It was better than we had anticipated, quiet, clean, roomy (loved having the other half bathroom) modern terrific kitchen w/ all necessary equipment and little extras...shower great...lots of hot water good pressure...we just had a great stay.. One thing though ...you need a light when you come home at night to go up stairs to see lock...loved the fact it was a combination not a key...also when we needed help by text someone was always available...Internet worked well as did tv...get the parking space it is worth it, thank you!!

The location was good for us, it was late fall and we did not suffer any heat, it might get a bit too hot during summer though. The apartment was clean and very functional we also got a baby crib which resulted very usegul indeed as we were travelling with kids and one baby girl aged 1 year. Two spots, light in the alley was broken and that made quite dangerous use of the side stairs entrance plus the sinkerator in the kitchen did not work. Apart from that I would reccomend it, neighborhood is quiet and full of restaurants, it is walkable distance from PRU and newbury and all the back bay area.

Easy to find. Near bus lines. Not far from metro. Good start point to visit downtown, Back Bay, Fenway or Cambridge.
We were 5 persons and we can accomodate easily for sleeping and eating breakfast. Could be a little small as kitchen for other meals.
Well furnished with linen and kitchen.
Everything was working fine for us.
Well situated in a beautiful small street with reserved parking at rear. So we just drop the car there and visit with transportation.
A good four stars

Short Term Rentals Boston was very easy to work with. The apartment is centrally located in a great up and coming hip neighborhood. Subway stations and bus stops are right around the corner. Two of my favorite Boston restaurants, Toro and Coppa, are within walking distance.
The only complaint I have is that they didn't mention the washer/dryer were out of order. I bought detergent to do my laundry and then found out it has been broken for a week. I ended up walking 6 blocks to a nearby laundromat.

Unit appears to have been recently remodeled. Kitchen is well stocked for cooking. Lots of restaurants within walking distance. Only gripes we had were the thin walls (hear everything from outside and other units), parking "spots" ($25/night and no way all 3 could be used at the same time...alley too narrow), no tv's in bedrooms, and w/d wasn't working.

I enjoyed my one week stay in this E. Springfield St. apartment. The location is great with easy access to silver line buses, and orange line and green line trains. The apartment has an updated kitchen and is fully stocked with cooking utensils and dinnerware. There are some nice restaurants in the neighborhood, but the great thing about Boston is that just about everything is within walking distance. We even made a couple of trips to the Back Bay and the Charles River in the evening and enjoyed the walk.
We were there in September and the weather was beautiful. As noted in other reviews, there is only one air conditioner and heat would be an issue in midsummer. It would never be enough to cool the whole apartment. Also, as noted below, the washer/dryer unit is not working. That feature should really be removed from the listing if they aren't able to get it fixed. I rented one of the parking spots in the rear of the building which was handy but we didn't need the car much as we usually walked. However, it's a tight squeeze back there and it must be a challenge when the snow flies.
Overall, the unit was clean, comfortable, and ideally located. We would rent there again if we were looking for a place to stay in Boston.

We stayed in the apartment during our family holidays in Boston for 10 days. The apartment was nice; it is exactly like in the pictures.
For the check in we received instructions with codes for the doors and all the process was smooth.
The area is convenient: buses very close, supermarkets are close too, and there are several restaurants around (but most of them pretty expensive). But it is not at a walking distance to downtown.
Linen and towels were included for all the guests.
As mentioned in other comments, the washing machine which is in front of the apartment is not working. Once communicated to the property manager, he informed us that we could use a different one which was in another floor.
It was not extremely hot during our stay, so we could sleep with the windows closed. Otherwise it is true what is mentioned in other comments, the small aC unit is not enough to keep the apartment cold and it was too noisy with the windows open.

Rented this unit for 4 nights in early august. Got lucky on the weather as it was cool. Had we been there 2 weeks earlier during a heat wave, it would have been miserable. The one aC window unit would have been of little help. Tv had local stations only-no cable hence no Espn which my boys missed. The equipment was there but not even basic cable available. This was supposed to be in the process of being addressed??? The unit was good enough for 4 guys overall, but our wives would have been disappointed with the condition of the furniture and appointments. The location is very good being 1 block from the T (if you don't mind using public transportation which we didn't), but not really walkable to tourist attractions. Overall good value, good location, but keep expectations in check.

When we arrived, we discovered that there is absolutely no parking of any kind available within at least a mile of this property. I texted the manager and he suggested renting one of their spaces behind the building for an additional $25/ night. We had not choice but to do so. If you decide to do this, bring a small vehicle. The spaces are incredibly small and encroach on a very narrow drive that is behind the row of adjacent buildings.
The apartment itself is clean and modern, but the rooms are much smaller than they appear on the website. There was one set of towels in the bathroom, so I texted the manager again, asking for more towels. (we informed them in advance that there were 4 of us coming) It took him until the next morning to respond.
The neighborhood is described as eclectic, but is in fact only moderately safe, and we did not feel safe walking to a restaurant after dark. Boston Medical Center is at the end of the block, so you will hear sirens all night long. Many of the local residents hang out on their porches talking and drinking until 2 or 3 in the morning, and you cannot close your windows because there is no air conditioning in the apartment. There is also a great deal of construction along the street and in the back alley that starts very early in the morning.
Bottom line- the apartment itself could be alright, because it is close to Boston attraction and clean, but the noise and the neighborhood make it virtually impossible to get any sleep.

This condo was great in terms of the space it had for our family of 5. There were a couple things I was not happy about with our stay...when we arrived there weren't enough towels for all of us, so a call call to the building manager satisfied that need.
The sound would not work on the t.v., which was fine since we weren't in Boston to watch t.v., but after the third day (and after numerous text messages) the building manager came by to take a look and fixed that dilemma.
The hardest thing to deal with was the fact that it was terribly hot while we were in Boston and there was only one air condition window unit in the back bedroom. Not the family room, (as one description listed) and it did not provide cool air to the other two bedrooms, which are in the front of the unit. (Two fans were there to move around, but again, it made it very uncomfortable during the night.)
The washer/dryer combo unit does not work. Another guest had this in a review and I guess they did not fix it. (Don't plan on doing any wash.)
There are a bunch of great restaurants in south end (Toro is around the corner and was always packed) and Flour bakery was our favorite.
The condo itself is comfortable and the kitchen is great for a night to eat in. The street itself is very quiet. It was easy to catch the bus for where we wanted to go.

A renovated spacious apt with comfy beds and pillows, a full kitchen with new appliances, clean/modern bathrooms. Apt was in quiet building in a convenient location -- we were able to walk to many activities, lots of restaurants, shopping nearby. Very convenient for transit. Two negatives: very limited cable (which was a major nuisance for my news/sports-minded husband) and the washer/dryer were not working. We did, however, find a wonderful bakery (South End Buttery) next to the place we took our laundry. When I discovered I left my favorite shoes behind, they offered to send them to me.
