Anna Maria Island is known for its seven miles of sandy, white gulf coast beach. There are three cities (not the kind most of us would envision) on the Island with a combined population of under 10,000 – it feels like a seaside village. The pace is laid-back. Residents are friendly and warm to visitors. There are no high rises obscuring beach views and access. Our family had the best vacation of our lives at Lime Cottage. Our boys are 11, 7, and 4 and they could not get enough of the pool, the beach,the house, and the area restaurants!
My husband and I were impressed with everything the house was equipped for. Everything we need to cook, play, relax, go to the beach... everything was thought of! The house has adorable decor and everything is clean and in good working order. The online pictures are an accurate reflection.
The owner was more than helpful leading up to the trip and during the trip. Even though he is many miles away, he is a great area tour guide and goes to great lengths to make sure the stay is memorable and enjoyable.
We can't wait to go back again! -

I have never stayed in a place where everything you need is available. The owners know what it takes to have an enjoyable vacation. The lime cottage is clean, spacious, and very comfortable. The pool is private, clean and and well kept..just beautiful. Chris is very thorough, timely, and made sure that we were having a great time.

This was my third trip to anna Maria and I was very pleased with the Lime Cottage rental...The owners thought of everything! Just bring your clothes and food and just about everything you need is provided...including umbrellas by the front door! Thankfully we didn't need them...Beautiful weather except for one day (cloudy)...Three flat screen TVs and a phone handset in each bedroom and the LR...The cabinets were stocked with spices, garbage bags, foil, etc...The neighborhood itself was wonderful...very quiet and it was a very short walk to the beach and we made good use of the beach cart and chairs. After the beach we enjoyed the nice warm pool. Even though Chris and Stephanie live far away, he was always available with a phone call...The week went by much too fast...would definitely go back, but I've decided one week is not enough!

Just returned from a wonderful 2 week stay at Lime Cottage in Bradenton Beach. Truly a home away from home. I'm very selective and wasn't disappointed. Everything you need is there. Many personal touches, including Chris, the owner's help with setting up wifi - my learning curve with a new Bbz10. Checking in was a breeze! Comfy beds and linens. Fabulous pool in a tropical, private garden complete with outdoor shower and a great BBQ.
Location is perfect - 2 1/2 blocks to the beach - less than a 5 min walk. Good quality beach chairs and umbrella provided. A wagon is even provided for
families.
Close to shopping, restaurants and many of the Gulf's spectacular beaches.
Our only disappointment was leaving.

From the moment we opened the door to a Lime Cottage we knew that we would be comfortable and refreshed on our 2 week vacation. Our host, Chris is efficient, professional and accommodating. The cottage is clean and thoughtfully stocked for enjoying pool, beach, cooking and relaxing. The option of enjoying the beach or lounging quietly by the pool provided optimal conditions for sunning and swimming. The free trolley service on the island also proved to be convenient as my husband would be away with the vehicle enjoying the beautiful golf courses in the area. The grocery store on the island provided everything we needed for cooking spectacular meals yet the opportunity to eat out is equally delightful. Beach or pool? Car or Trolley? Eat in or dine out? Explore or stay in? Anyway you slice it, it is good.

I'm reluctant to rave too much about the Lime Cottage because it's already popular and we want to visit again! Owners Chris and Stephanie have thought of everything that a visitor would need. Located about two blocks between great views of the bay and the amazing Bradenton Beach, the Lime Cottage has its own pool, is close to shopping, restaurants, and recreation. My wife and I loved the homelike feel of the cottage, the laid back feel of the town, and anna Maria Island's proximity to great Florida locations to visit.

We had a thoroughly relaxing time here with our toddler. The house is instantly welcoming, well equipped, clean and very comfortable. It is very close to the beach and free trolley bus stop - an excellent location.
There was everything that we needed in the kitchen and we found the owner to be incredibly helpful and very efficient in all our dealings.
I would happily recommend this property and indeed any other property managed by Chris, given the great service he provided. -

This was our first trip to the island and a Lime Cottage was better than expected. when we arrived and walked in there was an immediate warm, comfortable feeling and we felt at home. There was nothing we needed to purchase except for perishables. Chris' cofee table book was exceptional as was his information book about the house and island. Having stayed in many rental homes in other locations we can say Chris and Stephanie did this the right way. We were fortunate to have met Chris while we were there and he was a very gracious "host." We have already booked next year as this feels like our home away from home.

