The 30' living/bedroom has restored period moldings, hardwood floors, large windows, a large sisal woven area rug, and a decorative fireplace. The suite is furnished to a high standard with nice touches and lots of space. We arrived early and had no problem checking in early. Murrey called by later in person to check that everything was OK which was appreciated. I would recommend this to anyone staying in Boston as it is close to all transport links at Central Square and a nice walking distance to Harvard Square. It is such a nice change to a chain hotel and far more comfortable. There is a good size kitchen which would be very useful had we been staying longer. It is priced very competitively for Boston.

The Murhouse Suite was perfect for our purposes. The owner was friendly and accommodating. We enjoyed having the porch - great in nice weather. The apartment was nicely appointed and updated. Location was important to us and it proved to be just right for all our activities. We loved the apartment's charm, but the bed may be an issue for some guests. It is mentioned in the description, so full disclosure. We will return to this property.

The appartment was nice and clean. We loves the neighbourhood in Cambridge. It is easy to reach by the Boston subway (Harvard or Central).

Lovely, spacious accommodations, more like a studio apartment, thoughtfully outfitted to be staying at a (good) friend's place. Deck was lovely addition. Murray's a cheerful host full of good information. Highly recommended.

Excelent and comfortable. The only surprise was the price, we booked for 180 and we paid 230, nothing to do about, maybe we did not understood the previous conditions.

Just to clarify … The base rate for this room in the summer is $180/night for two people, with a surcharge of $25 for each additional adult. This is clearly stated on our web site and on the confirmation the guest received before his arrival. This particular reservation was for four adults, which brought the total to $230/night.

I was looking for a place to stay after a conference for a few days to see Cambridge and Boston. If I had booked earlier I would have stayed here the whole time.
You get your own first floor apartment in a large traditional house in the centre of Cambridge. Including a kitchen, private bathroom, WiFi, TV etc. A parking space is also provided which is essential if you drive.
My only complaint is for those much over 6ft tall, the four poster bed might be a little on the short side! Otherwise an excellent location to see Cambridge, and the subway into Boston is only a 5 minute walk. The owner is very helpful and had no problem arranging arrival/departure times to suit.
A very welcome change after 2 soulless hotels Both of which were much more expensive! -

this location is within walking distance of Harvard and a little further gets you to a convenient T-stop and restaurants (try Rendezvous). The facility is set up for a longer stay then we had but we enjoyed having a kitchen with plates, glassware etc. Our criticisms are small ones... a real carpet in the sitting area would be nice; comfy chairs instead of the more commercial side chairs would be an improvement also. Murray was a gracious host even when we arrived earlier than we had thought and even tho' I had not read all the instructions for entering before arrival.
