No problem with the arrangements for key pickup and entry. The home is very clean, spacious, even for 6 adults, a baby and Golden Retriever! First class.
The home is situated in a very good location on the site, with lots of excellent on site facilities. (Pool, bar, restaurant, shop, play area etc) I have no negative comments for our stay. If you are thinking about having a holiday here, go ahead. Read more

Stayed in this Lodge for a long weekend, the accommodation was amazing and everything we wanted. The beds are so comfy, the lodge is modern, very clean with a full inventory of everything that was needed during our stay. The South LakeLand Park that the lodge is situated in is very nice and in a very nice area, overlooking Lake Windermere. The facilities on site, the shop, bar, gym, pool etc...was a great bonus. The Park was dog friendly and the lodge's outside area was gated off (around the veranda, which was perfect for my 2 dogs to run in and out of the lodge as they pleased without escaping. The only thing I was not happy about was 'Ian' the wannabe coast guard when in actual fact he looks after one of the smallest jettys I have seen that requires manning (in other words, a jobs worth!).Whilst yes I understand that there is a dog walking area within the park, I for two seconds let my dogs off the lead whilst in an empty open fielded area near where he was manning his estate (2 boats on a mini jetty!) no other people around and off he came out on his little boat, demanding they were put on leads as I was breaking the rules!! Come on, it wasn't like they were causing chaos or disturbing anyone else. So that dampened my weekend. When I went to ask reception about where dogs can go, I was told to ignore the man on the boat and as long as my dogs are not out of control then its fine. The following day the jobs worth did not confront my husband in the same way he did me when he let the dogs off for 2 seconds so they could pee in peace, funny that as 'Coward' springs to mind!! The following day another guest advised me that the same man had stopped his 2yr old boy from dangling a FisherPrice plastic fishing rod from the Jetty as 'No Fishing' was allowed! The little boy was gutted, as if the boy could have caught anything with a pretend rod. All in all, I enjoyed my break, but wouldn't return to this park whilst ever he is still there,I would go to another South LakeLand Park though.

Had a lovely week with my 90 year old mother, daugter and grandaughter, lodge well equipped had everything except for a vaccum cleaner. Didn't eat at the site restaurant but The Litte Chippy in Windermere was 5 minutes away with excellent value and great fish and chips.
The site has all amenities with a bar, restaurant, swimming pool etc' and the free wifi was excellent we did however travel out every day and with the warm weather it was great to sit out on the balcony eating breakfast, dinner or just having a nice drink.

Just yards from the lake so a good position. Dishwasher also installed!! Bedrooms are tight for adults but manageable. Additional loo and wash basin useful and avoided bathroom queues. No BBQ ...shame. Would recommend and stay again.
a nice get away break

lodge was better than we expected, very clean and modern with everything we needed. In a quiet area, close to the lake. Usually see ducks walking around the site. In a good location as its close to Windermere and ambleside. Would recommend asking at reception where the lodge is exactly on the site as we went looking in the wrong place. Only down side is the restaurant on site closes at little earlier than we had hoped. But overall we would recommend it.
Fantastic stay!!! Will definitely be returning!!!

We stayed for an easter break! (My wife, myself and our 2 boys - aged 8 and 10) along with our dog.
We stayed for 5 nights, my in laws joined us for 3 of the nights! There was ample space for u all to stay comfortably! The log cabin had recently been re-decorated, updated to a very high standard!
The holiday park was very clean and well ran, with very pleasant, helpful staff!
All in all we had a wonderful stay and will almost certainly be returning!!!

This lodge was very well equipped with all usual mod cons. The lodge was clean and tidy with white bedlinen and towels throughout. Although a lakeside location, there was no access to the lake other than a very small area. All of the rest of the lakeside at this area was only accessible via private jetties which were all closed off. We had our two dogs with us and intended on walking, however , we found the only reasonable long walks for two large dogs were on the other side of the lake. We found we had to cross the lake via the ferry and accessed some lovely walks. The lodge itself was lovely and very comfortable, it was more the location for us and our dogs which was an issue.

We arrived on the thursday at 3.00pm to find we have no lighting in the living room, on the friday we had no hot water, on the saturday the toilet wouldnt flush and on the sunday the boiler broke down again!!! may it was just us and we were jinxed somehow, i had to keep ringing cottage holidays to get an engineer out and i must say the guy that turned up was most pleasant. Overall apart from the above we had a great holiday and the Lake View Lodge is excellent.

The cottage was perfect along with the location. The only thing which was mixed was too many people handling this .. But overall good stuff ..
