The building is conveniently located to the beach and bay. The view of the bay from the top unit is spectacular for sunrises. Each unit is spacious, nicely furnished and fully equipped. The porch is a bonus. I have stayed here several times in the past and this condo quickly became my favorite spot on the island.
The last two visits we had problems with the cleanliness of the units. In January of 2008 we had to move to another condo due to filthy carpets that should have been cleaned prior to our arrival. In June of 2008, after our 3:00pm check in, we again found the top unit uncleaned, the beds unmade, the washer and dryer running and the refrigerator full of food. While we debated what to do next the maid's son entered the unit only to find us checked in. He left and returned with his mother who stated that no one was supposed to be staying in the unit that night. They cleaned out their food and left. My wife and I cleaned the unit. The only reason we stayed was that our family was already unpacked in the lower unit. I called Island Vacation Properties and left a message but we never received a response from them nor an apology.
We will never stay in a unit again that is managed by this company.
Bay Delight is a beautiful building and a wonderful vacation home. Island Vacation Properties needs better over sight, follow up to complaints and a dependable cleaning service.

Thank you for taking the time to respond. The property you stayed in, was booked as a parent, meaning both properties are rented as one. We were not aware of a software problem in scheduling cleanings for these type properties. I don't know if your message was ever received, but let me take the time to offer our apology to you now for the inconvenience you experienced. I am sorry you won't have the chance to see the new flooring that has been added to the unit. Island Vacation Properties
