Located in the gated community of the River Strand Golf and Country Club near Bradenton, this is a 2010 built and designer furnished property with its own pool and spa and set beside a beautiful lake.
The comfortable lounge has 2 sofas and a 48 inch wide screen HD TV and DVD player. HD cable TV is available in all rooms as is Wi-Fi high speed internet. There is a separate dining area.

We had a great time at the rental. The home was beautiful and fit our family well. We enjoyed playing tennis and pool at the clubhouse. We spent a lot of our week at anna Maria Island and the drive wasn't too far. The only downside was that the pool was pretty cold. I would pay to have it heated if I were to stay there again.

Unfortunately the climate in December can be a liitle cool and I would certainly reccomend pool heat during the winter months so you enjoy the property to the fullest.

We are a family of four and regular visitors to Bradenton who stayed here for two weeks in late June. The property is in good shape. There was one hitch due to a tropical storm (obviously beyond anyone's control) that caused a little flooding in one bedroom, but the management company was easy to deal with and came quickly to repair the damage. Other than that, the home itself is lovely, with three bedrooms (comfortable and clean beds), a kitchen stocked with all you'll need to cook, a serene screened lanai with pool that overlooks a lake (complete with an alligator we had fun watching, but no worries, he doesn't come close). We found it took about 40 minutes to drive to anna Maria Island to take in the beach or to Cortez where our kid did a tennis tournament. Speaking of tennis, the owners will transfer membership to the River Strand club for a fee and if you are a tennis player or a golfer, we'd recommend it. Since we have a serious tennis playing teen, the club was super friendly and hooked her up with other visiting teens to practice with, as well as their ball machine. All we had to do was ask. Lovely tennis facility, we were very impressed. The restaurant was nice as well. We are not golfers, but I suspect the golf facilities are just as accommodating.
This was our first time renting a home for a vacation in the area, as opposed to staying at a resort, and we are hooked. Definitely will do it again. Thanks to Gulf Villa Rentals and the homeowners for making it pleasant!Response from Gulf Villa Rentals - 05/06/2013

We agree that the amenities at River Strand are 1st class. it is also refreshing to learn that the club were very accommodating.
It is a shame that your stay was slightly hindered by Mother Nature but I am pleased the situation was addressed quickly by our maintenance staff.
