Kalamazoo, MIThe perfect family reunion!
Left on 05/22/2013 for a stay in May 2013
We had seven adults who came together to fly fish, hike, and enjoy Bozeman's beautiful outdoors (as well as some awesome shopping). The house was very spacious, and we all agreed that the pictures didn't do it justice. It was one of the cleanest vacation homes in which we've stayed. The beds were all very comfortable, the linens were ample, and the rooms were well insulated so that they were quiet. We cooked in for dinner every night, and we always found all of the utensils and pots and pans we needed, along with a huge grill on the deck. The dining room table was large enough to seat far more than our party of 7. The view of the river and mountains from the kitchen windows was simply gorgeous, and we also enjoyed sitting on the patio looking at the same beautiful view. The location felt secluded, and yet we were only 10 minutes from major shopping (Cosco, REI, grocery stores and a fabulous downtown).
One of the main reasons for this trip was to learn more about fly fishing. Three people in our party took guided trips on two days and couldn't have been more pleased. Dane from Montana Troutwranglers (www.troutwranglers.com) was a skilled guide and teacher who taught them so much about the sport.
Four of us enjoyed massages at The Loft in downtown Bozeman, and we would definitely recommend their services.
We also were very impressed with Mountain Home, the management company. We found just a couple of tiny problems when we arrived, like a smoke detector battery that was beeping, and they were immediately resolved. Prior to our arrival, we received a folder full of information on the house and of things to do in the area. It was all very helpful. Every contact we made with Mountain Home was dealt with quickly and thoroughly, whether it was through email or by phone. We would definitely use them again.
River's Bend was such a lovely spot to spend a week. We all hated to leave. -

The Montana Home people were great--all of them. Quick and friendly, and very helpful. A very good service. The home was okay, the views and isolation were great. A little distance from town, but close to the airport.

We loved this house in all respects, it has a great first floor 'den' with TV for the kids and a huge quite lounge on the groundfloor for us adults. The garden stretches down to the river which has deer wandering around in the early morning (0630hrs) which was great to see. Everything works at this house and is easy to use, the welcome pack includes a bunch of goodies and a book of suggests of what to see and where to dine out. Beds are very comfortable and the showers are powerful with a constant hot water supply. In all, we loved it and I cannot say enough about the setting - what with the river and the mountain backdrop you could not ask for better. We are a family of 5, and I suppose quite demanding but this house met all our needs very well, thoroughly enjoyed being there. Thanks.

House was nice few little issues but nothing to spoil a wonderful holiday. Mountain home decorated the house for the holiday and got us a tree for my family to decorate, handled getting all our packages into the house for us that we had shipped ahead of time, was a pleasure!

This is a wonderful, spacious house set on the Gallatin River right outside of Bozeman.
In our group we had two couples and three singles, so all five bedrooms were used. We enjoyed everything about the house: the location, out of town and quiet, but a short drive into Bozeman; the spaciousness of the house; the view out back; the river was right there; we had all kinds of birds to watch; the great kitchen and dining room. I wouldn't call it fancy, just nice, big and very clean.
There are houses around this one, but the lots are huge; the houses are very far apart. It really felt like we were living in a lovely country home. And there aren't any houses across the river. We took some nice walks around the neighborhood; we saw very little traffic.
Everything at the house was in great shape except for a couple of little things that were broken (door stop, drink coaster, part of one of the blinds.) I just reported them to the agency and they were noted.
We were surprised at how well-stocked the kitchen was: so many dishes, etc., utensils, even some basic spices and cooking oil. There is a grill on the deck out back for cooking out.
The fact that there was only one TV and it was located upstairs was great. If someone wanted to watch TV, they could go up there and do so. Otherwise the downstairs was good for quiet talking or enjoying the view out back.
We didn't have any children with us, but I'm sure they would have had a wonderful time playing outside. There was a journal/guest book there that some of us enjoyed reading, and several of us wrote in before we left.
When I did have occasion to call the rental agency, we received very friendly and courteous service. We were worried about the river flooding the yard one day, and they sent a person out right away to check out the situation.
To summarize, this is an awesome house in a wonderful location. We would love to come back some day. -

The house was accomodating, comfortable, and very spacious. Convenient to all local amenities, and the Galatin River outside the back door is a natural treasure that adds great value to the experience of staying at this location. I would rightly recommned anyone contemplating a trip to Montana to stay at this location and enjoy the great beauty of this relaxing site.

Our stay included a family reunion event so this house was perfect in that it had a large number of bedrooms and bed combinations to accomodate a larger group. It was quiet and comfortable with all most amenities. The nicely laid out kitchen had had most needed supplies and utensils. Long table in dining room is great for bigger groups We loved the large back porch with picnic table and the grassy lawn for kids games. Best of all this house is 10 paces (!) from the scenic East Gallatin which is a slow moving (in July) not very wide river that offers great swimming and fishing holes. Fun for all ages. Our group caught rainbows and brown trout using both fly and spinner gear. We kept a few of the bigger fish for dinner.

The River?s Bend Retreat served as home base for family and friends from all around the country as we gathered to celebrate our son?s wedding. The house proved to be the ideal place to meet our needs. With the large kitchen and upstairs kitchenette there was plenty of room to bake the wedding cake as well as prepare meals. There was space to gather in large groups and also space to spread out around the house in cozy, intimate corners. The river was an endless source of entertainment and the scenery was unbelievably beautiful. The house was conveniently located to both the wedding venue and to downtown Bozeman. We could not have asked for a better spot for this special time in our lives. I will forever be grateful to the wonderful staff at Mountain Home for recommending River?s Bend to us.
