This holiday apartment benefits from spectacular views and offers comfortable accommodation for up to four people in two beautifully decorated bedrooms. Situated in the stunning Newlands Valley and just one mile from the village of Braithwaite is this first floor apartment in the delightful wing of the owner's property. This impressive flat is a wonderful holiday home, offering open-plan living accommodation that has been renovated to a high standard. With two bedrooms, a fully fitted kitchen and a spacious and comfortable living area, the property has been decorated to a very high standard and is ideally situated to operate as a base for ex...ploring the surrounding countryside. Walkers staying in the apartment will be spoiled for choice, as everything from gentle ambles to more challenging hikes up Skiddaw and Catbells are available close by.

Electric cooker, microwave, fridge/freezer, washer/dryer, dishwasher, TV, DVD player, radio, stereo/CD player, WiFi, library of DVDs, books & games. All fuel and power inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Cot and highchair on request. Off road parking for two cars. Separate area allocated in large mature gardens with garden furniture and BBQ. Sorry, no pets and no smoking. Shops 20 mins walk, pub serving food 15 mins walk. Please note: There are no stairs accessing this property.

Region: Impressive mountains, open fells and clear-water lakes, the Lake District has it all. From walking in the mountains to exhilarating watersports or just a gentle cruise on a steam-powered yacht, Cumbria is the perfect holiday destination.

Town: Set between the magnificent northern lakes of Derwentwater and Bassenthwaite is the stunning village of Braithwaite. With much of its traditional appeal, the village is enhanced by the Coledale Beck which runs through the town – an idyllic settlement with whitewashed Lakeland cottages, two village shops and two real ale Inns, each brimming with character. Between Braithwaite and Buttermere is the beautiful Newlands Valley, whilst visitors can also enjoy the picturesque Bassenthwaite Lake which is well worth a visit. All levels of walkers are catered for, from a gentle countryside ramble to a challenging hike up Skiddaw. All prices are inclusive of the booking fee. The "Min. Per Night" prices quoted are based on the weekly rental price, they are not applicable for short breaks. See our short break policy or ask for further details.
Winter Short Breaks (WSB) are available at many properties in the "Winter" period - subject to availability. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. Off Season Breaks (OSB) are available at many properties in parts of the "Low" and "Mid" periods - subject to availability. The price for a 3 night break is either 75% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. OSBs can be booked within a calendar month of the start date of the holiday. "Last Minute Breaks" (LMB) are available at most properties throughout the "LOW", "MID", "HIGH", "PEAK", "XMAS" and "NEW YEAR" periods. The price for a 3 night break is either 65% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. LMBs can be booked within one week of the start date of the holiday.

  This cottage is perfectly placed in one of the most beautiful valleys in the Lake District for those who like to walk straight from the door.
  You are spoilt for choice as to which way to roam.
  The views from the lounge are second to none looking out over Cat Bells Blencahtra and Skidaw.
  The cottage has everything you should need at no extra cost
  You have the largest selection of Dvd's that we have ever seen in a cottage.
  It is a first froor apartment with a one bedroom apartment to the side and a large 3 bed apartment below.
  The two other apartments have balconeys but unfortunately this one does not but you can sit out in the garden or just look out of the lounge window for outstanding views
  Would definately be happy to come to this cottage again.
  Also nice birds in the garden.

  This is the second time we have stayed in this place but last year we were in the larger of the cottages. It is in a superb location. So peaceful and with absolutely stunning views - you just can't fault it. The whole area just took by breath away and I will surely be visiting again. It is delightful. Thank you so much

  Walking into the accomodation we were struck with the outstanding view from the lounge window. The owner was there to greet us and we were delighted with the whole apartment which had everything we could wish for. The location was just what we were looking for with many walks right from our door.
  The peace and quiet was lovely, and even though we had neighbours next door and below us, there were no disturbances. There was only one critisism in that there was no coat hooks in the property so when we came back wet from our walks we had to drape our coats over the bath, but this was such a small thing that it did not detract from our holiday in the slightest. This property is highly recommended and we actually booked it again for the same time next year within a week of leaving.
