Runaway Bay is a lovely vacation resort on beautiful grounds between the Gulf of Mexico and Sarasota Bay (north of Sarasota and south of St. Petersburg). This condo is perfect, it has everything you will possibly need and more! The pictures are exactly what you will see when you open the door. Nice full size washer/dryer. Kitchen has everything you will need. There are beach chairs, toys, beach umbrella, & beach towels for you to use. The beach is literally across the street maybe a two minute walk. There were manatees swimming by one morning and the ocean was perfect for swimming in. It was not crowded at all. The pool is very nice and we did swim there in the late evenings. Everyone was very nice and respectful. I would recommend this place to anyone wanting a nice condo by the beach! Oh and free Wi-fi.

This was a perfect place for our family of 4. The second bedroom with 2 beds was ideal for the 2 girls and they loved having their own space. The condo was clean, supplied everything we needed and having the washer and dryer to do laundry was an awesome bonus! Having all the toys and chairs available for the beach was also another great added bonus. We went to the pool every day where everyone was friendly, and was welcoming and all the kids just played together while the adults had fun too. The tennis court also was a bonus in the evenings after it cooled off and got to play around a bit. We could not have asked for better weather either, sunny every day except the first day rained a little. The restraunts on the island and around the island are all family friendly, kid friendly and there is nothing better than enjoying your dinner on the beach, watching the sun set while the kids play in the sand! My husband was able to golf almost every day and it was only a short ride away from the outlets where we did some much needed shopping! We also rented a boat one Saturday from a marina just 2 minutes from the condo and it was another wonderful experience we all enjoyed. We can't wait to go again next year for a few weeks...10 days was just not enough

This condo is exactly as advertised. We walked in and felt like we had been there before. Carey is very hands on and called while we were there to make sure all was well. This is a very convenient place to be on the island. Close to very nice restaurants and a trolley stop right out front. This is a real gem!

This condo was bright and spacious and extremely clean. The grounds and pool are very well taken care of and the complex is right across the road to the beach. The condo is well equipped with everything that one would need for cooking and there are Bbq's within the complex.

This condo is beautifully decorated and has every amenity. My husband and I were very happy with the condo complex. We were there in May and it was not crowded and the weather was fabulous. The restaurants in the area are fantastic.

The condo was very well stocked with everything we could have needed. Well equiped kitchen, TVs in every room, hairdryers, washing machine and drier, beach towels, cool boxes, beach chairs and umbrellas. Nice bright clean decoration and a massive bed in master bedroom.
The location was great with the bay on one side of the complex and just across the road there was access to a beautiful beach. The complex also had a pool, a small gym and a tennis court.
This was our first visit to anna Maria Island and we loved it, a great place to relax and unwind. Great scenery, wildlife in abundance and a laid back attitude. Also not too far from Tampa, we visited Busch Gardens (about 1 hr drive) and Orlando (about 2 hrs) and about 30 mins from the big shopping outlet in Ellington.
Communication with the owners was easy and we would have no hesitation recommending this condo to others. -

Had a great time on aMI. The condo was very nice. We found the accomodations comfortable and clean with a great location.
Loved the small balcony for Morning coffeee overlooking the pond and fountain. We used the grills in the picnic areas. Everyone of the nieghbors were very nice and helpful with Restaurant reccomendations and activity suggestions. -

This was the perfect place for us to stay! Love the pool and the beach across the street. Tennis courts are accessible. The condo itself is very clean and roomy. We can't wait to go back!

This vacation was amazing! My friend and I went down to enjoy some time in the sun and had the time of our lives! The condo is gorgeous! It has all the amenities that a home away from home should have, and then some:) The porch with table and chairs was were we spent most of our time, enjoying the amazing view, calming water fountain and swaying palm trees. The food on the island was great too! We enjoyed going to Rotten Ralphs for the all you can eat fish and chips, Gulf Drive Cafe for their great breakfast, and just down the road off the island we loved Clancys for their coconut shrimp and cheeseburgers!!! The pool was being renivated while we were there, but the ocean right across the street was warm and inviting! Very clear and shallow with no fears of the marine life:) The condo had all the beach items we needed including chairs, a cooler, and umbrellas, even noodles for floating! Thank you so much for making our vacation a great memory we will never forget!!! Hope to be there soon!!!