Excellent service from the owner who has thought of everything that you could possibly need to use in there cottage ,which was also spotless and very wellcoming.It is ideally placed with a very short walk to the beach 3-5 minutes.All beach items that you might need are provided by the owner.We visted the restaurants nearby Beachouse restaurant,Rod and Reel and Lobstahs all very good.Food shopping choice Publix and Farmfresh everything you need close by.Anna Marie Island is a very relaxing place to go for a holiday and we will be returning back to Lime Cottage in the near future.

As soon as we walked in we knew it was going to be great. The house was furnished with everything you could need for your stay, except food, drink, and personal stuff. The house was wonderful inside and out and the pool was perfect, clean and the right temperature. With the beach only a couple of blocks away we walked the beach every morning with coffee in hand and even at nite a few times. Watching the sun set was so relaxing, it made us feel great and the fishing right on the beach could not be beat. We only went out to eat a few times to some of the "places" and were not impressed. Maybe not the right time I don't know. Just to tourist oriented. The prices were high and the food was not worth the cost. One place (no names) had a clothes shop you had to go through to get a table and the service was as horrible as the food. I'm sure there are good places to go we just didn't find them. There are some great places to explore around the island and tons to do. The owner was great, he keep in touch and left contact numbers if any problem arose. We had a wonderful time and plan in coming back, that is a first for us. Almost don't want you to read this, we want to keep this place our little secret.

We stayed for the first a couple weeks ago for the first time at the. our first impression was how clean it was. we have rented several other homes mainly in the outer banks, and none have been close to this clean and well stocked. everything you would need was at the house. the owners we wonderful to deal with. i was sent an email mid week to "just check to make sure we were alright and did not need anything." location was also great, and the pool was clean and wonderful. i would recommend the house to anyone and we look forward to our next trip back.

This house is the perfect place to spend a relaxing vacation in Florida. Only two blocks from the beach and it also has very private backyard with a pool. The house is very well equipped so there was nothing we could think of that was missing. It has a very charming interior. The owner answered emails almost immedeatly and gave us a lot of helpful information about retaurants and shops in the area. Everything in the house was extremly clean and in great conditions.

We just returned from our two week stay at the So family's Lime Cottage in Bradenton Beach. I cannot begin to express how pleased we were with both the house and the attentiveness of the owner.
As a family of 3 (my daughter being 3 years old) this house was absolutely perfect for us...spacious enough and extremely reasonably priced. The house had everything (and I mean everything!) we needed, so much so that we truly just packed suitcases full of clothes and that's about it! The house has pool toys, beach toys, floats, towels, beach chairs, and even a wagon to easily get it all to the beach. Heck, Chris and Steph even try to supply most of the essentials (i.e. toilet paper, paper towels, laundry detergent, etc) to at least get you started for the first few days...what other owner does that?
The location is wonderful...a two minute walk to the beach and right across from a beach access point; the grocery store is less than 5 minutes away.
Chris takes his job as host very seriously, and was super in tune to making sure we had everything we needed, including instantaneous advice via email when I wanted to know where to take a tired, antsy 3 year old for dinner!
This was, by far, one of our best vacations on record, and we look forward to staying at a Lime Cottage again when we visit anna Maria Island in the future!

Our parents live in this area, so we were searching for a nice home at a reasonable price.We stayed at Chris and Steph's wonderful cottage for two weeks, and were totally delighted. Chris even made sure the sun shown for us every morning and the Gulf water remained a very comfortable 82 degrees.( He made sure Debby held back, until we left) :) We don't know how he did it, but he did! Their home is not only lovely but comfortable and uniquely detailed. My son, Chris loved the pool and spent much of his time in it, while we were fishing off the beach. There was nothing missing from this vacation rental. Our stay was relaxing and stress free. We especially liked the Keyless entry, which eliminated the worry of losing or forgetting keys. When we had any questions, Chris was just a call away. It really felt like home. We enjoyed fishing off ana Maria Pier, eating at the Sandbar, Gulf Cafe and Philippi Creek. We also enjoyed some great burgers at Duffy's. They have the old time small coke bottles, that even my teenage son, still enjoys. Just sitting around the pool reading a book, was enjoyable.We have been visiting this area for over 15 years and we can honestly say that this year was one of our most pleasurable stays. This house was perfect to accomodate not one but two families comfortably. The pool was an added bonus and was just the right size. Everything was clean and tidy, and made you feel right at home! It was so nice to have all the little extras (ie. beach toys, towels, pool toys) right there to enjoy, and I loved not having to worry with packing all the extras. It was in walking distance to the beach. I would highly recommend this vacation rental to anyone...it made our experience at anna Maria Island just perfect!

we stayed at Lime Cottage for only 4 nights. it became obvious this was far too short. To fully enjoy the Cottage and Island we needed more time.
The Cottage was fab. It had all we needed to ensure our holiday in the us finished on a high, we really did not want to leave. The Cottage is well within 3 minutes walk to the white sandy beach and only a short walk to the shops.
it was our first time to the Island, but we would love to return.
Dealing with Chris was fantastic, so helpful.

