This lovely, semi-detached cottage is situated in Crook, adjacent to The Winster Valley, just four miles from the twin towns of Bowness and Windermere, and sleeps three people in two bedrooms. Thornyfield is a high quality, Grade II listed holiday cottage four miles from Bowness and Windermere. With two bedrooms, a double and a single, this holiday home can sleep up to three people. There is also a bathroom, a kitchen and a sitting room with woodburner and dining area. Outside, there is off road parking for two cars, and a patio with furniture and BBQ. This is a lovely cottage for a romantic getaway.

Fuel, power and starter pack for woodburner inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Leisure passes for the nearby Damson Dene Hotel (indoor swimming pool, sauna, steam room, Jacuzzi, gym) inc. in rent. Cot and highchair on request. Off road parking for 2 cars. Rear patio with furniture and BBQ. One well-behaved dog welcome. Sorry, no smoking. Shops 4 miles, pub 1.5 miles, Damson Dene Hotel 8 mins drive. Note: The owners live next door.

Town: The twin towns of Bowness and Windermere are both vibrant, fun-filled places set within the splendid scenery of the Lake District. Both towns provide a range of amenities, shops and restaurants to suit all tastes whilst Ambleside offers the additional attraction of a boat ride to Bowness, the Lakeside Aquarium and Beatrix Potter's 'Hill Top House' at Sawrey. Grizedale Forest Park is within easy driving distance and is home to a range of activities including many good walks, mountain biking and the 'Go Ape' adventure park. The region also boasts many National Trust properties as well as a variety of water sports for those who prefer a more adrenaline-fuelled trip. Winter Short Breaks (WSB) are available at many properties in the "Winter" period - subject to availability. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. Off Season Breaks (OSB) are available at many properties in parts of the "Low" and "Mid" periods - subject to availability. The price for a 3 night break is either 75% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. OSBs can be booked within a calendar month of the start date of the holiday. "Last Minute Breaks" (LMB) are available at most properties throughout the "LOW", "MID", "HIGH", "PEAK", "XMAS" and "NEW YEAR" periods. The price for a 3 night break is either 65% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. LMBs can be booked within one week of the start date of the holiday.

  We had a great week here. Highly recommended if you are looking for somewhere quiet with easy access to a lot of the sights. The Cottage was really nice, well stocked with everythema we needed.
