identified the issue and have replaced the futon with a brand new frame. This should not be an issue moving forward.

We also discovered the DVD player was malfunctioning and replaced it with a new DVD player with HDMI up-conversion for a sharper picture.

There is an ATM right round the corner from the condo (under 2 minute walk) and a grocery store on the corner of Lewis and Commercial Street called the Golden Goose, which is about a 5 minute walk from the unit. We will leave directions for future guests!

Left on 05/22/2009 for a stay in July 2007

My parents wanted to spend their birthdays in Boston bc they've never been and we decided to rent a space rather than stay at a hotel. I've rented vacation rentals before for myself, but i wasn't sure how my parents would fare (they're very particular about where they stay). It turned out fantastic! They would very impressed with the accommodations. They stayed in the main room, my sister and I shared in the huge downstairs room, and my boyfriend got to stay in sofa city! hehehe (my only criticism was at the time we were there - which was 2 years ago so it i doubt that it's a recurring problem - an upstairs neighbor decided to move furniture around late at night). The condo was close to stores, restaurants and public transportation! I fell in love with the city and if ever come back, i would definitely stay here again.