My husband and I just returned from 2 marvellous weeks at Lime Cottage. The only thing wrong was that it was only 2 weeks.
The cottage surpassed our expectations absolutely everything is supplied and the quality of the items is topnotch. Attention to detail is everywhere and the place is spotless.
We felt no need to venture far afield as we could spend mornings on the beach enjoying the surf and people watching, and, afternoons enjoying the privacy of the cottage pool. I often left my husband on the beach, walked back to the cottage, prepared lunch and returned with it to the beach, all wthin 10 minutes.
Chris made our stay seamless. We definitely felt like we were sharing his home and we were not just money making clients for him. He went out of his way to help me track down an item I had inadvertently left behind.
Antone renting this delightful place will not be disappointed.

This was our third winter visit to aMI, and our third rental. A Lime Cottage was the best by far. The setting for the private pool was wonderful. Palm trees and tropical vegetation gave us that tropical paradise feel. Add tiki torches at night, and the magic begins! The interior of the cottage was charming, with aMI water colors and various depictions of parrots. The flat screen TVs in the living area and both bedrooms were nice, as well as the MP3 player and sound system. The location is indeed a few minutes from the beach, and a short drive, or long walk, to many restaurants. The service was excellant. There was a glitch with the outdoor shower, and Chris had a plumber out the next day. We stayed for three weeks, and had a delightful time. We will return.

We just spent our Xmas and New Years at The Lime Cottage. What a perfect place for anything! Nothing has been overlooked. The cottage is beautiful, clean and fully loaded! It has everything you would need and want in a vacation rental.. My suggestion is to book it as soon as you can, when the word gets out, there may never be another opening!

My wife and I just returned from a very relaxing week at a Lime Cottage and we recommend it highly. It's perfect for a couple or family and there's everything provided that you could need. The house interior is beautiful and the backyard and pool area is a great place to hangout (and cook on the grill!) Anna Maria Island has a more laid-back vibe than the mainland, with several good restaurants and lovely sunsets over the gulf beaches. Chris, the owner, was excellent to deal with and made the business end go very smoothly. Stay here for a week and the only problem is that the time to go comes way too soon!

From reserving the cottage, to getting the keys, the process was easy and that's what we were looking for. Also from the inside-out the cottage is beautiful! The relaxed-beachy style you've created inside the cottage is adorable ~ and with it being so close to the amazing Gulf and beach...you'll just start to feel like a local! I will have to say that we had a few things we liked the best. One was of course having the luxury of watching a sunset every evening, and one evening we spied an Osprey in a tree on the beach, and when we came back the next morning, he was still there!! It was then that we watched him fly and dive for a fish in the water! Very exciting!! And the second was having a pool to get into at our whim! Now that was special, and appreciated!

Lime Cottage is a really great place to stay. Chris and his family have really thought of everything to make you feel at home straight away.The cottage is very clean and beautifully decorated with an eye for detail. There is plenty of space and comfort both inside and outside in the backyard pool area which is great. We had a wonderful time at a Lime cottage and we would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a little Paradise.

We were looking for a home away from home for a beach vacation with our children (boy 7 and girl 3). A Lime Green Beach House provided comfort, convenience, privacy and a place to relax in solitude and enough amenities to keep the kids amused on a reasonable budget.
Chris and Steph have done a great job outfitting the house with everything you need. The fact this is where they spend their family vacations ensures attention to detail and good service.
The house is well equipped. We had all the gear you might want for beach outings and an all terrain wagon to carry them the short walk to the ocean.
The biggest hit was the private heated pool where we grilled, threw our own private tiki parties, basked in the sun and wore the kids out so they slept well at night.
Indoors we were welcomed by a clean house, wifi, convenient kitchen layout, four tvs with hundreds of channels and overflow living/lounging space in the Florida room/bar. The two bathrooms and bedroom configuration (one King and one Queen-single bunk plus a pull-out)made it easy to add my sister-in-law to the guest list at the last minute.
Our family of four packed for a week in two carry-on bags. Thanks to the convenient laundry room, we didn't even need that much and were able to arrive home with neatly folded, clean clothes.
We would recommend a Lime Cottage Beach House to anyone looking for a family retreat on anna Maria Island.

