Sedalia, COInfinitely better than the Super 8
Left on 03/16/2012 for a stay in March 2012
We were heading to the Bozeman area to visit grandkids; and their parents have a very small home. We needed a 'crash pad' someplace clean to sleep and shower, planning on spending all the time with the kiddos. Every hotel was booked but the Super 8 by the airport, not our first choice by a long shot, and very far from their home. On a whim, I searched 'vacation homes' and landed upon this gem! About 5 minutes from our kids place, in the country, we arrived at what our granddaughter described as 'Grandpa, you live in a castle!' To a 4 year old, it seemed like a castle. To us, it was more than perfect. Three levels with the bedroom down a spiral staircase and a ladder to the loft, with a charming living room on the main floor. We are country folks so falling asleep and waking up to the herd of black angus momma cows bellering for their babies was like a dream come true...so soothing and welcoming. Clean, crisp air greeted us as we took an early morning run down the dirt road past ranches and a dairy marveling at the mountains all around us. The cabin is about 7/10ths of a mile on a gravel road but the weather was great so we had no troubles getting there. We made it back late at night after a long day with the kiddos to find the path to the cabin door lit by lights...how thoughtful! The place is so comfortable, coffee and a few dishes. Microwave, small fridge. Just what you need. Bathroom was fabulous with warm floors, fluffy towels, shampoo/creme rinse/soap/body gel, hairdryer (and even a flat iron!)...everything you'd expect from a luxury hotel! We didn't have a chance to enjoy the patio and grill but plan to the next time we stay. It will be a perfect place for wine and cheese while we wait for our steaks to grill up! Stay here and you'll be so happy you did.

Eastern MontanaGreat getaway location!
Left on 02/05/2012 for a stay in January 2012
We were really impressed with the design of the cabin. The owner was so easy to work with when making reservations also. The cabin has great views of the Gallatin Valley mountains, but one can also experience the rich farm heritage that is unique to the Churchill/Amsterdam area. We liked the mix of the mountains and the farm fields. The cabin is also close to so many things from skiing to the rich culture of Bozeman. We will stay at the cabin again.
