Additional Location Information
Trying to pinpoint why so many people are attracted to the Southern Highlands is all but impossible.
Spring? Tulip Time runs from September 18 to October 1 - gorgeous massed tulip displays at Corbett Gardens.
The scenery? Yes, but visitors are divided between the rolling green hills and the dramatic waterfalls in the true national park wilderness.
Shopping? Definitely, but is it the markets, the antiques, the books or the specialty shops.
The sense of history is a big drawcard, some like the quaint villages, while others enjoy the sporting memorabilia.
Wile away a day or two, visiting cellar doors and treating the senses to a cool climate food and wine experience.
No matter what brings you to the Southern Highlands, you'll have something in common with everyone, and the only trouble will be deciding what to do first.

SydneyComfortable, Cozy weekend getaway location
Left on 11/27/2012 for a stay in October 2012
The Bowral Barn was a great stay for a weekend away. You are greated by a cute little cottage that is comfortable for 6 people. The place was spacious and not cramped
There is a wonderful open fire which would be great to sit in front at acolder time of the year.
The location is great only a short drive to the center of town, but nestled far enough away as well.
My only suggestion for the Barn is a docking station or stereo where we could play music.
I would recommend this place for any group of friends and couples wanting to get away.
I will definitely stay again and hopefully in the colder climate to take advantage of the open fire.

Thank you for your kind review. We have taken your advice and put a speaker system in both Bowral Cottage and Bowral Barn. This will allow guests to play music using their ipods, iphones and other smart phones. We look forward to your next stay with us.

Spent two nights at Bowral Cottage with friends and we absolutely loved it. The cottage was spacious and clean with two open fire places to sit and enjoy a red wine. The cottage is so cute with lovely gardens just what you would expect from a country cottage. The location is fantastic just a 5 minute drive to town. I would highly recommend this cottage.

SydneyPeaceful and Beautifully Renovated

What a Jem! Just minutes from the centre of Bowral yet you feel like you are miles away. A cosy beautifully renovated Barn spacious enough for upto 6 adults. 2 generous bedrooms downstairs and a huge loft bedroom upstairs. Everything supplied from lovely linen and towels to modern kitchen with basic cooking condiments. We loved the huge fireplace complete with timber and the quietness of the property day and night. Highly recommend for a getaway from the city.

SydneyA beautiful and peaceful getaway a short drive from Sydney.
Left on 11/12/2012 for a stay in August 2012
As soon as we arrived we knew it was going to be a wonderful stay in peaceful surroundings. As we entered the door to The Cottage we saw that the owners had taken all our needs into consideration. From the fireplace, TV & DVD with a supply of Dvd's (especially as it was the middle of winter, it may come in useful for the kids if it rained). Then as you moved into the fully stocked kitchen with a few supplies if you arrived late. At the day's end when you climbed into bed the experience was not over with comfortable bedding and beautifully soft linen. We were close enough to town to spend some time exploring the beautiful town of Bowral but far enough away to relax and enjoy the countryside. We look forward to our next stay, this time in Summer.

Bowral Cottage is a gorgeous little escape from the ratrace. Just 1.5 hours from Sydney, this cute cottage was just what we were looking for in our weekend away. With plenty of grass outside for kids to play, and a beautiful open fire and pot belly fire in the kitchen meant the cold winter's nights were kept well at bay. Only a few minutes drive from the heart of Bowral, the cottage is very conveniently located near cafes and restaurants.
