The house itself was a little tired in places but it's the view that you are paying for at this house and it's so worth it. Never tired of looking out the picture window over the lake - fabulous. Hot tub enjoyed by all and the gardens kept the kids entertained for hours.
Highlight was hiring a boat for a few days - great fun.
We are delighted you enjoyed the views this property has to offer and the hot tub provided.
Lakes Cottage Holidays hopes to welcome you back to Lowther Beeches or another Lakes Cottage Holiday property in the future.

Very good service from lakes cottages, and a very clean cottage welcomed us.
Every thing in place and useable as described . Bowness is easily accessible (especially by boat which we hired for the week from the waterfront in bowness). Weather wasn't as good as the reports from home, but that is only to be expected I suppose in the Lake District however it didn't spoil our holiday, it would have been nice if the pool had been heated as I don't feel we got the use of it because of the cooler weather. The property was nice but could do with some TLC with the decorating in the original part of the house, the kitchen and upstairs was all very nicely done, and the gardens were beautiful.
First impression was, amazing view & can't wait to get my camera out. Even on a dull day I enjoyed it. Peace and quiet is what I needed & that's what I got. The house was clean & the bedding smelt fresh and clean, unfortunately double beds & kingsize beds down stairs where very hard & uncomfortable as was sofa's & very low to get in & out of, especially if you're old or disabled. If it wasn't for that it would have got excellent rating. Hot Tub was used and loved most days, a must have.

This a a beautiful cottage with amazing views. The boat house at the bottom of the garden was our favourite thing as we hired a boat and kept it there at night. The grounds, swimming pool and hot tub also amazing. Fantastic holiday and it is affordable if a few people go.
Great house in a stunning location with breath taking views. The pool and hot tub are great, although it would nicer if the pool was heated. An extra fridge in the utility room would also be useful. It is remote so be prepared to use the car if you need to shop etc. Otherwise, there is no need to move from the house. The road is busy, so we never tried walking from the house. There is a pavement on the road towards Bowness further down but I wouldn't recommend chancing the road. The Beech Hill hotel is also close towards Newby Bridge but again we never chanced walking along the road.

The Weather was against us and we had to abandon our car a few miles from Windermere with little hope of reaching our destination due to the heavy snow... but we hadn't factored in the tenacity of the Property Manager Michelle , who was absolutely outstanding.
Of course we had to be patient and flexible but somehow she commandeered an enthusiastic local lad with a 4x4 and with a great sense of adventure , tenacity and good humour we managed to get there via a Tescos stop off ... what an experience .
And what a wonderful property too . We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and although parents never made it in the end we had an absolutely superb time and are already planning a weekend next year ( perhaps outside the snow season ) although this made it all the more memorable.
The location was spectacular and we would have no hesitation in recommending this to friends ... and once again a massive thankyou to Michelle and her team who really did go above and beyond to ensure we had a successful trip .
