The village plays host to a vast array of fine dining, café’s and pubs all intermingled with plenty of shopping and lots of fantastic walks which boast some of the most exceptional scenery you can imagine.

For those looking for the ultimate Lake District experience there is Kankku off roading adventures in Windermere or for the young and old alike there is the more relaxed Aquarium of the Lakes in nearby Newby Bridge only a short boat ride away.

  The house just outside of Bowness Town was a very good location to stay, being a 15 min walk or 5 min drive into town. The property itself was very large and roomy but full of period charm and is set in a lovely quiet and relaxing location.The owners of the house had added a lot of nice touches including books, games, Dvds, Sewing kit and First aid kit not including enough kichen bits and pieces to cook a 3 course meal. what we enjoyed the best was the central location of Old Belfield which is good for visiting other towns and villages. Also sitting in the living room at an evening watching the Rabbits and Squirrels playing on the garden was a delight.