We were so happy with this beautiful gem. The house was 2 blocks to the beach and had a perfect little pool in the backyard for when you wanted to stay in. The house had everything you could possibly need. From comfortable beds, a fully equipped kitchen, laundry room, BBQ. beach gear and stocked supplies, we couldn't ask for more. Our hosts were so very helpful and were there for anything we needed or had questions about. We will definitely return! Loved it.

We had a great time at the Lime Cottage house. The house and the pool area were very clean. Perfect location, very close to the most beautiful beaches at anna Maria island. Greta stay for people who like to take long walks along the beach.
The house is beautifully designed and fully equipped with kitchen and beach accessories. My husband and I enjoyed the full comfort of the house and the beauty of anna Maria.

My family and I stayed at a Lime Cottage for one week and thought it was just perfect. You can really tell the house is a "home," not just another vacation rental. Everything you could possibly need is available there, including pool toys, beach toys, beach towels, a wagon to transport everything to the beach, coolers, etc.
Having access to our own private pool was fantastic. This pool was very young-child-friendly, with a couple of shallow areas where our 2 year old could stand and play without assistance.
Lime Cottage's website states that it's a 3 minute walk to the beach, but we didn't even think it took that long! The house is very close to a beautiful and accessible stretch of white-sand beach filled with wildlife and shells and the most beautiful turquoise waters you can imagine. We saw all kinds of birds on the beach and had the amazing experience of seeing dolphins (only 50 yards away!) in the water as we were splashing and playing in the shallow water near the shore.
We had 3 people in our group, but the house would comfortably accomodate more. In the kitchen, many "staple" items were already available for use and the cabinets were fully stocked for cooking simple meals. There is also a large grill available in the pool area, which we used to grill chicken, burgers and hot dogs.
I also can't say enough about the owners. They are truly invested in this home and making a stay in it a positive experience. Chris was very communicative, helpful and kind. He even provided suggestions for interesting activities, good restaurants and gave great directions from the airport.
When we decided we wanted to travel to anna Maria Island, we checked the rates of several resorts, hotels and condos. A Lime Cottage not only provides excellent amenities, but also a great value. The rates are significantly lower than other places we checked, and we can't imagine they had more to offer.
In short, we will be back!!! -

Lime Cottage is the perfect place to disappear from the world for a week, or two, and enjoy the pleasures of island life. The cottage is clean, comfortable and cool. It's a two-minute walk from the beach, where we watched the most beautiful sunsets I've ever seen. Every night was a new experience. We loved the backyard pool. It was a great place for unforgettable family experiences. We'll recommend it to all of our friends.

A Lime Cottage had everything we needed. We love to swim in the ocean-went 2-4 times a day-the many towels helped out!! Our teen was in the pool every morning-nice size compared to some huge houses we have visit in the area. the beds were very comfortable,so many frosted mugs,plastic dining items for use in the pool area,toys,grill great,air temp excellent,waffle iron (& we were just going to make pancakes)and the decor,furniture,& nautical decor made us fell as in the tropics.Not far from our favorite res. in Sarasota,Phillippi Creek that we went to & swam at Lido. Will recommend to all-hope to afford next year.

The owners are simply fantastic and they have thought of all the details, including beach towels, beach chairs, and a wagon to cart all of your beach gear. They have taken great care in providing a house with a modern look and comfortable feel. The location is prime, with a 3 minute walk to a private beach with glorious sunsets. A private pool and a quiet street are just icing on the cake, and the local restaurants are delicious! This house would be great place to stay for a couple, friends, or a family. With great owners and a clean and tastefully decorated house in a prime location, I cannot recommend it enough! Book your stay now!

My husband and I with our 17 & 15 yr olds spent a week at the lime green cottage. We all had a wonderful time. The house has a great location we walked to the beach several times a day. When we weren't at the beach I couldn't keep my son out of the pool. There is alot to see and do and we all wished we would have had more time to spend at the cottage. I would highly recommend staying in the cottage and we would defintely stay again...

A Lime Cottage Beach House was the perfect place for my family to stay. I have a 15 year old and a 12 year old. They both loved it! The pictures online do not do the house justice. It is so beautiful inside and out. The backyard is a paradise all its own. The location is great. It is located close to all the shops and extremely close to the beach. We walked to the beach several times a day. I have stayed on the island several times before, but this house was by far my favorite. I will be back, hopefully more than once. According to the kids we need to rent the house forever, I agree!
